txt ☆ˎˊ˗ extremely rambly and disorganized thoughts ahead. apologies. maybe i should not be speaking on this since my favourite superhero medias are ones that are satirical of superheros ie the watchmen & the tick. particularly because i have problems w superheroes as a whole in that theyre either used to reinforce a national image or promote punitive & reactionary measures against crime my only exception is batman beyond <3 <3 <3 so fair warning this is coming from someone who has a lot of problems with superheroes. particularly marvel but i'm just of the opinion that a lot of marvel designs are just... not good... the emma frost rivals design is really bad ok. Sorry. they dont need three blonde women with white suits and blue accents. do u know how many times i confused dagger w invisiwoman. and now Shes here too. but aside from a gameplay perspective. none of her elements look Good to me. she doesnt read as high fashion. the bob looks dumb sorry and i am tired of the continued objectification of women in superhero media. like the thigh and breast jiggle physics for emma frost. or how 95% of the women have the same face and body. and they all look like they're in their 20s. but the men get to look old. btw if i'm to be a bigger hater outside of just rivals its that i have seen One emma frost design i actually like. i have very particular tastes about character design. and i'm aware i'm picky. but superhero designs leaning more into making sure they're read as superheroes as opposed to reading as The Character kind of pisses me off for some i think it really works. like spiderman. but others i wish theyd be a little more creative and not just try to reinforce to the audience that This is a superhero! like i hate captain america as a concept but some of his designs are dumb as fuck too. why is the supersoldier wearing spandex why are some of the looks for the high fashion superhero so Boring. why does the weather goddess just wear a basic suit and cape. anyways. this is all to say i believe that emma frost should be an old drag queen or some other sort of diva in her 50s.
