Rime Age - Blog Posts

Myst fans will be pleased to here that this week the long awaited Rime Age updated for the 2021 PC and Xbox remake of the game arrived. As you can see from these screenshots taken from the Xbox Series X version it look amazing. The ages first appeared in the first remake realMyst and acts as a extra bit of story to bridge the gap between Myst and its sequel Riven.

The new version hugely expands the location, adding in more back story for Sirrus and Achenar. There is also a brief mention of Gehn from Riven this time around. Not only has the Age been made larger, but a number of new puzzles have been added which vastly improves the age. The final puzzle at the end has been hugely improved and allows you to view all the ages in the game along with Riven. The only compliant I have is the clue for viewing the Riven age need improving.

I was playing realMyst Masterpiece editon on Nintendo Switch last night and it was interesting to compare the two versions of Rime.
