I don't agree with you. Feminism doesn't mean men hate in anyway. Feminism stands for equality in rights and opportunities of both sexes. Doing what men have done since forever will result in the same cycle repeating some day in the future. The point is to get rid of this notion of power being held by one of the sexes or one being superior than the other.
Forcing men into household chores and women into the outside world is doing what men did long ago, just roles reversed. The point is to let women who want to pursue a career, do it. And also, letting women who want to spend time on their families, do it without making them feel bad about not being the cool business woman she doesn't even want to be.(That too if her partner is okay being the sole provider). This should also be equally acceptable if the roles are reversed.
Ultimately, feminism seeks to create an inclusive society where everyone can live according to their own preferences, irrespective of traditional gender stereotypes, a society where choices are respected and supported without judgment, where partners support each other equally.
The best duo >"<
Being someone else's comfort person is so underrated. Like gurl do you know the joy of knowing that your mere existence makes someone love their life a little more. They wait the whole day so they can call you and rant about everything that happened. Knowing that you just being right there is sufficient for them. The joy of being someone else's happiness<3
So basically everyone either has a similar, or completely different view on 'ships'. Don't know what a ship is? A ship between two characters (or real people, I'll get to that in a minute.) means the person shipping them either A.) Adores the friendship the duo have, or B.) Want them together as a couple.
Ships are okay to have, but, fetishising a real friendship is not okay. Obsessing over every small interaction they have isn't okay. I will admit, I get excited when some of my ships make a flirty or adorable statement, but I don't take it to extremes. Mind you, I have almost no irl ships other than adoring someone's friendship, 90% of my ships are fictional, like Destiel, Michifer (I'll get to that in a moment) and you get the point. I respect your ships, but for the love of God, DON'T FETISHISE THEM.
Now, for ships like Michifer and anything with incest. For those of you who don't know what Michifer is, it's a ship between Supernatural's Lucifer and Michael. The only ship I ship that has "incest" in it. I say that in quotations because I don't see the duo as brothers. I'll say it again, I respect your ships, just don't fetishise them.
Now, the big issue. I don't care if you don't like a particular ship another does, don't bash them for it. That's just childish and stupid play.
Thank you for your time, plz reblog.

so right away, for context, i'm thinking about this with the fact that "she" "you" "reader" whatever tf would be the first girl in the glade, like... before teresaπππ½.
and also, she's blackπ€π€.
and also, this may or may not be purely self-indulgent, idk, I just write what's been shown to me by the gods, soπ€·π½ββοΈ.
and also, there's like, zero formatting to this (but will get posted on the masterlist)...

awesome, 'kay, cool, let's go...
there is something so soft about the thought of newt with a black girl. like, I don't know, something about it is just so authentic, like, I can see it so clearly in my mind, and I don't have the time right now to make a full out vision board about it, but I will in the future, trustππ€π½.
my very first thought/vision, though, being like...
imagine you're taking the time out of your day to make him a little flower crown because like, hello, you're in a glade, and there's dandelions and little daisies everywhere, so of course you're making a flower crown. but then the scene pans up, and we see reader's hair, which in my vision, would definitely be something really thick and really coily - so i'm thinking maybe like 3b-4c.
and then we see newt taking the time out of his day to braid/plait it down, weaving more little flowers or scarves or yarn or whatevernot into it, making light conversation with you and adding in short but sweet little praises you almost don't catch, but you do, because he only speaks to you like thisπ₯Ή. and with the braiding, whether it be because you've taught him to do this or it's a skill he's developed on his own over time, both are very cute and intimate/soft possibilities to imagine, but yeah.
and I also think he would be so fond of tracing over your skin, like, every scar, every birthmark, just whatever he can get his hands on, he's touching/caressing lightly, pressing kisses down, admiring from a distance ...
speaking of admiring from a distance!!...
I definitely think he would just stare at you all of the time. yes, because he's the second-in-command, so he kind of has to have a watchful eye over everyone, and also, yes, because he is in love with you. but a third reason being that he genuinely just loves admiring the way your skin glows under the sun.
whether you be coated in water or sweat or whatever, he's just in a captured state of awe at the golden cast that you have, and he also loves that tan you get - he fucking adores the increase in melanin that you adhere. he loves your skin, he loves your complexion, he- *gasp*
he loves your eyes!!...
he loves how deep of a shade of brown that they are because they're not like his or thomas', where they're light ass caramel, whiskey, fucking whatever's going on there. your eyes are deep, like sweet chocolate, like the soil he works in, like damp wood under fresh rain - their own galaxy of black and golden flecks that he'd prefer to get lost in all day and all night for the rest of his life if he could.
and he loves your lips; he is addicted to kissing you. he's addicted to the softness, the plush/plumpness, how your kisses may just completely envelop him, wrap him up whole. your lips, your SMILE, AAAAAH!! he cannot get enough of it, he is constantly doing whatever he can to see that grin, to hear that cackle - he is constantly lifting you up into the air by surprise, he's tickling you and touching you whenever he can at random, he's telling fucking lame ass corny jokes, he's hitting you with pet names that are just so...
they're almost overcompensating, but at the same time, they sound so nice coming out of his mouth (just in general, of course, but with that accent of his...π»). shit like "darling" and "sweetheart" and "my love" and it's all only reserved for you (I mean yeah, you are the only girl, but still, even if you weren't, I guarantee you'd only be hearing these petnames from him, so whatever).
and I know this isn't really a thing that's touched on or prevalent in the maze runner universe, like,,, i've never really seen any signs of racism or anything, but just to be fucking clear...
bro is throwing a fit, a goddamn tantrum if and/or when anyone tries to villainize or demonize you simply just because you're black. and of course , I imagine he's like that regardless because, hello, jeff and alby are close to him as well, but again, he'll be damned if there's ANY form of sly comments or discriminatory behavior going on in this fucking glade (like c'mon, that's fr the last thing needed given the circumstances). ESPECIALLY towards you, and if anything, ENCOURAGES you find comfort and community with those who are black as well if that's what's wanted.
I guess think of it as like that thing in in the hunger games, books where suzanne collins pretty much only portrays all of her black characters as very soft, very caring/loving, they're not demonized or made out to be violent/scary/tough or given the "strong soldier with no feelings only action who somehow takes care of everyoneβ’" trope just because they're black and because of how history is. that's kind of how I would view it here as well, like, I feel like the same principles would apply.
and actually, on this topic a little bit more - deviating from the "soft sweet newt with a black gf" thing I was doing lol - I actually kind of do have this headcannon where, because of the fact that the memories of who was put into any type of maze were literally being wiped, I feel like even if these boys and girls were being raised a *coughs* certain type of wayπ... that shit is getting erased along with the rest of whatever the fuck was in or being put into their heads before.
not to mention, they get sent into these mazes with so many different people from all over the world, so I imagine that "cultural difference" doesn't even become a thing. it's really only ever acknowledged in the way of like, "yeah, that guy has an accent lol... anywaysπ!" like, nobody gives two shits, nor has time to act on such even if they did.
ANYWAYS, back to the regularly scheduled programπβπ½...
I really do think... *smiles while thinking cuz i'm geeked asf writing this lmao* ... I really do think that newt would bring a sense of intimacy and cherishment to - even just a friendship, tbh! - but also, of course, a relationship. maybe something of which you never would have thought possible given everything y'all are up against.
and I also think that you would bring him such an overlining sense of peace that he just can't really find anywhere else. or maybe he can, but it's not like the peace of being with you. it isn't the same, hence why (controversial take hereβπ½πβπ½) he may not cherish them as much. not to say he doesn't at all, but there's definitely a difference in his demeanor and overall being when you're not around, or when he doesn't hear you, or have you in his line of sight, versus the opposite.
and I do think it is something that would last through everything. it would last through the maze. it would last through the w.c.k.d. compound. it would last through the scorch. it would last through minho's kidnapping, it would last through right arm, it would last through the last city, and it would last up to his inevitable death.
it would remain in the memories of those small touches and passionate kisses. the words he'd spoken to you full of love and adoration for every trait you had and for you as a person. in every smile and laugh. in every clear sunny sky. in every drop of water. in every dandelion and daisy, in every braid or loc you did, in every gust of wind,,,
and even then, even through the last stages of the flare infection, all that would be plaguing his mind would be you, and thomas, and all his other friends, and how sure he was on the fact that you were gonna make it to the safe haven. and that even if he wasn't there with you, you would be okay. and because, regardless of his death, his love for you was always gonna linger. it would last beyond.
he's there, and he loves you, and nobody can take that from you.
. . .
corny, yes, I know, but do you want the truth or not
anywaysπ!
yeah, I don't know what came over me, I just had to get that out of my system before I exploded, so uhh, do with what you will lol.
byee<3!!
π-
wait, should I make this a series??
idk, anyways, here's the vision board I said I didn't have time to make, but fuck it, we ball teeheeπ!
/α -Λ-γ~...β‘
I really want to watch Mob Psycho (heard great stuff about it from a friend), Yuri on Ice (canβt be a real bl fan without watching this) and Death Parade (seems interesting), but I am aware that I will need lots of time to be able to enjoy them. The next few weeks will be hectic for me because the semester is almost ending. And despite having no classes for the next three days, I have a shit ton of asynchronous assignments. Iβm procrastinating right now, but even I must start working by later. It pains me, but I have to save these shows for Christmas break.
Just a short rant...
No but can we talk about how isolating it is to break generational curses and hold people accountable even if itβs your own family? Even if itβs your own parent? Yeah.
Honestly, one of the reasons I download tumblr is for the fan fics and fan arts because to be honest wattpad and twitter is like the go to apps to go, but I'm stuck using this cuz ain't wanting to use either of them because they fr trash. And I don't want to pressure anyone, but I'm kinda desperate for fics here but yeah I'll just wait
It gets sick sometimes to believe we are worthy of smiles. But you gotta "shhh" your mind, for it's such a trickster. Let it hurt a little, let yourself caress the depth of that wound, let yourself measure it with immense compassion, let yourself be happy!

If you felt a sudden lump throbbing in your chest when your narcissistic mother yelled your name; if your tears were so vivid but they chose to ignore it; if you sat naked in front of a mirror, with legs parted and felt disgusted by your own moans; if your texts to them exceeded the limit; trust me I feel you! Please don't give up, the spring is coming!
Her SchrΓΆdinger's Cat, Sixth Insight
What if dysfunctionalities are the only sane way of living? What if abnormalities are the only norm? What if all social constructs are the most insane structures laid out to live an ideal life? What if objective reality never existed and it was a mere hallucination? What if they could hear the music Nietzsche was talking about?

I wish you a place kinder than your past where fairies dwell and place smiling flowers within the shimmering hair of yours.I wish you love as sweet as nectar which percolates down in every lane of your heart and the sunbeams ask for your little assistance in lightening up the souls of every earthling.

They were sitting together silently and watching their shudders dissolving into sighs. Their oblivious stares weaving a music and tears making promises to make it up to sunrise.
Will you save me? For the last time?

Hey, so I don't want to be that guy, but when are we going to acknowledge that Akechi was right?
No, I obviously don't mean about the things he was very clearly wrong about. I'm referring to the things he says in interviews about the Phantom Thieves. I hate how many people switch up after playing through his betrayal who previously agreed with his views, because nothing he said is wrong and nothing he did changes that fact. He speaks in the TV Station on the objective facts that he should know about, and with or without the context of his form of justice those facts stay true. It's a fallacy to claim that his form of justice being universally less approved of makes the Phantom Thieves better by comparison, or discredits anything he said. I don't think the Phantom Thieves are evil, or that they should necessarily be imprisoned, but I do think that they are not morally sound. They're kids. Prior to his betrayal I think he served his purpose well, but it's easy to disregard the validity of his words when you find out that he's a murderer. With the knowledge he SHOULD have had (and that many DID have), everything he says is true. And honestly? It still can be true for basically the entire plot of the game. Mishima's confidant tests the thieves in that way. They could have changed the hearts of anyone who's not a persona user, for any personal reason. It's a slippery slope.
I'll use these three options as an example for why he's right:
"They're justice itself" is just subjective and incorrect, because justice as a concept is individualized and given how each Phantom Thief has different reasons for being one it's ridiculous for even them to say. Their first target was before they even formed a group, and Ann was ready to kill Kamoshida. The others were not even going to step in, and they were going to respect her choice either way. All the members are so different, so this is an insane claim to make.
"They're necessary" is wrong because to say they are necessary is pretty disingenuous to all "justice" that has ever happened BEFORE they existed. I don't believe that the Thieves were a necessity per say, and personally I think their actions can only be judged on a case by case basis. Some Mementos targets for example have issues that stem beyond what they have done. Now they have their desires stolen but still have the issue that pushed them to immortality in the first place, plus a shitton of guilty baggage. The Thieves only help with the atonement, but not the push. How many of those people didn't just go right back to their past behaviors? How many of them got worse in other ways? Think about Futaba, she felt so guilty for something she thought she did, she formed a palace to condemn herself to die alone. To claim the Thieves are necessary to reform society implies that their method is the most effective, and I think that's a lot to claim for something they don't understand.
"They do more than the cops" I almost agree with. Legally the police in Japan in this game anyway (yes I'm aware it extends to reality in many ways, but I'm referring to just the game right now) are corrupt and flawed for the most part, but the thing I don't agree with is that this makes the Thieves a better alternative. They're not. For the same reason Yoshizawa says later, the Thieves can only do so much as vigilantes, and to imply that society should rely on these faceless nameless flawed people to fix society is not any better than what they have now. Especially with the method being unknown, potentially unsafe, and easily exploitable. I cannot be the only one who if the Phantom Thieves were real, would be extremely alarmed by the prospect of a group of vigilantes "changing hearts" right? It's so vague, and the pattern is dystopian. At least police methods are familiar
What I'm saying is that they're kids, and it's kind of insane that this game places Akechi as the narrative foil for the Thieves in their message and then makes it so easy to disregard because "he's an assassin so how could he know anything about justice". The Thieves don't either, and Ann was nearly a murderer. If the bar is "don't commit murder when you're infiltrating someone's mind" then it's far too low. I wouldn't trust a group of adults with this power to reform society, even less a group of teenage vigilantes. I'm 19, and I find this odd. And Strikers frames them as even more righteous, and it bugs me even more in that game. At least Royal has the third semester to give a bit more nuance to how big of a responsibility Ren was given, but that's also very frequently misinterpreted.
I love this game, and I love this fandom, and I have thoughts that get weird and ranty. I apologize, but I hope you all found this as interesting as I did.
