Man, I never thought I’d have anything good to say about Twitter, but their Undyne art game is simply unmatched here on tumblr, unless I’m just not following the right blogs, which may be the case.
I should really draw more (any) Undyne... (and Alphys)
Me: (gets in bed at a very reasonable 9:30 pm) I really gotta get more sleep tonight so I have energy to work on creative things tomorrow.
My brain: Did you mean "lie awake and rapidly generate more art and story ideas?"
Me: No--
My brain: BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Agh... I hit burnout right after our buddy Sans Underfell cinched his Fellsweep and so I haven’t done his victory art yet -- if I don’t get it done this week I’m gonna CRY (not really but I’m frustrated at how exhausted I’ve been for the past week-ish and at how I’ve been unable to draw because of it)
That being said. I will always be a Sans Classic girl first and foremost.
YEAHHHHH! #FELLSWEEP BAYBEEEE! Congratulations to our favorite gold-toothed stinky bastard man!!!!!!
asldjf;lkjasdf;ljl;ajsdf when flipping through layers to find a piece you need to touch up ends up unexpectedly revealing how you can change the angle on the part of ur drawing that you were frustrated and unhappy with, to something that you like. a lot more.
what the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck anyway edited version coming soon [KEYSMASH]
I am THIS close to making my big guy Horror's jacket and pants red and saying it's Asgore's old Santa outfit.
5 am thoughts: It's fun seeing monsters written from the UTMV as really powerful and dangerous, pretty much always in the context of romance fics, but every time I do see it, I can't help but think about Asgore and Sans, and even Undyne at her most determined, getting merc'd by a child. About how not a single human soul was taken in the war between humans and monsters, while "countless monsters" were turned to dust.
What I'm saying is the first time a Bad Sans ran into an adult human who regularly hurts people for their own benefit and/or amusement (and there are...lots of them), they'd get their shit wrecked. Nightmare and Error aren't actually monsters, but as long as they're operating within the UTMV, I'm applying UT's mythos and themes to them. Outside of natural disasters, humans are the most powerful destructive force in the (multi-)universe and everything hinges on whether we choose kindness or cruelty.
Horror could be dusted by a Karen and that's just the sad facts of the metaphysics Toby Fox laid out for us.
If anything, the scary skeleton bfs need their human lovers to protect them in a world where they're no longer going up against beings made primarily of love, hope, and compassion.
Nightmare would manspread on public transportation and only Joku herself could change my mind.
Concepts I would like to explore from Killer's original story:
The Metanarrative of the Player's choices and desires (i.e., our choices and desires, independent of “Chara”) shaping the universe that Killer inhabits, most directly on Killer himself, especially as the choices and desire of the Player are so core to the narrative of Undertale itself
Killer turning against Nightmare and working to try and “fix everything” while carrying the weight of the lives he’s taken, symbolized in him keeping the name “Killer”
Killer/Sans resisting the Player’s reprogramming, defeating Chara, and never joining Nightmare in the first place (which I imagine he’d do largely through the support of his brother & friends)
The clash of Sans's core character flaw/struggle being his resignation & nihilism, vs. the artificial Determination he gains, and how that could inform and shape the way I write Killer’s personality
