ngl I hope sinclair ends up rebelling against demian in some way since (if the book is anything to go by) one of the major aspects of his character arc is learning to not depend on others for comfort and guidance… limbus demian talks about sinclair in very predestined terms, and, while I’m not arguing he’s evil or anything, the expectation of a higher purpose + the fact that book demian is revered as this holy being that sinclair longs to be on the level of… idk it feels strangely kromer-esque to me? minus the familicide of course, I mean more so in terms of what they want from sinclair. demian definitely sees sinclair as more of a person, but there’s still this expectation of what he Could be… all while assuming that sinclair will just accept it once the time comes…

Identity review, Rosespanner Greg:

He has-

a pattern of almost killing himself and his coworkers with a faulty chainsaw

a crippling addiction to caffeine

no apartment, no patents, no self-destruct update on his arm, no screws, no beard (accidentally burned off with flamethrower arm)

a dislike of being alone

a crippling addiction to nicotine

a job that is very obviously sucking the life out of him to fuel a capitalist system that couldn’t give a shit if he dies, which he’s aware of completely but believes he may still escape it all if he makes enough money, further fueling that cruel system

a crippling addiction to the previously mentioned faulty chainsaw

Verdict:

This Image Was Always Painful But Now That We Have More Context On It, It's Straight Up Just Driving

this image was always painful but now that we have more context on it, it's straight up just driving me insane

the fact that dongbaek and yi sang are at the front, but dongbaek is hiding her hands.... the fact that gubo is off to the side and looks anxious almost.... the fact that dongrang stands at the back (fully at the back, to me it looks like he's standing behind even the guy he's shoulder-to-shoulder to) and is the only one not looking at the camera, his heart not truly in it...

The new Yi Sang id has me in a death grip and I finished both of these two paintings in 24 hours. Also learning that I love drawing hanbok

thinking about how each line in "in hell we live, lament" could link to each sinner and how yi sang would be "if you wanted me to speak (why'd you make my voice stutter?)" and how in the wings the protagonist suspects his wife has been giving him sleeping meds instead of painkillers and how faust notes that yi sang's not usually that quiet and that it's a recent development and. Yeah,

disjointed yi sang ramble (canto iv spoilers kind of):

okay I know chapter 4 isn't over yet BUT I can't stop thinking about how the big 000 ids for gregor and sinclair in their chapters (and tbh I think this can be applied to rime shank rodya as well) have them conforming to what people expect of/want from them while yi sang just. Becomes Dongbaek because he no longer has a place in her world and she has no place in his... all they have is the sweet-smelling sense of nostalgia...

it reminds me a lot of this passage from the wings:

excerpt from the wings: "We were like a lame couple, destined not to harmonize with each other's gait. I did not need to summon any logic to justify her behaviour or mine. There was no need for any defense. We would stumble on and on, truth and misunderstanding on their own separate ways. Was that not the usual way?
But I was not so sure if it was right for me to trudge back to my wife. Should I? Or else, where should I go?"

additionally, while I think the entire league embodies the wife character to some extent, the direct moments of conflict where she lashes out feel the most. dongbaek to me. also interesting to note that she's the only league member he's been able to properly Fight so far.

also, since this rant was inspired by his new id: "once all these flowers have been stained red only then will "I" bloom as well" to me reads as him trying to destroy his past in an effort to regain his sense of self. hm.

also also I find the fragrance aspect of the bloom ego so interesting when you consider that the protag in the wings sniffs his wife's perfume to remember her....

i feel like gregors roach traits could be read as allegories for PTSD/trauma. obviously the way he got them was a very traumatic experience, but i wanna focus on the war shit and the other genetically modified veterans we see. Like how he grows more buggy when he gets really stressed, and the more traumatized he gets the less physically human he becomes (because trauma dehumanizes you!!). and when he survives the war and tries to live a normalish life, the one thing that keeps it from happening is his cockroach arm. It won’t go away, even if he tries to cut it off, and it lashes out indiscriminately much to his scorn and resentment. like that scene in the subway where it attacks that woman seemed to be followed by mentions of the war and thoughts of it on greg’s part. I also think that the way gregor and all the other insectoid smoke war vets who turned to enkephalin (can’t say i blame them:( ) couldn’t get their lives back and were used and thrown away is like obvs a statement on how the govt/war machine/military industrial complex treats (disabled, but that’s another text post for another time) veterans. not to mention the fact that gregor explained they were operated on without their consent!! gregor and co are seen as disposable, disgusting insects who are less than human. i also think there’s something to be said about the fact that he’s a cockroach specifically. yes, they’re viewed as gross, disgusting pests but they’re also survivors. no matter how disgusting people think they are they don’t die in water and they can literally survive decapitation. also like the way trauma makes you feel so disgusting and tainted and like how your own mind and body don’t belong to you. he can’t look at him own arm/body without remembering that his own mother decided to surgically experiment on him… he consistently talks down on himself for being a roach human hybrid or whatever. he makes me so sad. the way other people treat him like he’s gross too like omfg it makes me sooo mad. he has endured so much dehumanization on so many different fronts :( i hope he has a good support system. anyways i like gregor hes a dilf cockroach milking

Oh. Oh god. And Hong Lu is very often compared to Yang (who heals SP).

Faust talks about “suddenly losing support, ego will collapse” or something like that. The 2 fish doesn’t like being seperate

Your honor they are each other’s mental support and the Jia might try to split them up for their own gain- *screams*

Fan designs for Limbus Lin Daiyu and Jia Baoyu except it's following my personal extremely deranged and yet surprisingly plausible theory that Hong Lu is the result of Daiyu's body being used to hold Baoyu's consciousness via his eye. He's Both of Them. Two in One.

Outis projected so hard in this Canto. Everyone thought she and Gregor were the oldest but no, it’s Don Sancho Quixote Second Kindred. The youngsters these days have no effect on her.

Imagine the conversation going something like this once Don snaps at the Sinners

“Anyone would be uncomfortable with such strong light right in their face. I’ve been out in sunlight plenty of times with the lot of you. No garlic doesn’t matter. We all know that coffin is far from safe put it away. The Christ imagery is one way for the religious to comfort themselves. And for the love of the Outskirts- PUT AWAY THE WATER!”

Oh boy, I sure can't wait for Intervallo 7.5, where the gang goes on yet another wacky roadtrip while the gang goes to Hong Lu's home district and learn about his extremely complex family dynamic and the many many references to the original novel, it's multiple remakes, and/or the series adaptation.

The next Walpurgis is most likely the Safety Team with Netzach as the next Announcer; and the next LobCorp IDs might connect to Abnormalities of denial, blissful ignorance, or the constricting force of family (Queen of Hatred, Queen Bee, Void Dream).

Even if the Sinners adjust to the fact that one of their members is a Second Kindred Bloodfiend, everyone keeps eyeing Outis just in case she tries to kill Don mentally or physically. She's still salty about the "betrayal" of having a definite threat in their ranks and were possibly waiting to backstab them at any moment (...Did something happen with Eurylochus, Outis?).

And even if she's also adjusting to a modernish life without the fanatic belief in Fixers, Don Sancho Quixote the Second reads them the riot act on their multiple attempts to prove she's a "real vampire" and committing elder abuse: shining light in her eyes or putting her in direct sunlight, putting garlic in her food, Dead Butterfly's coffin and Hundred Sins cross mace in her face cause Christian symbol or possible vamp bed, chasing her with a water bottle or spray bottle, so much water, so much water...

How it feels to read Canto 7 part 3 story

How It Feels To Read Canto 7 Part 3 Story

Coming back to this post cause I have a new theory

Servant of Wrath is connected to the K Corp singularity the Tearful Thing too.

In Servant’s breaching form, we see it has many eyes, all red and crying from anger and rage. We didn’t get a clear look, but it’s safe to assume Tearful is in great suffering and pain too.

Their tears/liquid produced are both green.

Now, onto their stories. In the Servant’s lore, it’s one of the magical girls, who befriended a Hermit from another world. Tearful was found by Stephanette. To singularities, we are the aliens, thus, another world.

In one of the Servant’s key page, we see her reading a book with the Hermit. Stephanette used to read the Tearful Thing’s heartfelt stories so it would cry.

Keypage name: Companion

They’re both betrayed by the ones they trust, even if we don’t know what Tearful Thing is thinking, we can assume it also felt a great betrayal.

In LOR, Servant of Wrath is located on Floor of Natural Sciences, and Tearful Thing is a biological being.

Aside from all the similarities, we can also assume the Magical Girls are also tied to other singularities, we just don’t know which ones.

But hey, that’s just a theory!

Can someone infodump about what the lobotomy corp abno’s signify

I wanna know and don’t care about which you you rant about

Incorrect quotes I found on the Generator site thing

Gebura: What makes a bigger memory than a passionate kiss?

Gebura: A stab wound.

Netzach: Small creatures are much more vicious because they have a smaller body to bottle up all their emotions.

Angela: Intriguing. Give me some examples.

Malkuth: Wasps?

Tiphereth: Terriers?

Netzach : Tiphereth

Chesed, pouring himself more coffee: You can’t wake up if you never got to sleep

Netzach: Poison is a magic transmutation potion that turns people into corpses.

Malkuth: This knife is actually a magic wand.

Roland: Meet me in the HamHamPangPang’s parking lot for a wizard duel.

Yesod: *cocks gun* Magic missile.

Angela: What the fuck is wrong with you people.

Dante: Needless to say. Uh oh spaghettios

Chesed, holding a kettle: Coffee or tea?

Philosophy floor assistant: Tea

Chesed: Wrong. It's coffee.

Okay, might as well hop onto this! Mostly my personal theories but eh

Express Train to hell represents, or at least has some ties with the Warp Train. W Corp’s actual singularity is restoring anything to its previous state, along with a former Wing’s singularity, access to another plane. This loosely ties in with its SP restore in a way and very much connected to the Abno’s portal hopping, mayhem causing tendencies.

Flesh Idol is very obviously, N Corp. The act of worshiping the flesh is N Corp’s thing. If you read its log, you’ll realize it’s very similar to the dungeon events during Canto 4 in Limbus Company.

Dimensional Refraction Variant might be hinting at “refracting”, the act of using Mirror technology onto a person. I still don’t know what the purpose of this is, but the Ring syndicate really likes it.

My own personal headcanon is the “virtue” that each Sephira has.

Malkuth: Will to stand up straight

Gebura: Courage to protect

Chesed: Those who are faithful and trustworthy

Binah: Face the fear

Hokma: Embrace the past

Gregor was a G Corp soldier, that means crimes committed. There’s also his mother, Hermann, who definitely messed him up. I don’t understand the Limbus Sinners too well, but I believe Gregor must gather all these “virtues” to face up against Hermann

On the topic of Limbus Sinners, do you ever find it weird too that Gregor's claw hand in his Base EGO has Malkuth, Gebura, Chesed, Binah and Hokma's symbols on it? Was there ever a connection between him and the Librarians aside from having similar Jewish origins? Or was there ever an explanation why Yesod, Hod, Netzach, Tiphereth and Kether's symbols weren't?

I refuse to believe that PM just stuck on only those specific symbols for aesthetics on Gregor's arm considering how much attention is paid to the details in their world. There has to be a reason but I'm pulling out my hair asking what it all means. Please send help. Or if you can't, send headcanons instead please. I just need a bone to gnaw on in this mystery.

Dear Anonymous,

Well, that's just one of the many mysteries with PM's storytelling, eh? The way they leave us pulling out our teeth and hair, hehe...

Now, I can't claim to be a Limbus expert; I don't seek out every inkling of lore as I did with LC and LoR, although based on my experience with PM's previous works, if we are to apply Occam's razor, then the reason behind the emblems being there is...reused art assets. Yup, believe it or not, I think that this could be one of the main reasons they're there, but at the same time, you have a point, Anon; it would be quite odd if they left reused assets on such an important sprite...

In which case, perhaps it's a call-back? A reference of sorts? I cannot find a link between these particular Sephirahs; Binah and Hokma, I can link them to the Smoke War, which formed an important part of Gregor's life. But Gebura, Malkuth, and Chesed...? What would they have to do with anything? It's a bit convoluted, I must admit, so I cannot say that I have an answer, but either it is something that will be so brilliant when PM eventually reveals what it is, ooooooooooooor...it'll just be another plot hole that PM will leave for us to fill one day, hehehe.

Until next time, Anon, sorry for not being able to give a more detailed answer! Take care, be well, and see ya'!

They have plenty of strange followers, what’s one more? If they’re not complicit, then a little indoctrination will do the trick.

We don’t exactly know Nothing There’s intention for blending in. The abno stories are kinda vague. But if it wishes to find it place in the world, then an accepting person like the Lamb will do

Guys guys. To all you Cult of the Lamb fans who are also Project Moon fans. I have a thought experiment:

Nothing There in the lands of the old faith

Maybe it infiltrates the Lamb's cult in the guise of another creature? Maybe it buys out all of Helob's stock? Who knows? I want your ideas!
