She runs over to the tank and sits on the edge near the opening.
““ready when you are, sir!”
She’s sneaking around corners nervously, flinching at every sound of gunfire and crashing. Someone had poofed her earlier and brought her to a war zone, and now she just wanted to leave. She soon noticed someone next to a parked tank eating some candy. They seemed trustworthy, but she kept her guard up just to be sure. “Um, h-hi?” She said quietly, trying to do her best not to surprise them.
-He finishes off the expired mars bar, before crushing the wrapper into a ball within his fist, and flicking it away- Only to suddenly whip his head around at the sound of an unknown voice.
“What the… Hell? … Uh, hello there?”

““oh, no, not really. I just wanted to say hi! Who are you, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m Blue sunstone.”
Blue Sunstone walked around one of the more quiet parts of homeworld. As she looked around, here eyes settled on a tall, dark, figure. They were huge, as tall as white diamond! As blue Sunstone had only met white at the beginning of era 3, she was definitely nervous to approach them. She decided to try anyway, and walked up to the fellow gem. They didn’t seem to notice her. “U-um, hello?” He shyly waved, hoping this gem was nice.
“Oh hello dear. Can I help you with something?”
““alright then captain!”
She looked around curiously, noticing it got quiet.
““oh hey, it’s quiet now. Wait, is that a good thing?”

“Um, what do want me to call you?”

“I get it, but you’re not babysitting me, I’m 7,354 years old. And besides, I have the ability to defend myself, I just got poofed in the first place because I was caught off guard.”
She thinks for a moment.
I have a calming aura I can make to make others relax, and though i only really use it to make them feel better, it might calm someone down enough that they don’t want to fight. I also can run fast, but not super speed/ the flash fast. I’m really strong too, and this!
She steps back. She holds out her hands, which suddenly burst into a deep blue flame. She quickly puts herself out and walks back.
“Um, so, was that cool? Is it good enough? I think I could be of use until I can leave. What do you think? I don’t like fighting, but I’ll do it if absolutely necessary, but I won’t kill anyone.”

She seems surprised by the sudden change in attitude. She wants to ask why he thinks that, but also doesn’t want to interrupt him.
She walked up curiously. She wasn’t sure who this person was, but they seemed nice. “Um, hi there. I’m Blue sunstone, who are you?”

She gasps as he hands her the frog, getting starry eyed.
“oh my stars, it’s adorable! Hi little frog.”
She walked up curiously. She wasn’t sure who this person was, but they seemed nice. “Um, hi there. I’m Blue sunstone, who are you?”

She watched as he ran around, grabbing things off of the shelves.
She was curious about what he was going to do, but a little nervous.
She walked up curiously. She wasn’t sure who this person was, but they seemed nice. “Um, hi there. I’m Blue sunstone, who are you?”

Blue Sunstone stared in shock, processing what he just said.
“Oh-oh goodness no! I’m not a god, far from it!”
“And what do mean ‘’another fight with a god’? You’ve fought a god? Gods exist?!? I thought they were just made up by humans to try and explain how the earth works as it does!”
She walked up curiously. She wasn’t sure who this person was, but they seemed nice. “Um, hi there. I’m Blue sunstone, who are you?”

““What no! I don’t even like attacking people! That’s terrible!”
She walked up curiously. She wasn’t sure who this person was, but they seemed nice. “Um, hi there. I’m Blue sunstone, who are you?”

““like I just said, you seemed nice and I want to say hi and maybe be your friend if you want to.”

Well, that plan failed.
Blue Sunstone didn’t expect him to scream, so she screamed and jumped back too.
“Ahhh! I’m sorry! You just seemed nice and I wanted to say hi!”
She walked up curiously. She wasn’t sure who this person was, but they seemed nice. “Um, hi there. I’m Blue sunstone, who are you?”

Once she realizes he can’t hear her, she’s worried about accidentally scaring him, considering she’s 7 feet tall and what he’s working on is smoking.
She decided to wait. She stood close enough that he knew she was there, but far enough as to not spook him.
She walked up curiously. She wasn’t sure who this person was, but they seemed nice. “Um, hi there. I’m Blue sunstone, who are you?”

“Spaceship? I don’t have one, I’ve lived on earth for two months now. I do have an apartment though. And you can call me blue or sparkles if that’s easier to remember.”

““you’re definitely right about it being a bit too late to start moving. I know this might be asking much, but could I stay with you until it’s safe to start going, or whenever you’re ready? I wouldn’t want either of us to get into any trouble or danger.”

“Huh, most Gems from Homeworld don’t usually want to get to know me like that,” said Steven as a hand came to his chin in thought. “Hmmm, well, based on what you’ve already said, there’s not much else to know. I’m half-human, half-Gem, and my mom is Pink Diamond. She gave up her physical form—and her gem—to bring me into the world.”
“It’s sorta complicated.”

She smiled more. “yeah! After being hearing about earth from blue diamond, I wanted to see it for myself.”
(Ooc) blue Sunstone is already on earth for a few weeks before she decides to make the ask blog. Would you be ok with me making our roleplay as a ‘‘flashback/ look into the past’ kinda thing for the blog? Like, our roleplay is canonically how she first experienced earth. And our roleplay is how people learn about her first time on earth. Canonically, this roleplay doesn’t exist on the blog. Sorry if it’s kinda confusing. I’ll try to explain it better if you need me too.

I decided to add more ideas that I thought of! All credit for AU idea goes to @fflaminlo.
All four of them love cookie cats with an undying passion. When sunstone, rainbow, and smoky discovered they were going to stop being made, they all silently mourned together before going to buy the rest that they could find. When Steven sings the cookie cat jingle, they want to join in, but decide to just let him sing. When Stevens eating the cookie cat that helps him discover his powers, rainbow, sunstone, and smoky are all eating a cookie cat too.
Unlike Pearl, rainbow loves eating, he doesn’t eat as much as cannon amethyst, but he does have breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with everyone else, along with the occasional snack. Rose is the one that taught him about eating. Unlike cannon, before steven gets his powers, he does end up going to school. This means he only really goes on missions on the weekends, but he doesn’t mind. All three gems and Greg do their best to help steven with his schoolwork. They all agreed that for the sake of Stevens school life, that Greg be the one to drive steven to school. After a while, rainbow started flying steven to school sometimes. rainbow 2.0 was still devoted to rose/pink, but not in a love kind of way. He wasn’t as loyal as Pearl, but still greatly cared for rose/pink as a great friend, and was willing to help her with the rebellion.
when rose first taught sunstone about eating, sunstone was prone to only eating sweets cause she liked how they tasted. Rose and Greg were the ones that taught her about eating a balanced diet, and how she would discover more foods that she liked that way. They were right, and now sunstone teaches about a balanced diet to Steven. Sunstone still eats a balanced diet to this day, and greatly enjoys it over just eating sweets. She makes sure the others maintain a balanced diet as well, especially steven, due to him being half human and her technically being his step-mom.
they were a little more excepting of steven and tried to be more involved in a positive when he was a baby, but they were overall still pretty sad.
They didn’t kidnap him. Rainbow had thought about it, but sunstone talked him out of it. She was worried steven would remember it and it would make him not trust them. Rose would definitely have been disappointed if they did that it was something she wouldn’t have wanted. She would have wanted them to help Greg raise steven, not take him away. Also sunstone genuinely wanted to care for Steven and knew the others did too, they were just grieving.

I decided to expand upon an AU @fflaminlo made about Sunstone, Rainbow 2.0, and smoky Quartz being stevens parents. (Please check out their art for it, it explains it a lot better.)
So my idea is that the three of them were created to be special homeworld experiments to see if they could create a strong singular gem person with multiple gemstones. Only these three were successfully created. Sunstone was created to be part of blue diamonds court. Once Blue became displeased with sunstone and threatened to lock her away and rejuvenate her, sunstone ran away to earth.
It was decided that Rainbow 2.0 should go to pink diamond, cause they thought she deserved something special. Rainbow 2.0 replaces pink Pearl when pink Pearl is broken.
Smoky Quartz was the result of the diamonds trying to see if one could be created on earth. They considered them a failure when they didn’t come out. But they did pop out eventually, just later and smaller than they were supposed to.
Unlike the cannon crystal gems, these three hang out a lot more before he got his powers. When he did get his powers and he could control them properly, they started letting him come on more missions, as long as they were safe for him. They always give him a goodbye hug if he has to stay behind.
They tell him more things and hide less. Though they still keep secrets and don’t tell him super serious or really bad stuff. Steven still learns that rose was pink diamond the same way, though.
When they find out about rose being pink, smoky and rainbow react similarly to how amethyst and Pearl did. Sunstone, on the other hand, runs off to the fountain in a rage. Instead of a snow storm, sunstone is sitting with her feet in the water, her rage causing it to bubble. Rainbow and Steven go to calm her down and bring her home.
While they are doing that, smoky is sulking in stevens bed. Once rainbow, steven, and sunstone come back, they all work together to cheer smoky up. bismuth comes back after the four of them have a talk about rose being pink. They decide that she has the right to know. All four of them talk her about it.
The way steven gets cat Steven is similar, but instead of steven and sunstones adventure being about future vision, it’s about sunstone wanting to be better, for herself, for rainbow and smoky, and especially for Steven. Steven comforts her by saying that changing is fine, but she shouldn’t push and/or force herself to be how she isn’t. (@fflaminlo, if you see this tell me what you think. If you want to, that is.)

It’s a new character, as I wanted to see what I could do with this character. If you decide to check it out, I hope you enjoy it. Important note: this blog isn’t ending. I’m still going to update and use this one. So both blogs are still in use.
I had a bit of a nightmare last night, so I thought drawing some vent art and talking about it might help. The art helped a little, but I’m still a bit shaken up. I was dark and cold, and there were hundreds of glowing, red eyes just staring at me. They followed me wherever I went. When I tried to escape, they started whispering gibberish. I swore I could hear it in my own head, even when I tried to block it out. Then it got louder and louder, and the eyes got brighter and brighter, until it was too much and I woke up shaking and crying. I’ve never had any sort of nightmare like this before. I’ve never been so afraid before. Usually my nightmares aren’t so bad. I tried doing some research. It said that nightmares like this meant being afraid of being criticized or judged, but I’m not worried about those things at all. I’m just really confused by all of this.

What’s their favorite childhood memory? Why?, How would your character describe themselves? What do they think are their most defining traits? Is this view of themselves accurate to reality?
I’m a gem, I never had a childhood. So, I’ll just tell you about my favorite memory in general. Which would be, surprisingly, when blue diamond gave me the nickname sparkles. It made me feel special, like I was different to her, like a really meant something to her. I know she only tried it because pink did, and she thought it would help her feel better, but still, it was nice.
I would describe myself as a friend to others, willing to help others as long as they’re nice and not trying to hurt me or anyone else. I think my most defining traits are my freckles and calm nature. For the freckles, I’m the only gem I’ve seen so far that has them. As for my calm nature, you need to be able to be calm and patient when you’re a therapist, so you can just listen to what your patient says so you can try to help them. I may not be a therapist anymore, but I did discover that I’m just a naturally calm person, not just because I’m a former therapist.
I think my view of myself is accurate to reality. I try to be who I truly can be, not letting my former therapist job define my personality and existence.
How did you react to first hearing that it's now era 3? How did you react to the announcement??
It was definitely a surprise. Imagine after being blue diamonds therapist for your whole life, and that being the reason you even exist, you’re suddenly told “hey, it’s a new era! You don’t have to be a therapist anymore, you can go do whatever you want now! Heck, you don’t even have to stay on homeworld if you don’t want to! Also hey guess what, pink diamond never died! She just didn’t like it here and ran off to earth to live a new life on earth with a whole new identity. Also she’s gone now cause she gave up herself for her half-human half-gem son! Who the diamonds respect now cause he talked to them!” It was a lot to take in. I decided to stay on homeworld for a bit after the announcement, just following around Blue diamond, blue Pearl ended up doing the same. I got really sad and cried for a bit while I was trying to understand it all. The whole reason I even existed was to be Blue diamonds therapist because the diamonds thought they lost pink, and blue diamond was taking it the hardest. But pink wasn’t dead, she never was, she just tricked the other diamonds. For a while, I felt like my existence was useless. I ended up gaining the courage to talk to blue diamond about it. She explained that I genuinely did help her, and that we all thought we lost pink, we were all tricked. That’s why everything that happened, happened. She told me my existence wasn’t useless, not even close. She suffered real trauma from the event, and I genuinely helped her though it and helped her feel better. I had never seen such a caring side of Blue diamond before, it was nice.
After a while of having what Blue diamond said on my mind and taking in all that happened and what it all meant, I started to think about earth. I had only heard about it from blue diamonds therapy sessions when she talked about it, but it seemed really interesting. Apparently, it was really different from homeworld, with creatures I had never even heard of. I thought going there would be a nice break from everything, and give me a chance to truly explore myself, to try and see who I truly am and what I truly want for myself, to expand my life, mind, and identity beyond being blue diamonds former therapist. That’s how I got my current outfit.
I think it been going really well so far. I feel so much better and so much more free. I’m truly starting to feel like my own person, it’s wonderful! I feel so much more alive now!
Did Blue Diamond ever call you Sparkles by accident? I'm asking about outside your sessions by the way, I know those are confidential.
She did actually, once or twice. Luckily it was always right after the session when she was leaving, so only Blue pearl ever heard. They never commented about it before, but that makes sense. Blue got annoyed at herself for doing it though.
