Once again tormented by visions of selkies...
I try to have projects to work on as a warm-up for comic stuff. Here we can see some of my favorite subjects to draw: Women, and rocks.
Wow, that would be amazing! Selkies are fabulous and I love anything with them in, especially since you’re writing it. Please do this, it would be fantastic! I’m a bit too excited but you’re such a talented writer and I know for sure that I’ll love it.

there's actually two in here! but the premise essentially is selkies, i just couldn't decide which version pleased me most. both are set in australia because Leopard Seal Selkies Are The Coolest, but one involves a lot more highly specific mythology, the other is more straightforward selkie time. the highly specific mythology one involves percy's dad a bit more, because he was not a selkie, he was ripped from obscure germanic folklore, about water shapeshifters who lure people to the water with their beautiful voice and are shapeshifters. they commonly take the forms of people, horses, and people with fish tails, but there's not really an upper limit there. percy had some shapeshifting abilities, but in order to use them he had to be Seal Mode, haha! i couldn't decide whether specific pr straightforward was better and i wrote a bit for both.
they both have the same basic premise of annabeth leaving california and moving in with her weird australian everyone-says-he's-my-uncle-but-i'm-not-convinced, chiron, and she works at a soda shop in town and tries to get her portfolio and life together in her spare time. percy comes once a week because the soda shop sells bright blue raspberry cola. there's love, there's a parallel with how gabe steals sally's seal skin and how percy willing gives annabeth his, and at some point annabeth is key in finding sally's seal skin and then sally gets to drown a guy. as a leopard seal. i admit it's pretty weird even for me, but isn't just a bit fun? to be weird?
