Afterswiftly sending a text to Chan, asking him to distract Changbin for a crucial hour, you, Felix, and Han sprang into action, busily adding the final decorations in the living room and kitchen, transforming the space into a festive haven for Changbin's surprise birthday party. The clock was ticking, and every minute counted as you worked together to create an unforgettable celebration.
After meticulously baking Changbin's cake, you elaborately decorated it with vibrant colors and ornate designs, making it a true masterpiece. You then carefully placed it on the dining room table, which was set with a beautiful tablecloth and adorned with festive candles. Next, you hung up a bright, shimmering streamer that read "Happy Birthday Binnie!!" in bold, cursive letters above the threshold of the kitchen and dining room, creating a joyful and celebratory atmosphere. The streamer fluttered gently in the air, its vibrant colors catching the light and adding to the excitement of the special day. As you stepped back to admire your handiwork, you couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and satisfaction, knowing that you had created a truly special and memorable birthday setting for Changbin.
After receiving a text from Chan saying that they are heading up to the apartment now, you, Felix and Han turned off all the light and quickly hid in your hiding spot. Before long you heard jingling of Changbin's keys in the keyhole.
When Changbin stepped into the apartment, the stillness hit him like a punch to the gut. He scanned the dimly lit room, his eyes straining to adjust to the darkness that seemed to swallow everything in its path. The silence was oppressive, a heavy blanket that suffocated the space, making him wonder why the apartment felt like a tomb.
Just as he took a few more steps into the apartment, he jumps slight when the lights suddenly come and a bunch of voices shout "Happy Birthday Binnie!,"
He turned his head to the side, his eyes widening in surprise as he took in the festive scene before him. Han and Felix, grinning from ear to ear, wore bright birthday hats adorned with colorful streamers and glittery decorations. His gaze then shifted to you, beaming up at him with a radiant smile, proudly holding a vibrant cake that screamed "Happy Birthday Binnie" in bold, sugary letters. The cake itself was a masterpiece, with swirling patterns of blue and red frosting and a cluster of candles lit up like tiny stars. The air was electric with excitement and anticipation, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still as he took it all in.
As the night progresses further into ChangbinThe sounds of cheering and chatter filled the air as Han and Felix high-fived each other, clearly thrilled with the success of their surprise. You handed Binnie a gift wrapped in shiny paper, a small card attached to the top with a bright pink ribbon. Binnie's eyes sparkled with curiosity as he took the gift, his fingers tracing the edges of the paper. Meanwhile, Felix began snapping photos with his phone, capturing the joy and excitement of the moment. As Binnie started to unwrap the gift, the room fell silent once more, everyone waiting with bated breath to see his reaction.
Binnie's eyes widened as he tore off the wrapping paper, revealing a sleek, black guitar. He gasped, his face lighting up with pure delight. Han and Felix grinned at each other, relieved their hard work had paid off. The camera shutter clicked away as Felix captured the perfect shot. Binnie's fingers trembled with excitement as he held the guitar, his eyes fixed on the intricate design etched onto its body.
A few hours later after everyone left, Changbin held you in his arms as you both sat on the couch. Changbin thought of how lucky he is to have you do this for him even though he didn't ask as he gazed down at your sleep form.

Going on a night stroll with Changbin isn't what you had on your bucket list to do at 3:00 in the morning, being dressed in only your boyfriend's hoodie and a pair of fuzzy pants. Glancing over to the man in question, looking rather pleased with himself, you see the crinkles in the corners of his eyes from him smiling. You started pouting a little when you noticed his smile was being concealed by his mask.
As you both continue to walk down the sidewalk towards your favorite convenience store, the one you go to with Han sometimes when it's movie night and Changbin isn't around. Stopping at a pedestrian crossing, you hear Changbin giggling to himself.
"What?" you questioned as you looked back at him. He came closer to you, leaning close to your ear so you could hear him. "You look adorable," he hummed, with his eyes shining with adoration.
You chuckled and your cheeks tinted to a rosy color at his reply. You grabbed his hand and turned back towards the pedestrian crossing when the light changed color, signaling that people could cross. As you crossed with Changbin, you noticed some of the children with their parents rambling about things they did. A small smile appeared on your lips as you noticed a little girl out with her dad, unnoticed by you of the man next to you smiling warmly at you.
Finally getting to the convenience store, Changbin held the door open as you walked through it before mumbling a quick "morning" to the store clerk who was working at the register. Going through all the different aisles and looking at some of the new things they added, you decided to get some sashimi and chicken for Changbin before getting yourself some tteokbokki and ramen. Placing your items on the counter, you watched the clerk's nimble hands glide over each barcode. The rhythmic beep of the scanner punctuated the air. Prices flashed on the digital display, a tally of your choices. Before Changbin paid for the items, the clerk made sure everything was bagged before handing it to Changbin.
Holding the door for you, Changbin let you exit first before following after you. Once he was next to you, he grabbed your hand with his free one. As you walked onto the sidewalk, you felt the bright morning light warm your skin. Changbin's hand was still wrapped around yours. He gave it a gentle squeeze as you began walking side by side. The sounds of the street filled the air: chirping birds, chattering pedestrians, and the occasional car driving by. Walking across the pedestrian crossing you and Changbin began y'all's journey back home.
