Part 2 🐻❄️
You knew not to expect Felix to be home before late at night. The dance company he worked at was busy with their recent holiday projects.
One of them being a huge dance performance, Felix tasked to be the main lead.
Still, he never fails to let you know when he does come home. Usually giving you a long and weak hug with a kiss before quickly crashing.
Sometimes you’re lucky and can convince him to stay up just to eat something.
What you didn’t expect was for your boyfriend to walk in at only 7, still looking just as exhausted as other nights.
“What happened?” You sat up from the couch as you set aside the fuzzy blanket you had been cuddled up in. He shuffled towards you and seemingly collapsed before you could fully stand up.
He grumbled into your shoulder, muffled by your shirt. It was endearing to see him practically melt in your arms, hands threaded into his blond hair.
“The power went out, let us go early so they could fix the issue.”
Even when gravelly and barely loud enough to properly hear, the exhaustion was clear. “But you’ll be back tomorrow?” You guessed as he hummed in confirmation.
“Probably, we still have a lot to do.”
You sighed in tandem, a small chuckle following after, finding it funny you were in sync. “Did you eat something today?”
He hummed back. It wasn’t an answer that told you much but judging by his dismissive tone you can guess it’s a no.
“It’s not too late to order take out.”
He didn’t respond this time, no huffing and puffing, no squeeze around your waist where his arms were wrapped around.
His breathing evened out as his chest pressed against yours with each gentle breath he took. It made you smile slightly in admiration.
“Or not…” You mumbled, burying your face into his soft blond hair.

You and Felix had been friends since junior year when you joined his high school after moving. You had a lot of the same classes and one day he saw you listening to a song he really liked and sparked up a conversation, since he is indeed an extrovert.
This friendship grew until now, as you guys are now in your twenties and you have a little problem…
Your heart seems to only beat for him.
This won’t be a problem though, you’re very good at hiding your feelings! It just so happens he’s also really good at reading people.
“Something’s wrong.” He mumbled, eyes narrowed and nose scrunched in thought. “What’s bothering you?” He asked casually, turning around to rest his back against the wall as you sit on the floor of the dance studio.
You and him teach weekly dance classes and you two were currently on a break.
“It’s nothing.” You huffed, stretching out your arms at bit while trying to touch your toes. “No, something’s off and it’s bothering you. And me.” He replied, continuing to ask you multiple questions.
You had no hope of silencing him so your best bet without revealing anything would be to just ignore him. “Come on Y/n! We tell each other everything, it can’t be that bad.” He whined slightly, squatting next to you to see your face.
“I’m here to listen and talk to, always.” He added before sighing a dejected sigh and walk off, clapping his hands. “5 more minutes!”
You couldn’t help but also sigh, feeling guilty to make him feel sad but also knowing that if you wanted to keep the friendship going; you had to keep your mouth shut.
The day went smoothly after that, and you two were soon done with dance class.
“Hungry?” He asked, making you nod. “Yep! Pasta?” You asked, it being his turn to nod.
“But can we go home first and shower?” He asked. “Fine, but don’t take too long; and hour tops to get ready.” You replied making him smile.
“Great! See ya in an hour then.” He said before walking off in the opposite direction towards his apartment.
When you had made it to your apartment you made sure to jump into the shower, scrubbing off all the sweat. You knew it would take a while to blow dry your hair so as you blow dried it; You also went through all your clothes for something casual but still nice.
The restaurant you two usually go to whenever you’re craving pasta is a nice and classy one, one most people would take their date to.
But not you two, nope! Absolutely not. That is definitely not why, since high school, Felix has always wanted to go to that restaurant.
At least, that’s what you told yourself.
Luckily your hair was dried fast and you brushed it out, knowing you didn’t have any time to do anything fancy you let it be and focused on your makeup.
Just light makeup, nothing heavy since you still were exhausted from the dance class and didn’t have the energy to put any effort and because you didn’t want Felix to think you were a try hard.
But he already knows that, and that made you curse at yourself. He was still your best friend from High School, the only difference was that you now knew you had romantic feelings for him too and not only platonic feelings.
That was weird, to look at someone with the same eyes you had when you only thought of them as a friend, to now looking at him and resisting the urge to just kiss him, or cuddle up and never leave his side.
It didn’t help he was a naturally touchy person and always tested your self control without even knowing.
You sighed to yourself and set down the makeup brush once you were done, fluffy your hair a bit before quickly changing into the clothes you pick out.
After changing Felix texted you saying he was on his way, which made you panic and quickly rush to put your shoes on, hoping you would get there before him.
Luckily for you, you did in fact get there before him and waited patiently in front of the restaurant for him.
When he arrived he gave you that simple, yet adorable, smile and friendly wave.
“Ready?” He asked, gesturing for you to go on ahead and enter the restaurant. It wasn’t too late, still early for dinner so the place wasn’t packed but still busy.
“Table for two?” A waitress asked, picking up two menus. “Yes please.” Felix answered, knowing I didn’t like talking that much.
“Do you guys might know what you want to drink?” The waitress asked once she directed us to a table.
We sat down and picked up the menus, despite knowing it by heart already. “Just a water.. please.” I said, very softly as I had a fear of talking to new people. I would like to blame it on me being an introvert.
“A coke, thank you.” Felix grinned, setting the menu back down as the waitress scribbled on her notepad. “Alright!” She chirped and walked away.
“So..” Felix began, laying his hands out in front of me while interlocking his fingers together. “Are you still going to not talk to me about what’s bothering you?”
I rolled my eyes and huffed, how did I know he was going to ask that? “I already told you, it’s nothing.” I replied curtly, propping my head with my hand on the table.
“If it’s nothing then tell me what’s bothering you.” He continued to press on.
I sat, staring at him as a thought came to mind. I could tell him, tell him a boy was taking over my heart and constantly winning new parts of it everyday.
Or I could lie, say I’ve just been bothered with work…
“Just stressed out from work, they asked me to help out the kid classes since they are short staffed.” I lied smoothly, looking down at the empty table.
I could tell he didn’t want to accept that answer, as his nose scrunched in thought and eyebrows furrowed.
But before he could ask anything the waitress came back with our drinks, setting them in front of us. “Have you guys decided on any appetizers? Or just want to order your meals now?” She asked, still in a cheerful tone with her pen and notepad ready in hand.
“Uhm, I’d like a Pasta al Limone… please.” I asked, hoping I wasn’t butchering the name of the dish and handed the menu over to her waiting hand.
“Perfect! Any sides?” She asked while jotting down my order. “No thank you.” I answer before looking over at Felix, waiting for him to order.
“Can I have the..” the waitress wrote down what he wanted and left after collecting his menu too.
“Ok, but seriously, tell me what’s wrong. Never in the history of our friendship have you kept something from me.” He said once the waitress was gone.
“Can’t you just drop it? We came here to eat dinner, not to talk about what’s bothering me.”
“So there is something bothering you!”
He grinned, crossing his arms in satisfaction. “No shit.” I deadpanned, leaning back in my chair.
That only made him chuckle and also lean back in his chair. “Is this something that you might think will ruin our relationship?” He asked calmly, making my eyes go wide.
I gulped, not only because he was right but because he called our friendship a relationship; Which he wasn’t wrong about, our friendship is a platonic relationship but it still made me blush slightly.
Whenever you heard the word relationship you thought of couples, but me and him are only friends.
“Come on, it can’t be that bad.” He added on, leaning against the table to be closer to me. “If you’re embarrassed about whatever it is we can go to my place, or yours, and talk about it after dinner.”
I sighed lightly, looking off to the side. I knew if I looked at him I would immediately agree so I needed to look off and think.
He is very understanding, and I bet that he wouldn’t be the type to be uncomfortable when knowing someone likes him. We’ve known each other for years now, he wouldn’t throw away our friendship over something like this… right?
I was still very hesitant, but knowing I might be able to finally relax and not be tensed around him made me give the ok and nod my head.
“Fine, when we’re done eating let’s go to my place and talk. It’s closer anyways.” I mumble.
Despite my prude attitude he still was very happy and smiled with delight at his victory to finally make me talk.
We had our small talk, and went silent for a little bit when our food arrived. But it wasn’t long before we were paying for our half of the bill and leaving to go to my place.
This was something that wasn’t unusual for us, but knowing what I’ll be telling him once we make it to my apartment made me all jittery and nervous.
I took a big sigh once we made it to my apartment and I opened the door, letting him inside. He briskly took off his shoes and made himself comfortable on my couch, something I also do whenever visiting his place.
“So, spill.” He grinned, patting the seat next to him with a huge smile. I also took off my shoes and hesitantly took the seat next to him.
He turned his whole body towards me, eyes glued to my face as he waited patiently for me to start talking.
“I have a question first.” I say, raising a finger and pointing it at him. He quirked an eyebrow at me, telling me to continue. “What’s your type? We’ve never had this talk before, and I swear it’s relevant to what’s been bothering me.”
Hw sighed at my question, rolling over to rest his back against the back of the couch. “Hard to say, If we’re talking guys I would say Changbin Hyung-“ I rolled my eyes, playfully smacking his shoulder.
“We all know you and Changbin have a thing for each other, but seriously.” I ask again, this time being the one to turn on their side and face the other.
He looked up at the ceiling for a while, a long while, so long that I got scared.
“Someone who’s good at communication.”
~Arrow through the heart~
“They take responsibility for things they’ve done wrong.”
~Arrow #2 through the heart~
“I also want someone that isn’t the total opposite of me, I want someone I can connect with involving interests and hobbies”
~three strikes, Y/N’s out!~
I groaned quietly, slumping against the couch with a defeated sigh. I threw my head in my hands, shaking my head in shame. I was no where close to that, maybe the hobby thing since we both like dance but that’s all.
“But I also like someone that I can connect to and talk easily with.”
Oh..?
“I want them to be open about the things they dislike, to not be afraid to be blunt about something.”
Oh.
“I want them to be… well, you.”
Oh.
My eyes widened and cheeks flushed as I realized, he turned my almost confession to his own confession.
“Deadass?” I ask with thinking, only blushing more when he throws his head back to laugh. “Yes Y/n, I’m being a 100% true. I have a secret to tell you.” He winked playfully, turning his body to face me like he did before.
He slowly, and softly, take my hands in his hands. His thumbs rubbed over my knuckles a few times before he let out a sigh.
“There was more than one reason I talked to you years ago, it wasn’t just because you liked a song I liked. I really had just been thinking about ways to finally talk to the cute girl in my class year.” He admitted, a faint red hue dusting his cheeks.
“When I finally got to hear your voice, directed towards me as we talked I completely fell for you. Yeah, it hurt when you had went off to date other people; It hurt me more when you always came back crying. As your best friend, I never wanted to push the limits of our dynamic and make you feel uncomfortable.”
He paused, lifting one of my hands with a slight smirk. He kisses it softly, eyes never leaving mine as my breath hitched.
“The only reason I’m doing this now though, is because you Y/n; Are not good at hiding your feelings.” He laughs softly at my offended face.
“What’s that supposed to mean!?”
“Exactly what it means. Your not so subtle glances, your shameless eyes tracing over my back and backside whenever I did certain dance moves. It reminded me of when Minho had caught me staring at you. That’s when I had realized I needed to stop being so obvious unless I’m wanted to ruin our friendship.”
He shook his head in embarrassment at the memory. “The point I’m trying to make is, please tell me if you feel the same.”
His hands gently squeeze mine in anticipation, worried and nervous eyes boring into my own.
Of course I felt the same, and it was taking everything in me to not go on and on about just how much I loved him. For now, I settled on a simple kiss.
My hands reached up to cup his face, bringing it closer to my own in a slow manner. I wanted him to be able to pull back if he wasn’t ready or not comfortable.
But his hands immediately found their way to my hips, roughly pulling me closer as our noses touch.
“I’ve been waiting forever for this.” He grinned slightly, whispering against my lips before closing the gap.
I was surprised at his sudden movements and roughness, but I practically melted in his embrace. His lips moved gently against mine but felt so enticing I didn’t want to ever move away.
The kiss was slow, innocent and filled with the purest of love we have for each other.
I was shocked when it got needier, when his lips parted slightly while making my own do the same. His tongue glided softly over my bottom lip, asking, begging for more entrance.
I was hesitant at first, not knowing what it would feel like and if I would scare him off with my terrible and inexperience kissing.
Sure, I’ve dating other people but the reason we never made it far was because I was so hesitant to any and all physical contact.
With Felix though, it seemed more than natural, like I was made for this.
My hands left his face, soon curling up into his hair while somehow managing to bring him even closer.
He responded well to that, arms encircling my waist as our chests press up against each other.
“So, does this mean you’re mine?” He asked. Our mouths, and tongues, departed and breathes entwining with each soft pant.
I gulped a bit, cheeks flushed and lips swollen from his hungry lips and offered him a small nod. “Yes, as long as you’re also mine.” I smile softly, placing a soft and innocent peck on his plump lips.
“I would like nothing more.” He grinned, arms leaving my waist to go under my thighs and pick me up.
I yelped at the sudden movement as he stands up, legs circling his hips. “Mind if we go somewhere more… private?” He whispered, leaning into my neck while placing soft kisses.
I couldn’t help but breathily hum, nodding at an eager pace. “Of course not, I wouldn’t mind that.” I matched his grin, kissing his cheek to let him know I was more than ok with that.
He then carried me off to my room, closing and locking the door behind us; Starting our first night together as a couple.
