Curate, connect, and discover
wish I could hug my younger self and tell them that they are not ugly for their ethnic traits. I'd look them in their heterochromatic eyes and trace my fingers over their different mandible and different maxilla and different zygomatic bones and differently shaped nose, and I would coo over their 'misshapen' ears, and I would tell them that I've learned to love where my face came from. I wish I could tell them that the way their body looked wasn't their fault, that they weren't disgusting for being thin with hyperflexible joints and ballet-read-feet and a unibrow. They will learn to love these traits, they will learn to love where their family came from.
