jjk itafushi jujutsu kaisen satosugu I mean jjk spoilers jujutsu kaisen spoilers but in all seriousness tho stsg was a caution tale of a generation wrecked by forced separation and repressed trauma literally no one looked out for them like gojo did for itfs if there is no safety net of course they are going to free fall so it’s actually kinda unfair to say that the kfc break up happened because they didn’t know how to talk to each other not saying that non-communication was not an issue it’s also a generational/circumstantial thing within the boundaries of jujutsu society stsg was doomed to fail while itfs had everything they needed for a CHANCE at success and they only made it because someone who was failed by that very same society cared enough to do something about it even though i do love to draw parallels between stsg and itfs i genuinely don’t think that stsg failed and itfs succeeded because of the difference in communication the dynamic might be similar but the individuals are extremely different there is no reality on god’s green earth where gojo or geto is going to wish for a normal life with each other there is no reality where gojo or geto would find genuine happiness in mundanity even if they had each other come on now maybe it’s a cultural thing but a lot of western fans interpret stsg and itfs so wildly different from how i see them not saying that their interpretations are wrong - just that it’s clear that i don’t grow up in the same culture and as a result i have a different approach in reading themes and subtexts too
