and deep inside he is lonely he needs someone who he can trust someone who will stay by him despite his ‘uselessness’ outside of his family someone who will willingly help him and truly care for him but that seems less important than how Jamil feels I mean Kalim is rich his parents assumingly love him he can do whatever he wants he is free while Jamil is stuck in his position one he had no say in and his parents don’t seem too kind to him so obviously he suffers way more and in fact Kalim doesn’t even have trauma! Look at how happy he is how he rarely looks sad or angry he is loved by his dormates and is surrounded by friends (also small yap but because of how kind he is some may say he is too nice and therefore secretly evil (or how Jamil is completely justified with how he views Kalim) anyways he is the only housewarden who has not overblotted So here is Jamil uber talented pretty related and funny vs Kalim who is your average happy boi I’m not good at constructing my thoughts well but I’ve noticed that more bubbly and kind characters are looked at as oh here is the sunshine anyways or how boring characters who do bad things inspire more people to want to know more as they are seen as unique I’m not making sense but two more things one Jami appears to be more of a girlhood kind of character long hair beautiful having to mask how you feel the eyes the mood yada this is me being tinfoil hat but I feel like more ‘feminine’ male characters are sometimes treated better then there is Kalim short choppy hair big round eyes mire out there this somewhat gives more masculine vibes okay small tangent one done number two in conclusion I believe some Twst fans view Jamil as a wonderfully written and interesting underdog (they’re not wrong with this one) while Kalim is the typical happy go lucky privileged annoyance with only happy thoughts so why would you like the boring basic dude more than the sad complex dude? sorry if this doesn’t make sense I just reaaally like Kalim a bunch
