This fic was meant an an exploration of Solas’ first moments as a physical being, and then leads into a comparison piece where he asks Lavellan to remove her vallaslin. I thought it would be interesting to explore not only Solas’ transition from spirit to physical form, but I’ve also always wanted to explore his inner thoughts and feelings during the infamous Crestwood scene. Not my usual fandom but all the buzz around Veilguard has really inspired me to finally write and post something for Solavellan, which I honestly can’t believe I’ve never done before now… I’ve been writing their story in my head for the last 10 years as I awaited the sequel to DAI, so I had to add a little fic to the mix.
