So I been reading a bunch of fics where Steven can poof and reform……and that got me thinkin….

Basically a second gem war breaks out while Stevens a toddler, as Steven grows, (without Greg, L + Ratio bozo) more and more homeworld gems end up joining the Crystal Gems with Stevens diplomacy skills, however at the same time Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl are all captured by Homeworld (presumed dead but they arent dw-) leaving Steven, 14 years old at the time, to command them. A year later Steven finds Bismuth in Lions mane and questions her, homeworld or rebel? Why were you important to Rose? What do you do? etc.

And extra later, (roughly a year after Bismuth is re-active) Jasper is abandoned by Yellow Diamond, after she finds out about Jasper resorting to recruiting, what the Diamonds think, are Earthlings (The Corrupted Gems), and ends up reluctantly joining the Crystal Gems as a catalyst for revenge. (She slowly comes around to them and further advances Stevens fighting style)

Speaking of his fighting style!

Stevens powers are more on the offense gem-ish side than the shows defensive humane side.

So this Steven is lavaproof and poofable! (with enough force/damage that is)

As you may have noticed in the references, Steven’s shield has more thorns around the radius, so when he throws it, it ends up acting as like, a sawblade ig.

He also has a helmet like Jaspers, I thought it’d work out since this Steven is more headstrong and “dont think, dont care,” than classic Steven. Which leads to this Steven being taught to use fighting to solve most homeworld problems, (by both Bismuth and Jasper) however a bit of our classic Steven tends to slip out in waves of empathy and doesn’t *always* resort to such methods.

This isnt really a fighting style but he figured out how to store things in his gem like the others do, (mostly Pearl) which is where he keeps his mothers sword, as in this version he never found her scabbard to keep it in / he never brought Lion to the straw-battle field.

A handful of humans are in the care of the temples base to avoid the robonoids that now wonder Earth, now being programmed to search and destroy unregistered gems AND organics, while others are either dead or have successfully made it to the shelters before the war went all out.

These humans include Barb, Lars, Sourcream, and Yellowtail.

Later to be found: Sadie and Onion, who were taking refuge in the Big Donut before Steven found them.

I can see the Lightning half feeling taller (Fusion heights vary but still)! I’m thinking taller than Garnet, but shorter than Sardonyx and Sugilite.

I can see them using Lightning’s shield like a frisbee at enemy to cut through them or friends in their off time.

I don’t know if this is a male or female, to be honest…maybe just genderless. Anyways, Green-Banded is a cutie with a mix of both the ever so cheeky and cute Sky and the fierce and confident Lightning!

Cars gem AU! Up above is the first initial lineup, a chick/lightning fusion and a chick/lightning/king fusion! Last is a short mini comic thing about a time where a series of event made it look like chick poofed mcqueen, chick took off with mcqueens gem and was hiding out in a cave waiting for him to reform.

I can’t believe I forgot pearl .

It’s true that she was in empires hermitcraft and life smp but I already have a role for her since the au is focused on the cod alliance I imagined the wither rose alliance are the gems that home world have sent to earth. 

fwhip is a peridot that was sent to check on the gem experiments and sausage is a quartz that was there as a guard .

When the cod alliance finds out that there are home world gems on earth again they destroy the ship that brought them to earth leaving them stranded .The two fled and took refuge in a nearby mountain cave .

fwhip was understandably upset by this and became set on revenge he became very petty towards the cod alliance specifically jimmy who was the one that destroyed the ship

Gem joins them later on she was in the same batch as fwhip and came to get him even though by going to earth with out permission she became a defector 

Once gem arrived she and  fwhip started to appreciate the earth but sausage was still set on returning to home world 

So he left the traitors behind and went off on his own but he was lonely and came across a corrupt gem monster 

She before the corruption blast she was a crystal gem pearl that fought in the war but now she is a small moth monster that sausage decided to keep around as company

I was think that if there was a Steven stand in for the Gemcyt au it would be someone that has ties to both hermit craft and empires 

The candidates are Scott false gem and pix

but I guess since the au is mainly life smp it would be some that was in all three

If we’re only looking at people that are in all three smps then Scott or gem would be the best options because they are in all

but I think pix being the most diplomatic is the best choice if you’re looking for the most fitting personality out of the four

But it doesn’t have to be someone that is in all three @scrimblescromble made a post suggesting Hermes as the Steven figure and I think that is a good idea or at least having Hermes in the au is a good idea 

In my past post I wrote that sausage took some time to grow attached to the earth and I think that when sausage was with the crystal gems leading up to him contacting the diamonds he befriended a human kid that along with bubbles was the main reason for him finally decided to defect 

After he defected sausage moved back into the cave with gem and fwhip (the cave is were the reformed homeworld gems live like how lapis and peridot live on the farm) 

He would visit Hermes still and Hermes was unofficially adopted by crystal gems specifically sausage and joel and Lizzie 

Pix was a wreck making sure the three gems knew how to properly keep a human child alive also he was the one that ended up home schooling Hermes and teaching morals and being responsible

pix is the Greg of the au but he is more involved in gem problems and in Hermes education

In beginning jimmy was really jealous of Hermes because he’s used to being the youngest 

Like amethyst after Steven came along 

He acted like a jealous only child that got a new baby sibling only here he is a brother to the parents and not Hermes so an he’s an uncle figure 

so his situation is similar to yuri from spy x family only without the incesty vibes and he has nothing against the husband 

Lizzie was his diamond and big sister figure for the longest Time and still is but now that things are changing he has a hard time adjusting 

But just like amethyst he learns

Cod alliance Gemcyt au Wither rosé alliance

The wither rosé alliance are the homework gems that the diamonds send to earth in the cod alliance Gemcyt au

Fwhip is a peridot and kinda like jasper in that he is spiteful his want for revenge is mostly because they stranded him on earth so it’s not like he want to shatter them instead he makes it his life’s mission to make their lives harder and as inconvenient as possible 

He also starts to enjoy earth technology among other earth stuff and eventually defects 

Gem came from the same batch as fwhip and is the slightly older one when she hears that fwhips mission went wrong she went down there herself to find him

she’s the easiest to convince after all she prioritized her brother over fallowing home world and by leaving without permission is not be welcomed back 

Sausage is a quartz that was sent to guard fwhip as he fixed the warp pad and made sure the gem experiments were progressing as planned 

But there ship was destroyed and they were forced to run and found shelter in a cave in a mountain

Over time sausage alongside fwhip started to appreciate the earth sausage especially liked dogs(bubbles) but despite being the friendliest he was the hardest out of the bunch to get to their side 

he like peridot tricked them and took a direct line to the diamonds from the moon base and was going to use it to go back to home world but instead he told them about how great the earth was and insulted a diamond to their face 

So Unfortunately the moment that sausage became an actual crystal gem came at the cost of the diamonds gaining the knowledge that there was still crystal gems on earth 

But before that during the time when sausage and fwhip were living in a cave and just after gem made it to earth and joined them in the cave Sausage left them because he saw the writing on the wall and got away from the traitors 

He found corrupted pearl and befriended her kinda she was a gem monster with a scrabbled mind and body but she was a very small gem monster and the first being with a gemstone other the fwhip and gem who he just left so he stuck with her 

When all the corrupted gems were cured and she returned she didn’t remember sausage like how sausage during the hermitcraft empires crossover knew pearl but she had no clue what he was talking about

but they did end up become real friends and their conversations became a lot less one sided

Cod alliance Gemcyt au

Jimmy’s room Is a giant bubble bath/ water park the water is full bubbles and there are slides everywhere as a reference to the shoots and ladders board game 

Joels is a floating area with swords and a sculpture garden filled with his original artwork ( he and Lizzie spend time there just like they did in their original garden)

Lizzies room changes the most and is the most modern so It’s something like a movie theater and since jimmy’s room isn’t safe she keeps Norman there ( he is pink like lion)

Gemcyt au that stars the cod alliance from season one empire’s and where most of the other characters where crystal gems that fought in the gem war

Grian was the leader of the rebellion that worked together with Lizzie a diamond in disguise to fake her shattering and just like in cannon the diamonds retaliated by the corrupting all the gems still on the planet 

Lizzie used her weapon to block the blast and like rose she was able to grab two others before it hit

Joel who never left her side and jimmy who stayed close to joel 

the story takes place 5,300 years after the war and starts when a modern human historian named pix befriends the survivors 

lizzie a pink diamond disguised as a rose quartz that is a scammer and is the one that makes their fake ids and legal papers 

joel a green off color pearl that was originally quiet but over the years became more outspoken and confident 

and jimmy a defective clumsy lapis that loves human board games and organic animals 

Pix questions them about the gem artifacts and ruins he has been studying and as they get more comfortable around him they start info dumping about the caste system and the war

It steadily gets more and more personal until it gets to the point where he becomes their unofficial therapist 

Then the home world gems start coming to earth again and pix becomes a diplomat that ends up using Lizzies status as a diamond to defeat the other diamonds by talking to them like Steven did in Steven universe 

this au is heavy inspired by @playername-player-of-games and @marblegroves

Gemcyt Jimmy and joel fusion

a joel and Jimmy fusion would look something referencing toy sheriff from season 2 and statue joel from season 1 

So they have very pale green skin like porcelain and they have arms that look kinda stitched together like frankensteins monster or patches of there skin are dark blue which is noticeable next to the pale green 

I head canon that Joel like pearl from Steven universe can shoot lasers from his sword but his looks like electricity 

There hair looks like a dolls and it is constantly floating like they have just been shocked with static electricity 

oh and their go to move would be to make water clones

Gemcyt Rejuvenated jimmy headcanon

First some explanation

The color of a gem can give you a good indication of what their personalities are because of the way gems are made by the diamond putting their essence into their creations resulting in the gem inheriting looks powers and personality traits from their creator 

All the diamonds contribute to gem making process so a single gem usually is a combination of diamond traits it’s just that the mixture is uneven so the diamond that contributes more is the one that they get more from 

 An example of a gem that is a mix of multiple diamonds would be holly blue age she is a light blue with purple hair meaning the diamonds who’s essence was used to create her are pink white and blue

if it is a green gem then they have similar personalities to and even look like blue diamond and yellow diamond just like a red gem would be like pink diamond and yellow diamond 

Powers and roles are also a good way to glean information about a gem

blue gems are elites that can control water and ice they are mellow but they let their emotions stew and spill over 

Yellow gems make up much of the military and are technicians they are rational dutiful but also blunt

Pink gems are immature but empathetic the roles they take are entertainers and artists they seem to have an easier time shape shifting (their is a theory I’ve seen that they have fire powers but pink diamond never demonstrated it despite gems with pink essence having that ability)

White gems are perfectionists and self centered and are very high ranked 

white gems or gems that are lighter shades of the colors have high positions the lighter blue gems are higher than others(aquamarine and sapphire) while the darker shades or  mixed with to many different colors while valuable are not as high on the hierarchy( lapis and holly blue agate) also dark yellow or gems that are a yellow combo with pink and blue are common soldiers but topazes are a lighter shade of yellow than other yellow gems and also have a higher ranking than jasper who is orange

So Color is a good thing to keep in mind when making a gem au 

Using the information we can guess what their factory settings are 

Jimmy is a blue gem but is lighter than the average lapis and a little bit of green so if he was hit with a rejuvenator then I think his base personality would be like the sheriffs from empires season 2 but the negative traits turned up 

From white he has a I can do no wrong attitude 

From yellow he gets his stubbornness 

From blue he gets petty ness and elitism 

It sounds worse than it is he acts like an upper crust gem only sticking around because grian is a higher ranking than him but he ignores the lesser gems and gross organic life surrounding him

In order to get him back they need to jog his memory and for use to figure out what needs to happen to get him back we should make a back story here is my take

As soon as he emerged he was placed in a group of lapis they acted very much like mean lapis and nice lapis from the show very snide with lots of high school mean girl energy 

 but after he majorly screwed up on a terraform project he was sent to reeducation and when he returned they turned on him he became an outcast on the other side of the snide remarks 

and because of that realization once he reformed he made a change to his form by adding a veil he tried to hide his face out of shame but he also had hope that if he tried to get back in to the group he would eventually be excepted back but no matter what he tried he messed it up 

After three major failures the empire had given up on him and he was to be harvested but fortunately that was where he met a captured rebel martyn who he bonded with 

While they were waiting to be harvested they joked around and martyn made a joke about jimmy but to jimmy’s suprice he was not hurt by it because it didn’t feel malicious and like he was excluded 

he found he liked being the butt of the joke and opened up so when other rebels came for martyn Jimmy was offered a place on the team

Cut to current day and he doesn’t have his memories so In order to jog his memory he needs to get a slice of humble pie which won’t be hard to pull off because he is naturally clumsy but it can only be done by grian

Because if he is humiliated by a gem he sees as bellow him then he will pretend he didn’t hear the comments but if it is by an equal or superior then he will move on to the vail stage 

Then he will progress the veil stage and to get back his memories he needs to be put in a situation where he is emotional done and is with a gem lower on the totem pole that makes fun of him and he is ok with it

I always thought that in a Gemcyt au mumza would be one of the diamonds and knowing that in @sixteenth-days fic lizzie is pink diamond I have a cool idea 

one character from empire 

one character from dream smp 

and one character from hermitcraft 

They could be 3 of 4 diamonds 

Since in empires season one lore lizzie was a demigod and Kristin is a goddess I think the choice for the hermit diamond should also have a popular divine interpretation within the fandom 

My problem is that I don’t know a lot about hermitcraft so in the past when I thought about it I just put grian in the role because he was a watcher which is an other worldly being that is kinda a god  

But he is an aquamarine so I would appreciate if hermitcraft enjoyers could share their ideas and say if any body else aside from grian has a popular headcanon where they are a god or something 

In @sixteenth-days fanfic brave new world

I think it’s funny how grian finds Jimmy intimidating it reminds me of the video where grian says that he thought jimmy was cool but then after getting to know him he realized that he’s a loser so maybe that’s what will happen here once grian sees how much of a loser Jimmy is he will wonder why he ever thought differently

I think Cleo should be a terrifying agate like a better more effective version holly blue 

 agates are In charge of disciplining groups of quartz 

Cleo was a teacher irl and the the mom within the clockers Cleo is very good at scolding others and is able to intimidate others into submission just like an agate

In the gemcyt au pixlriffs is a human historian that finds and documents abandoned gem structures

Gemcyt weapon headcanons

Lizzie has a whip that she wears around her waist and it looks like a cat tail 

Joel has Roman Gladius sword that shoots lightning like how in canon pearl can shoot a laser out of her spear and of course he can make clones of him self that can also wield a sword once he gives one to them

Jimmy has a giant shield like captain America but it’s shaped like an uno card he has a hard time lugging it around so he usually resorts to water manipulation which he is also very bad at 

Scott has a rapier that can freeze stuff with a gem stone that can change shades of blue 

Grian can make little bombs and big bombs 

Etho has ninja stars

Ren has claws

Pearl has an edgy scythe 

And Scar has a gun 

One of my favorite things in Steven Universe is fusion and my favorite part of fusion is the contrasting unique dance styles of the characters

so here is what I think the gemcyt characters individual styles are

Jimmy I don’t know the style but he has a lot of leg movements and kicks as a reference to his irl love of football 

Grian his style is disco because he had a hippie theme that one time and disco was around during that Time period also he uses that finger to the sky move to poke his partner because he is a little gremlin 

Joel does ballet like the pearls in cannon but even though he is not the shortest in this au he still over compensates by puffing out his chest like a peacock and he is on his tippy toes as much as possible and jumps into the air very often 

Lizzie Hula dancing because her design is based heavily on empires season one lizzie the ocean queen she takes inspiration from island dancing 

Cleo has very stiff movement because she is zombie Cleo and she dances like Michael Jackson in the thriller music video and she dances walk like an Egyptian because mummy’s are Kinda like zombies

Scott does not use his feet because as a sapphire floats and he does not use his legs he spins a lot and he has a very old Scottish style because he is Scottish 

Skizz dances like the prince from Cinderella because he is a prince amongst men 

Jimmy in the gemcyt au is off color

We all know about the canary curse and how Jimmy always dies first well my idea on how to transfer that into a gem au is instead of dying the most he poofs the most 

His form is very breakable so something that other gem’s would be able to power through like a very hard punch could make him retreat into his gem instantly

He would also not be able to keep his form after being stabbed like bismuth during the breakin point fight or Pearl during sword training 

His defective programming is so unnoticeable that he was in denial about it for a very long time and didn’t realize he was an off color until way later 

Sometimes the defective coding that causes his form to be so week will fail completely making him poof at a random time with out an external reason

When he reforms he becomes a shining target because it is literally a full minute of him cycling through all his many many past forms  

this is base off of the gemcyt au from @chrisrin and @cherrifire

My headcanon for the fusion between Jimmy and grian is that they are only able to fuse when they are flying together because it is the only time where they are in sink enough to fuse 

at any other time their fusion dance would result in a being to unstable to function but their shared love of flight is something they have in common and it is what unites them 

I love the idea of them doing a fusion dance in the sky because they are two of the only three in the cast that can fly and thus are the few that can fuse like that 

Also Because of this Whenever the bad boys all fuse grian and jimmy have to go up and fuse first then their fusion goes back down to fuse with Joel who can’t fly

Steven universe human rose headcannon

Human rose would be a veterinarian that does gardening and dancing as a hobby 

she met pearl in ballet class as kids 

she comes from a family of very  talented notable and rich doctors that own multiple hospitals get it doctors sounds like dictators 

Her family thought that she was to childish emphatic and careless to be a good doctor they wouldn’t pay for her to go to collage 

she ran away got fat dyed her hair and started a rock band get it rock

 the money she made being the lead singer of the crystal gems went into her degree 

her family hates the crystal gems 

Greg is a fan that wants to join the band  

Steven universe AND wangxian?? Okay I'm sold!! Would Lwj and wwx start the rebellion in this au? I need to know more!

So I finally started Steven Universe and yeah…

Lan covers their gem with their forehead ribbon. Lan Zhan doesn’t need boots but how I love to see him with them.

I just love Wei Ying on tip toes, it’s an amethyst trait, you’ll see what I mean later. Yes he is shameless. Those hips don’t lie.

quiet drawing of an au I’ve been idly thinking about. Basically Garnet and Spinel swap places. Ruby and Sapphire become abandoned by Pink Diamond and Spinel becomes part of a perma fusion on Earth. There are some other swaps obviously but just for fun lol. Probably not gonna do anything else for this au lol.

quiet au concept; Lonely Connie au

Connie Pearl Maheswaran was born to single mother Priyanka Maheswaran. Her other parent, a sentient gem alien by the name of Pearl, was the last known uncorrupted of her kind upon the planet Earth after her species’ fail colonization of Earth. She gave her physical form so Connie may live. 

Connie was born blind and, as a result, the protective Priyanka keeps Connie homeschooled. Better her in the home instead of outside where others could judge her for her gem or harm her due to her blindness.

Connie grows up a bit melancholy, wishing for more from life than the four walls of her childhood home. 

One day, however, her mother brings home a mirror that reminded her of Connie from the antique store....

I’d like to introduce the Wilted Rose AU! These are the main players in this au (plus a few more gems I haven’t gotten designs down for yet). More info under the cut!

Padparascha came out perfect. That is the main difference. Padparadscha came out perfect and was immediately brought before the three diamonds (Pink was elsewhere) to show her wisdom. After all, no Sapphire had been born perfect before. 

There, she gave a vision that shook the diamonds to their core: Pink Diamond will rebel and bring about the end of gem culture as we know it. White Diamond immediately told Pink she would "test her patience". She was to wait, alone, until the Diamonds came and retrieved her. 

 After this, Pink Diamond was nothing more than a fairy tale to most gems. The only evidence she existed was a memorial garden in the very corner of a Blue Diamond galaxy. 

Thousands of years later, Pink is found again by a Peridot conducting warp tests, and suddenly Pink has a group of friends willing to help her get back into society. And maybe even back at her fellow Diamonds.....

A few tid bits what changes there are to gems:

Padparascha is perfect, obviously. 

Pink Pearl was released from White Diamond’s grasp and reset. She was given to Padparascha for warning the Diamonds of the rebellion. Padparascha kept her mostly the way she was. For her Diamond’s eventual return.

Peridot is still short as, due to the lack of a fourth diamond, there is still a lack of resources. 

Crystal Gem Pearl is reset and given to Blue Diamond as a way to remember the littlest Diamond.

Sapphire comes out off color due to the persistent “ice” (it’s actually an unformed sapphire gem she formed around) stuck in her eye. But she can easily mask as non defective for “missions”, such as sneaking defects off the chopping block and getting them somewhere safe.

Amethyst is one of the few gems who hangs out around Sapphire, having still stayed in the ground too long. They fuse occasionally. There is no Garnet. 

Spinel was in the ground when Pink was sent away. She was sent to manage the memorial garden as soon as she emerged. No friends for this Spinel....
