Curate, connect, and discover
Phew! I thought I was going crazy or something.
Brief and semi-serious post: If you’re an INTJ, there’s a good chance your Fi is going to develop more the older you get. If you have developed Fi, you might come across as more “sensitive” than the INTJ stereotype. You might even mistype as INFP or ISFP at times. This is common. You are still an INTJ.
My top functions, when tested, come out as Te, Ni, and Fi. Sometimes Ni and Fi are tied. It took reaching my late 20s for me to start evaluating what the “truth” was and what was important on a personal level, and as a consequence I became a bit moralistic and emotional. It doesn’t make me any less of an INTJ.
Not every INTJ is a ball of sarcasm or stoicism 24/7. If your Fi is developed, you’re probably a bit softer than an INTJ is “supposed” to be. There’s nothing wrong with you. You haven’t been mistyped as INTJ. Go paint or write or play music or do something to let that developed Fi flourish. It’s your friend.
