Buzz being the main villain really shocked me to the core-

everyone needs a clancy crew kinda friend in their life 

including me 

i’m re reading pick your poison rn and i’m remembering how everything from the last books are all tying together and it all just makes so much sense and I just- 

these books are so good, not just for kids, they’re actually good books and not enough people recognize this 

yes yes i’ve thought about this so often and i agree sm 

Ok so I’ve been thing more and more about Ruby Redfish movies. So basically throughout the series (six books + the survival guide but it wouldn’t get a movie) everything happens within one year. If there were to be six/seven movies, that wouldn’t be possible as filming + editing + production takes quite a long time so here is what I would do if I were able to help out with movies:

1: Every two books a year would go by. Actors a lot of the time have huge age gaps with their characters, i’ve seen some be 10-15 years older, and depending on their face shape & makeup they can look quite convincing.

So it would start with LIME and TYLB with Ruby being 13, then CYD and FTF with her being 14, and PYP and BAYD with her being fifteen.

If she was aged up every year she’d be 18 which is way to old for the story, but i recon 15 would work.

Who I’d cast

I’m not going to go into my full fancast list (I’ll save it for another post), however I think it would be really cool if all the children were unknown actors, as there are so many undiscovered actors out there who this would be an incredible breakthrough for. I would also cast well know actors as the adults

can someone please tell me if there's a backstory on how hitch got recruited into spectrum? i feel like there should be but i can’t think of any and its been a minute since i’ve read the books

I know it’s canon that ruby is under 5ft (tylb) but I’m sick of short protagonists in my head she is AT LEAST 5’4-5’5 because honestly that’s not tooooooo much to ask for

if Ruby Redfort wasn’t set in the 70s I could definitely count on Mouse and Red being she/they pronoun users

my personal Clancy Crew headcanon (if rr was modern) is that he fucking loves Google Earth. Like he will spend hours going to all these different places, especially ones in the ocean and just ‘explore’. he does all the quizzes and games too. Ruby thinks its weird and tries telling him it would be better irl but he obviously doesn’t listen :) 

don’t know where this came from but it feels right 

i feel like everyone at Spectrum would sorta band together to like...help care fro ruby. they’d all sorta help out hitch and mrs digby best they could. alos mrs digby would get EXTREMELY protective of ruby. like would not let the girl out of her sight, hitch actually had to step in at one point

very sad post but i lowkey want to know what would’ve happened if Brant and Sabina died after the pirate attacks. like Ruby and Hitch and Mrs Digby just thinking about it was so sad to read but what if……
