Like the flock in cannon they named them selves

grian called himself pesky because that’s what the scientists called him do to him being the most difficult to control

Pearl was fade or shadow or something if anyone has a suggestion for it please share anyway it didn’t last long before she decided to change it to pearl but the reason for her original name was because when ever the scientists would talk about her power they would mention how she would blend into the background

Jimmy was canary because they didn’t have anything to really say about his personality and power because he was like 5 or something he didn’t have fleshed out a personality yet and even though he was the youngest which did cause him to be difficult he wasn’t as difficult as grian and he also didn’t have powers yet so the others called him by the bird the scientist said when they talked about his wings

martyn was similar there wasn’t anything that stood out other then what bird he was so his family called him wood because he has the wings of a wood pecker

after they escaped they chose new names that would allow them to blend in for and help keep the scientists from finding them

pearls the only one that kept her name it was passable as a name a normal girl would have at birth the reason she’s named pearl was because one of her only happy memories that didn’t involve her siblings in the lab was when she asked this janitor lady about some jewelry she was wearing and the lady told her about where she got it she probably got it as a gift and it wasn’t even a real pearl but that janitor gave her proof that there was a world outside the lab filled with gift giving people like the janitor

the only positive memory pearl has from when she was young that didn’t involve her family was of a janitor that gave her information about the outside world because of the janitor she knew that there was a world beyond the cruel lab one with good people

The janitor gave pearl hope of a better future unfortunately because of what the lady did the scientist had her killed

even if the memory is a bitter sweet one looking back she knew it was important that she held onto that information so to make sure she didn’t forget she named herself after the piece of jewelry the janitor had on which had a pearl on it

she is still to this day grateful for what the janitor did and because of her she decided if they ever got to a point where it was an option for them to get jobs she would want to have a job as a cleaning lady

In maximum ride au pearl has the ability to blend into an the environment not disappear but to be glanced over if the person in the room that shes hiding from isn’t looking for intruders or there if they are in a room with a lot of other people she also has to be standing perfectly still for like a minute before it kicks in and has to remain still to not have the power stop working

as a minor power her eyes are able to reflect more light than a normal person so they work like the moon when at night when the light from the sun reflects of the moon causing it to shine

her eyes don’t allow her to see in the dark but others can see the glow so they can tell where she is which is a blessing and a curse

grian Jimmy Martyn and pearl are the flock they are escaped avian lab experiments the only blood siblings are grian and pearl

Silly comic idea: 

Pearl’s main base, the giant alien mushroom. Its root from the ground under spreads around the land and grows tiny mushrooms around. Pearl sees the tiny mushrooms and has the idea to make soup from it. Infinite soup for the whole season lol.

I just. I need ranchers duo and Pearl to team up so badly. Jimmy and Tango are poor and homeless, Pearl is super lonely and unlucky. They all have lost everything they have. They all bring death in their own ways. They all deserve a happy ending.

The original was obnoxiously long so I’m splitting it up into several posts I think for ease... had some ideas about design and started learning about knot tying... more to come soon :]

Hey remember when we talked about Pearl coming across and befriending spider Gem since Pearl’s very friendly and probably wouldn’t mind her new friend being a spider.

Well what if DL!Pearl, sad and alone after being left alone by her soulmate and companion, went caving a bit with Tilly to make sure she has enough supplies and gear so that she doesn’t need allies or a soulmate. And what if she found an abandoned mineshaft, lit well and even moderately furnished. And what if she stumbled upon a lonely spider, who’s been rejected and driven away from her former friends since no one likes spiders. And the two might’ve even found solace and friendship in each other, outcasts looking for allies. And what if they were both happy and besties and weren’t sad.

Anyways let Spider Gem and Dl!Pearl be besties and have a friendship and heal from their loneliness together.

As a grey aroace, I have often felt deep feelings of loneliness as I watch everyone around me pair up with each other, leaving me alone. That's why for Pride Month, I'm teaming up with Pearlescentmoon from Double Life SMP

as much as i absolutely love the dynamic of scar and grian in double life can we   p l e a s e    talk about how pearl was left all alone like oh em gee the angst, the drama, my girl all alone with her dog after her soulmate and her friend decided to leave her ;-; 

Feel so bad for Pearl like Scott you go build a ravine basement right now so she can live there. She doesn’t have to be your soulmate choose Cleo that’s cool but don’t leave her alone!!

I think pearl should couch surf. I want her to crash at different people's bases. I want her to be a heartbroken freeloader. She deserves to raid everyone's pantry.

I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since the first episode of Empires!! I made this as a celebration and I had such a blast with it :DDD Be sure to zoom to spot all the details, and lemme know if you want me to post some closeup shots!

Joel gives the winners a ride in his car, and they drive around to different seasons of the life series. It's basically an interdimensional travelling car. And then they crash into the side of Joel's base in hermitcraft because someone let martyn drive.

I think there are so many amazing bases you could draw in season 9 and this current season.

Grian's, Gem's, False's and Pearl's season 9 bases were iconic imo, and there's also the Decked Out castle. You could also go for the Post Office this season or Bdubs' frankly Ghibli style home, Keralis' vacation spot, or Joel's Japanese steampunk city.

These are such good ideas!! I'm gonna try and do one per season, maybe from season five onwards, so I have five artworks. I would love to do the decked out castle, I'll have to think over some of the other seasons. Although mumbo's base in season 7 was so so good.

I also did wonder if maybe I did five artworks of hermitcraft or maybe six/seven artworks of the life series. One representing each winner. Example:

- Grian/season 1: monopoly Mountain castle, sun motifs

-Scott/season 2: the cottage he and his allies based in, star motifs

-Pearl/season 3: her tower, moon motifs

-Martyn/season 4: The mean gills base (I cannot remember the name pls don't hate me), a mars motif? It'll be hard to include the planet in this one. But I can work it out.

-Scar/season 5: trader scars with the sun flower field, earth mofti

-Joel/season 6: Car

They won't be portraits but think of landscaping paintings. Like a mix of Claude Monet mixed with Van Gogh. It would be the same style for the hermitcraft artworks aswell.
