An excellent point. I suggest doing that, yes. there will need to be a gap in it in order to attach the steering mechanism to the wheels and motor, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Adjustments to seat position should be easy to deal with as well, as they don't necessarily need to be powered. We can simply use dials or levers to alter such things. Not the most convenient, but it is simple.
I hear your birthday was rather forgotten. Not that I can say anything, I didn't give you a present on the actual day. There should be a box outside your door.
