First doodled the sketch in class, then drew it on wc paper to make it a full blown illustration. After that it sat for two years and I finally picked it up again. I don't know why I got the idea to make it 3D paper art, but I'm glad I did. The piece is complicated enough that there's a lot of interesting overlap, and it let me make Rosewood's horns bigger.
The background was originally going to be a wall full of eyes, and I had the idea of also making those 3D so it would look like they're moving. But I was too lazy to do that lolll. I have a psychedelic neon background thingy instead that I'll have to print sometime.

Esther Scroll, Ancona, early 18th century
Handwritten text, unfinished decorated cut-away parchment Parchment, 8 membranes, 39 text columns, 23x458 cm Carved wooden roller Gift of Mrs. Erna Ascoli in memory of her husband U. Nahon Museum of Italian Jewish Art ON 0495
This scroll is a beautiful example of the particular style of decoration that flourished in the Italian towns of Ancona and Lugo in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Artists in these towns specialized in a laborious technique whereby the parchment was cut away to create an intricately patterned frame for the text that reminds us of the beautiful lace used in fashions of that period. This elaborate technique was employed to adorn megillot, ketubbot and a variety of Judaica objects. Only a few such Italian cut-out parchment scrolls remain today.

This cool ass weirdcore art piece i made
We got a new drawing! Surprisingly Anti took longer than Dark... Probably because I suck at drawing hands. 🫤
I entirely forgot to share this... I'm very confused how I all of a sudden grew the ability to draw so well and how I figured out how to draw bodies but I did and I'm loving it!
