I've been thinking about this for a while because I haven't actually seen or read any Thomas Hewitt x reader fanfic where the main character is a meek/shy individual with an emotional nature. By that, I mean somebody who is timid, not self-assured, soft-spoken, gentle, pacifistic, and often afraid to speak up for himself/herself. Not to mention that if being mocked or bullied, will start to tear up a bit and become more secluded.

Every time I read about Y/n, they are always this Mary Sue like temple who still ends up with odd or disrespectful issues. Like there's too many of them. Get rid of them! Bring me something new! Because I have no idea what the Hewitt's would do with that sort of person. Especially if it was a female instead of a male. What would Thomas and the family do with such a person? In theory, it seems obvious, but I genuinely don't know.

Hi again! I broke this up into headcanons as well as a little one shot - Hope that's okay!

Below are other posts dealing with similar topics if you'd like to view those additionally:

Thomas Hewitt x Meek/Emotional Reader

I've Been Thinking About This For A While Because I Haven't Actually Seen Or Read Any Thomas Hewitt X

This GIF felt fitting idk why god I wish that was me

_____

Thomas is a shy individual himself - Knowing this, I doubt he'd have an issue with any aspect of your nature. He'd actually be more protective of you than of someone who's much more..vocal about their displeasure.

Thomas doesn't mind the timidness, he's fully willing to be the 'strong' one in the relationship..he's kinda been forced into the roll within his family.

Charlie will tease you. A lot. He knows what gets on your nerves, how to pry under your skin - What makes you tick, cry, and breakdown; It's a favorite pastime of his, that is, when you're still a 'guest' captive.

He'll bring up traumatizing moments, taunting you with the possibility of 'ending up like the rest.' Hoyt pulls strings not even you knew were there:

"One word, and you'll end up splattered 'cross this damn wall."

{If you're fem-presenting} "Momma only likes you 'cause you're a girl, Once she see's how much of a harlot you are, she'll throw you right on out."

Once he's gotten used to you {or you've proved your 'worth'}, he'll switch things up a bit:

"Y'know, Tommy's got a real sensitive heart..you break it, s'not gone end well for any of us."

{Talking to a family member} "They're not too bad, huh? Small, quiet, always does as they're told, not too much of a hassle, now, are they?"

--

Thomas won't necessarily stand up for you, but he'll comfort you almost immediately

If you're ever in a particular mood, Thomas is pretty respectful of boundaries. If you need to be left alone, he's just fine with that. He might leave you a note and slide it under your door - Just a quick little "I love you" or something similar.

If you prefer direct comfort, he's fully willing to let you cry it out , or vent to him. He won't be able to respond much, but know he's processing it all. Depending on how comfortable the two of you are, he's willing to hold you/your hand, some pats on the back and such.

Any comfort you show him, he'll show back. For example; If you gently wipe/caress his face down after {or when} he cries, he'll do the same for you. Ask for what you want, and he'll do just that..most of the time ๐Ÿซ€

--

Thomas isn't a huge fan of confrontation - Anything confrontational outside of 'work', really. He knows his 'place' in the family, and isn't willing to push it {aka, argue with his family}. He won't argue for you, or get any family members to stop their pestering, but he will kill for you. Anytime a victim gets too close, he's got something sharp in his hands.

If they hurt you {or anyone in the family, really}, whether it be emotionally or physically, prepare for the goriest, most blood-caked basement you've ever encountered. He needs to take his anger out, and believe me, he will - Even with your pacifistic pleas.

--

Outside of his protective nature, your pacifistic and emotional nature tends to rub off on Thomas. He knows what he's doing, and how important it is to the family - But he gets moments of doubt at times, which are amplified around you.

Those people had lives..families just like his.

Meat.

Meat is all they are.

Don't fail the family, Thomas. They're {you} disposable, family isn't.

_____

Everyone was overwhelmed with the new..'livestock' that came in this afternoon. Although a small group, they fought hard. Hoyt had gotten his nose punched in just thirty minutes prior - It was all crooked and overflowed with blood dripping down his cupid's bow. Momma had gotten it taken care of - Thomas had helped 'realign' his nose best he could, whilst momma helped pack the bleeding. Hoyt would sure swell up and bruise within the next few days..if he hasn't already..

Instead of trying to rest, he bombarded you with insults - "What the fuck is wrong with you?! You didn't think to tell us one of them got out?" - "How fucking useless are you?!" He was really mad at you for that one..

Just like last time, you cried. Frantic, raw, disheveled cries. You fucked up...badly. The thought plagued you terribly, it ate away every ounce of assurance you had. I'm sorry..I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry..it rung through your mind, but your body was paralyzed as it knelt on the carpet; You wouldn't be speaking for quite some time..

It wouldn't matter anyway - Hoyt wasn't the type to hear it. You put the family in danger, that's all that mattered. It didn't matter if you were "sorry" or not - You threatened the Family. Who the hell do you think you are? After all we've given you? Food, shelter, safety, a place of purpose?

Ungrateful. That's what you are. A selfish, clumsy, inconsiderate ingrate.

You were shaking - Desperate to apologize, make it up to them. Your hands covered your face, leaving only small opening to peer through. The room was lit only by a small, vintage lamp in the corner, though that light suddenly blurred within darkness -

You felt your hands being pried from your face, though gently. It was Thomas - Wasn't much of a surprise, he was always the one to ground you.

He held eye contact with you as he lightly dusted away your tears with the backside of his index finger. He held your shaking hands tenderly, placing them at your knees. As he let go of your hands, he slowly raised his {hands} back to your face, tilting his head slightly as if to ask for permission -You continued to sniffle and gasp, providing a small, shaky nod in affirmation. Thomas benevolently grasped your cheeks, wiping tears as he did. You and Thomas had developed this wordless affirmation - a way to ground each other in times of need; He placed his forehead to yours. You often joked that you two 'looked like bugs' from the unconventional angle, and he'd chuckled best he could. He loved you. Truly, loved you.

The room was unusually silent - You looked beside you to see Luda Mae and Hoyt gone, only Uncle Monty facing the window as he read the news. Momma must've dragged Hoyt out...thankfully. You finally looked back at him, he really did look like a bug from this angle.., but he was the sweetest man. He left you a note earlier this morning, right after Charlie had yelled at you the night before:

Nothing's gonna hurt you, baby - I love you.

-Thomas

Thomas {Hewitt}'s Issues With Personal Hygiene

TW: Discussions of Depression, Mental Health, Self-Harm, Skin Conditions, Personal Neglect, Hygiene Neglect, Descriptions of Injuries/Conditions/Bodily Functions?

Odor:

Thomas smells gross as fuck - You will vomit all your organs out ten times over before dying repeatedly {with love}.

No but seriously - Thomas does not take care of himself. At all. He will go weeks without a shower. He'd go months if it wasn't his momma and uncles nagging him {the smell gets oh so bad}.

--

Skin Conditions:

Because of how much he's on his feet, his body chafes - Usually around his thighs and groin. This paired with the lack of cleansing + constant sweet buildup, he's in constant pain. Not that he can't handle the pain, but it creeps up on him at times.

He also has a lot of acne - On his face, neck, back, highs, glutes, lots of places. Typically blackheads and inflamed cysts, papules, and pustules. He's learned not to pick...but sometimes he can't help himself {same, Thomas}.

--

Infections:

His neglected hygiene is one of the reasons {in my headcanon} that his nose rotted off. The constant suffocation with his {dirty} mask as well as the sweat and dirt buildup fostered an infection. Infections in this area are deadly - but with the right treatment, such as antibiotics {or amputation depending on how bad it's gotten} the individual can survive. Infections can lead to necrosis if left untreated, which in Thomas' case, ate away his nose {again, in my headcanon๐Ÿซ€}.

When he picks at his skin {popping, scratching, cutting}, he's not too good at keeping the area clean. This causes the skin to get infected; This usually presents in high inflammation, pus, and swelling {in his case}.

--

Hair:

Oh boy...his hair is KNOTTED AND MATTED !! This poor man..No wonder he cut his hair in the 2003 remake..it must've been a lot to handle.

His curls are THIRSTYYY, desperate for some moisture {mine too, Thomas..}.

If you know how to take care of textured hair, PLEASE please PLEASE teach him how. Please teach him how to detangle it..his hair is a knotted matted mess going through a drought rn.

Please deep-shampoo his hair..please - It has more oil than a southern cookout. Deep-condition it too..lord knows he needs it.

I think he'd actually feel very cared for if someone did his hair {by someone I mean his partner} - It would be an intimate moment for him; Getting to be so vulnerable isn't something he takes lightly, y'know.

Brush and detangle his hair, wash it, moisturize it, STYLE IT !!!! Maybe help encourage his curls, give him kisses too {he'll be blushing so so hard}. If any of the family saw it, he'd be so embarrassed {Luda would love it}.

L: "Look how handsome you look, Tommy! My sweet boy, getting all pampered." {She'd love this so much, would most definitely tell Kathryn/Tea Lady about it ๐Ÿ˜‰}

H: "Didn't know you were going all soft, Tommy." {He'd say this half-jokingly, whilst he chuckles like a smug idiot}

--

Thomas isn't neglecting his hygiene out of laziness; He's disgusted with himself. The less he cares for himself, the more disgusted he gets. The more disgusted he gets, the less he wants to look at himself. Depression also plays a major role in his self-neglect, suppressing his motivation and desire to take care of himself. He views it more as a chore rather than an act of self-respect and health concerns.

He hates having to see himself in the shower - and he most DEFINITELY hates having to touch himself {in the shower, you perv}. You'll {his partner} have to coax him into taking care of himself - A reward system would help. Lots of praise is most DEFINITELY a reward he's willing to accept.

"That's much better, Tommy; Good job." - "Look how handsome you are!" - "You did good, Thomas; Thank you {for ___}"

Calling him handsome/calling him pet names are the easiest ways for him to blush - It's an addicting yet embarrassing feeling for him.

Starting slow would be the most helpful {and sustainable} for him. For example: Starting with him washing his hands more - Then moving to washing his clothes, ect. Starting small is best, it won't overwhelm him as easily.

Offer to help him clean himself {don't get any ideas, pervert...or do, he won't mind}. Wiping his face down with a wash cloth, helping him clean his nails, tending to his wounds, cleaning his masks {with his permission, do NOT touch his masks without his knowledge}. This'll make him feel extremely cared for . Consider yourself lucky - Getting this close to Thomas, seeing him this vulnerable, is a privilege he's not willing to give anyone else ๐Ÿซ€

if the 2006 TCM movie was produced or direct by the same person as the 2003 remake {Marcus Nispel}, it would be so so SO much better. Don't get me wrong, I love TCM: The Beginning - For the lore. If I wasn't invested in TCM I wouldn't care for the movie - Honestly. The cinematography is wonderful {there's better, but I loved the shots outside the house/through the fields}, the FAMILY character designs are top tier - The group/main protagonists? Their designs are..fine. Nothing special, really {which they don't have to be, but some have pointed out that they aren't the most historically accurate.} THE HOUSE?? God, I love the architecture used in this movie - The house is an 1800's plantation home, which I LOVE the features of {not the history..}

I think what made the 2003 remake so great was how consistent the story was, how believable the story was, the cinematography, the characters, and the chemistry. Lots of stuff was happening in that movie - And that doesn't necessarily refer to the events occurring: The connection to the Hewitt's kitchen from the community center's display shelf - Leatherface/Thomas peering through the walls, floor boards, shutters, HIS MASK?? The reveal of Hoyt, Luda Mae, the Tea Lady, and Henrietta as antagonists??? {Monty was an opp from the start}

Also, I hate to say it, but the 2006 protagonists didn't appeal to me much. Listen..they are all GORGEOUS actors {both in talent and looks} but they were dealt with poorly-written characters. The dialogue is fine - Compared to the 2003 remake? Subpar. The 2003 protagonists had/have so much character to them - Pepper is what Bailey was intended to be: A sexual, screaming damsel who loses their love interest. Kemper you just feel bad for; He was gonna propose and dies before he gets to tell Erin? Especially since just {under} an hour before, she'd asked when they were gonna get engaged? His character is built on sympathy - He's a protective, sarcastic, and a bit too nosey for his own good {hence his death.} Morgan is a sensible anxious guy whoโ€™s kind of an airhead at times..but heโ€™s logical when faced with fear {surprisingly.} Andy is the protective and reactive force {similarly to Kemper.} Erin is THE final girl. Smart, strategic, alluring? Doesnโ€™t that sound like Erin?

Chrissie and Eric are good characters - but they could've been better. insulting your captives is NOT a smart move. At. All. The thing is, when Eric was insulting Hoyt, he was provoking him as a distraction. When Chrissie insulted the family, she did it as a final โ€˜fuck you.โ€™ One is more productive than the other in terms of survival {but the โ€˜fuck youโ€™ was deserved.}

Dean and Bailey pissed me off fr - No survival skills what so ever {okay, thatโ€™s not fair..theyโ€™re trying - and I sure as shit canโ€™t be talking considering this was a life-or-death situation.} Also, I get it, no one wants to go to war {I sure as shit donโ€™t} but consider Hoytโ€™s perspective for a moment:

Dean not only abandoned his country - he abandoned his brother. Hoyt knew from the moment he called Eric and Dean over which one was which. He stares Dean down so much; ESPECIALLY IN THE CAR !!!

Hoyt is disgusted by Dean. How could he be so selfish? After all this countryโ€™s done for him - He just..abandons it? Not only that, he sacrifices his brother? The Hewitts are so family oriented that this ONE action alone could've set Hoyt off. Pair the two together - Dean was bound to die.

{I feel bad for them all, just fyi}

The worst part {in MY opinion} is the waisted potential. There was so so SO much opportunities for this movie to focus on the FAMILY - Instead, it shares the focus with the protagonists. I know this is supposed to be about their 'first family kill' and how they adopted cannibalism, but we could've had so much more.

More into the relationship between Thomas, Hoyt, and Luda Mae. More into the sibling relationship between Luda, Monty, and The Tea Lady. How's Henrietta related? What was Thomas' first mask? How far did he make it in school? WHY can't he speak? CAN he speak? What is his skin condition??? I wish they explored these more in the movie rather than snippets during the introduction sequence.

Anyway..I still watch this movie religiously, but I wish it explored the family wayyyy more :)

How would the Hewitt family react if the reader had completely white eyes? (but they can see well, imagine when they are in the dark and their eyes are like animals)

Whatโ€™s the toughest part about being Batman?Knowing that youโ€™ll never make your parents proud.

Being Batman is sooo hard ๐Ÿ˜”

How The Hewitts Would React to Someone With Completely White Eyes

How Would The Hewitt Family React If The Reader Had Completely White Eyes? (but They Can See Well, Imagine

_____

Scared - And Highly interested. That's the essence of it.

This is arguably be one of the reasons {if not the main reason} you were spared. A compelling creature with a mutation? That's exactly how Thomas feels.

You could very easily startle these people - Peeking out from corners, the basement, or even the cornfield, all when it's real dark out.

Luda would have a heart attack if she saw two white eyes staring at her from the cornfield...she'd shiver. When she finds out it's you, she'll calm herself down and gently scold you.

"Gosh, ____, you startled me! I could'a had a heart attack right on this here porch." You two will laugh it off, but she'll still be a bit concerned.

Thomas would be extremely cautious: He's just so curious about you. You'll constantly catch him staring at you - Your eyes. He loves your eyes..He {as well as the other family members} are immensely curious as to how it happened.

"Why're your eyes like that?"

"Can you see?" - "Can you see in the dark?"

"Why do they...glow?"

Questions similar to this.

Hoyt is kinda..scared, to be honest. He's very confused; If he doesn't understand everything in fine detail, he gets intimidated. This comes off as annoyance and hatred - But trust, he doesn't hate you.

Jedidiah will draw you all. the. time. He does getting up close and asking questions; Be prepared lol

"Why're your eyes like that? Are you blind? Oh! Are you an animal-hybrid? I've always wanted to be a fox." - "Do they glow in the dark? Oo, oo! Can you see ghosts with those?" He's a very..excitable kid.

Serious question, because this might have changed the storyline of the tcm remakes. If Thomas ever had at least one friend, that ONE friend he managed to get from his upbringing. Possibly back from his childhood, too, let's just say that.

Would Thomas be possessive or a meek individual who would be desperate to keep them close. Like I'm talking about an extreme level of possessiveness that it would be considered sick. I think there's a word for that, I just don't know what it's called.

Because I can see Thomas becoming a stalker at one point and possibly following somebody close to him around if he needs to. Like a "threat" is close to his dear friend, and he's afraid that this person might take them away from him.

Serious Question, Because This Might Have Changed The Storyline Of The Tcm Remakes. If Thomas Ever Had

SUMMARY: You and Thomas have known each other since grade school. As the town of Fuller dies, so does your desire to stay. Feeling guilty, you decide to visit the Hewitts one last time..but Thomas gets possessive following your attempted departure..

_____

Thomas is and always has been desperate for connection. Genuine understanding - Not just acknowledgement. It's rare to be accepted when you're different - And it sure as hell doesn't get easier in a small, conservative town like Fuller. Luckily enough, he had found someone. Someone who didn't recoil in disgust - Someone who didn't laugh when he tried to speak. Someone his momma approved of.

That was back in grade school - Back when things in Fuller were "good." Though, were they ever really good?

When his momma told you about the slaughterhouse shutting down, you were nothing but empathetic. You even offered to help the family out with what little time and money you had. Luda Mae, being the prideful woman she was, declined your offer.

"Keep some for yourself, hun. Gotta do what it takes to survive out here...we'll figure out a way."

Everything got worse when you decided you couldn't stay.

--

One day, you stopped visiting Luda at the community center. No longer stopped by at the slaughterhouse to see Thomas. It was like you were never there.

You had to tell them you were leaving - It wouldn't be right to abandon them all on their own..especially not Thomas. So, you packed up a small basket and headed over to the Hewitt residence. That evening, when you'd knocked on the door, Monty answered.

"Whadd'ya want?"

"I'm here for Ms. Mae..Luda Mae; And Thomas - Are they home?"

He squinted his eyes and weakly scoffed before opening the door further, letting you walk through. He then directed you to the kitchen where Luda Mae was; She'd been preparing dinner just as you walked in.

Monty swiftly knocked on the doorframe, grabbing her attention. As she turned, she scoffed "Monty, for the last damn time, I-" She stopped. Her expression neutralized as she saw you.

"Oh, ____, there you are! Gosh, I haven't seen you in so long; Where've you been?" - "Tommy's been worried sick about you.."

There it was. You'd made Thomas worry..which is exactly why you dreaded coming over; You didn't want to be reminded of the guilty feeling festering inside your stomach.

"Is he alright?" You asked, and Luda nodded.

"Oh, he's just fine, dear. Why don't you go say hi? He's in that damn basement again.."

You agreed, but quickly remembered the basket you brought.

"What's that?" Asked Charlie, he had been watching from the opposing doorway..unbeknownst to you.

"Oh..gifts..for you."

"Me?"

"Well, the family, yes."

"That's so kind of you, dear. What for?" Asked Luda Mae, grabbing the basket from you and placing it on the kitchen table.

"Just..felt like bringing some joy to this dying town."

"That's very kind of ya - Now go see what Tommy's up to, he's missed you like crazy" Charlie said, unimpressed. He sniffled before taking a swig of his beer.

--

You'd known the Hewitt house's layout well; It's not like Thomas would invite you over after school some days...The basement was across from the front door, it'd be hard to miss unless the archway was blocked. As you approached the ominous door, you took back your hand from the handle. What if Thomas didn't want to see you? What if he'd grown resentful of you? You sighed, closed your eyes and went to open the door. To your surprise, a loud screeching sound interrupted you as the door opened seemingly by itself -Except, doors don't open by themselves.

Behind the doorway, a tall, familiarly built man stood before you. His half-mask..muzzle of sorts was tightly wrapped around his head, strangling his neck and chin. He must've heard you - or his family, talking.

"Hi Tommy; I'm so sorry, I know I've been absent - It's not you, I've just been so stressed and confused and-"

You were rambling. He never seemed to mind, especially when you called him "Tommy." He never liked when just anyone used that nickname, it was special. You were special - To him, at least.

"I need to talk to you about something." The way you said that caused him to tense a little. Talk about what? Was it his job? Did he disappoint you?

"Listen, Thomas" Oh no, you were being serious, weren't you? "I love you and your family so so much, and I'm so grateful to have known you for this long..but..I can't stay here."

..What?

"I can't afford to stay here any longer, Tommy. I don't know how you folks are staying - I..there's no jobs, no resources out here, no nothing. It's all gone! I can't live a life like that, how do you survive out here? I'd..I'd love to stay but it's not sustainable for me. I'm so sorry, Thomas."

You're leaving me. After all we've been through together, you're leaving. Just as uncle Charlie said you would..

"It's not anything you've done. I swear."

You can't leave. I won't let you leave - I have nothing. I'll prove to you how good I am - How good I can be, I swear. You can live with us on this farm, just like momma always dreamed of. You're not leaving me; Not after you've met momma, not after the countless times you've saved me from callous assholes out here. No - I couldn't..

"Thomas?"

He had been so lost in thought that he forgot to respond. His expression had dropped immensely - He had been so excited to see you again but now all that excitement was gone.

He'd lost Charlie once. Came close to losing everything, everyone. He would never let that happen again. Especially not when it came to losing you.

"Thomas.."

He had to keep you. Keep you here; In the basement; In the barn; Maybe in a spare bedroom - His bedroom. It didn't matter. You could would not leave.

As he stared you down, you felt an emptiness surround you - A dark, restless entity caging you in. Just as you thought he'd lose it, a voice pierced through from the archway:

"Thomas? Thomas, what on God's green Earth are you doing?"

It was Luda Mae. You didn't know if she'd heard your "conversation" but you were glad enough that she'd come through.

"Now, Tommy, I know you're upset, but let's just..leave ____ to breathe a minute. Okay?"

You mumbled a meek "Thank you" before wiping an unknown tear from your cheek. You'd never seen him like that - Most definitely not with you.

As your anxiety curtailed, you made your way to the living room to sit, holding your head in your hands. You hadn't noticed Monty sitting in the armchair beside the couch; Hell, you hadn't noticed the TV playing either. It was playing some..random news station - One of the few you could get out here.

"So you're leaving us, huh?" He spoke in a rough, gravelly voice.

"You heard that?" You sniffled.

"With the way you were talking, the whole damn house heard." Shit..had you been loud? It didn't seem like it in the moment..

"Don't worry about Thomas, he's an emotional crybaby, ain't he?"

You refused to answer. Seeing Thomas so distressed, so..frightened by the idea of you leaving, it fed your already aggravated guilt. So many hours in his room, so many repetitive school days spent together, drawing in the back of the class. The days when you two used to spend hours at the creek, collecting all sorts of treasures. He even picked a wildflower-bouquet for you - Granted, it was all dirty and withered, but it was enough to signify how much he cared about you. How grateful he was to have you here.

You were stripped of your thoughts as you heard Monty groan and yawn, falling asleep in his chair. The TV had become background noise for the both of you. On the table, two glasses filled with murky water and a note; Folded and slightly dirty. You wiped your eyes again and picked up the note, unfolding it.

Don't leave.

Please.

have u seen any of the other tcm movies?? genq . if so whats ur fave non remake one

Hi! I've seen the first two + the 2003 / 2006. I really really love the 2003 movie BUT TCM 2 from 1986 is so wonderful. You can't outdo the original, it defined the role - BUT, I find the 2nd movie to be perfectly campy: I LOVE Stretch and Chop Top - Bubba's design {it provides more 'character' as well as development for him} - Drayton's humor and satire - And Lefty's presence in the film. LG is a good guy too

What would the dynamic in the family be if Thomas's first and potentially only child is a female? Will she have a hard time because of her circumstances, will she be regarded as more of an unwanted child because she was born a girl, and therefore, getting insults about being useless, or will she be handled with care?

This is a wonderful question!

How Thomas + The Hewitts Would React to a Daughter

ยฐโ€โ‹†.เณƒเฟ”*:๏ฝฅ.

Thomas:

Thomas never thought he'd have the privilege of having children, he was always focused on the job at hand. When that changed, however, Thomas was thrilled - Anxious, but thrilled. He didn't care if the child was male or female, they were his child, and he would love them as such.

Honestly, Thomas seems like such a girl-dad. Idk why, that's just how he reads to me.

In fact, he'd be more protective of a daughter than a son - Especially if she inherited some of his traits {such as his skin condition}. He'll love her to the ends of the Earth just as he would a son. I don't think Thomas would teach his children gender roles; He'd be more focused on their survival and fulfillment than some irrational societal performance. He never fit into society anyway, and he fit the gender roles just fine?

He'd rely on Luda Mae for a lot of parenting guidance: Doing her hair {by this I mean literally just taking care of it}, dressing her {as in finding clothes that suit her}, and discussions of puberty. He does NOT feel comfortable explaining that {not that he really could, anyway.}

What he will teach his child{ren} no matter the age or gender, is to be strong. Mentally strong more than anything. He wants his children to be able to survive, but not be forced to. He'd work himself to the bone if it meant his partner and {their} children could be comfortable, and safe.

He'd also sew his child{ren} stuffed animals, blankets, and some clothes - with guidance of his momma of course ๐Ÿซ€ He loves family very very much.

Luda Mae:

Gosh, Luda Mae would be in the seventh Heaven! She's wanted a daughter her whole life, having a granddaughter is even better. She'd offer to help with everything: Clothes, hair, babysitting, anything you could think of. And you know she'd be ever so protective of her granddaughter - Men will go nowhere near her without proving themselves fit {Thomas would hold the same view}.

Really wants to teach her how to cook, sew, bake, sing, and take care of the house - Traditionally feminine things, y'know? Luda grew up traditional, it'll most likely bleed into her granddaughter. She'll always call her "Sweetheart" - "Baby" - "Angel" - anything endearing and sweet, really. Very very affirmative of her granddaughter dearest ๐Ÿซ€

Luda will sing lullabies, read to her, probably invite her to tea with Kathryn/Tea Lady. She's a very comforting grandma :)

Now, I know we're having fun in la-la-land, but we gotta go back to TCM 2003 for a minute.

Luda Mae is a strong, independent, and direct woman. She will NOT tolerate ANY disrespect - Never. If her granddaughter acts out, consequences will be appointed.

Hoyt:

Now, I know what the immediate answer SEEMS to be: "Oh, Hoyt would hate that Thomas had a daughter instead of a son - He's a misogynist who hates all women!" And listen, I thought this too UNTIL I re-watched the TCM 2003 movie just to make sure. During one of the final scenes: 1:12:10 - 1:28:40, Hoyt can be seen peering over Henrietta and Luda Mae, looking down at the {unnamed} baby. He seems very affectionate {for Hoyt} - Smiling and cooing at her {Yes, the baby is confirmed female "She's mine"}

The truth is, I don't think Hoyt would mind it all too much. Would he have preferred a nephew? Yeah - But he loves his niece just the same. He'll teach her how to shoot, how to hunt, throw a punch, be strategic, and he'll definitely teach her a.."wide vocabulary."

He'd definitely be the type to say "this type of stuff ain't for women, young lady." For example:

"Now ___, I know you wanna get yer hands dirty like yer daddy and I, but this type of game isn't for little ladies like yourself."

Depending on how sassy Thomas' daughter is, Hoyt's tolerance for her will differ. If she's a foul-mouthed sassy sailor, Hoyt's patience will decreased as compared to an "innocent naive angel."

He's also..terrified, to say the least. He'll be wayyy more cautious about his remarks around Tommy's daughter - Afraid of how Thomas {and Luda Mae} will react.

Oh - and Hoyt will be one of the first to offer advice and protection for his niece, especially if she starts dating:

"He called you what? - Ugly? Hell, let's see this fella; See how 'ugly' he can get."

"Now ___, don't you be dating any soy-boys, make sure a man can take care of ya real nice, y'hear?"

He loves her, but he's not an affectionate {or kind} guy.

Henrietta:

God, she is so so so jealous - She's always wanted kids, but never had the opportunity to have some of her own. She'll definitely offer to babysit any chance she gets. She'd offer the same things as Luda Mae, just more often. Oh! And she'd be a wonderful..aunt? Second cousin? Idk what she would be in relation to Thomas' daughter, but she'd be wonderful at it! Always open to talk, and very very supportive.

{Uncle} Monty:

Would not care. At all. Leave him alone and he's all good ๐Ÿ‘

"Stop staring at me with them bug eyes.."

"Girl, would you get me a beer?"

"Thomas! Get your daughter to stop taking my damn cane!"

"If you keep touching 'im {the dog}, he'll bite you."

ยฐโ€โ‹†.เณƒเฟ”*:๏ฝฅ.

Okay yay! Sorry for Henrietta and Monty's parts being short, I just don't see huge influence with the two of them - Plus Hen's basically Luda Mae 2.0, just less strict.

Your the only person on this app I've really seen actually understand Thomas, and the Hewitt's family the best. Very gay question i have, how would the Hewitt's react to Thomas having feelings for a man and or think about dating a man (probably didn't phrase that correctly but oh well.) Like all the stories people make, i know it'd probably be like some schnazz where Thomas falls for the victim or whatever, but how'd the family react to that victim being a man (if Thomas would even like a men.)

First of all, thank you!! I try. Second, this is a wonderful question! I'll try my best to answer it ๐Ÿซ€

TW: Homophobic/Transphobic statements {Tommy's a sweetheart, dw}

How the Hewitts Would React to Thomas' Partner Being a Man

Your The Only Person On This App I've Really Seen Actually Understand Thomas, And The Hewitt's Family

Slurs. Slur after slur after slur - From Monty and Hoyt of course. And really invasive/inconsiderate statements:

"Well, at least someone learned to love your ugly mug..even if it's a man."

"So..who's the bottom/top?" - "You ain't taking it in the ass, are ya, Thomas?"

"Well Momma, guess you ain't getting any grandchildren, huh?"

"Tommy..are you sure you're not confused? I know a few gals who could change yer mind."

--

Thomas {and his future/current partner} will have the best luck with Luda Mae. This Southern Christian woman lives by the Bible {with exceptions..} - But she loves her son to the Heavens. She'll be disappointed, but not because Thomas is gay. She just wanted grandchildren. She'd be disappointed to find out her daughter-in-law was infertile, too. She'd be a bit confused, but she loves Thomas {and his partner} nonetheless. Be prepared for a minor spiral though:

"Thomas, hun, you might just be confused; It's alright. There's plenty of women who'll want you, just you wait."

Thomas..are you sure? Women can be just as if not better, y'know."

"I don't understand..is it something I did wrong?" - She'd be scared she raised Thomas wrong, I feel.

It'll take time for her to get used to, but she'll never insult or belittle Thomas nor his partner. And she'll get his uncles to stop, too.

--

Luda would invite Kathryn {The Tea Lady} over to "destress" {aka, spilling both her and Thomas' guts.}

"Oh you wont believe what Thomas told me today- It's..it's not too good."

"Well, what is it? You look a bit tense, it's best to get it off your shoulders."

She sighs. "Thomas told me he's 'gay'..."

"What?"

"A homosexual, Kathryn."

"Well..well that just doesn't make any sense; He just hasn't met the right woman yet!"

"That's what I told him!"

"It'll be alright. He's..he's confused, that's all. Ain't thinking straight."

"I know!" - "I just..I hope it wasn't something I did."

"Oh, nonsense, Luda. He's confused, just as he was when he started putting them animal skins on his face. It'll go away eventually."

But the animal skins never left - They only progressed {do you see the point I'm trying to make? ๐Ÿ˜‰}

--

If you happened to be a trans man/trans masc, prepare for even more madness from all family members..

Thomas wouldn't love you any less, it's the family who'd give you issues.

"Oh, so it's a woman then?"

"Right...so a lady playing dress-up as a guy."

"Well, at least you're still getting some pussy; Huh, Tommy?"

"Great..two misguided freaks..how fun"

"Gosh, it's one thing to be gay, but you couldn't even get a real man, Tommy?"

And Luda Mae would bug Thomas and his partner even MORE about grandchildren..good luck.

As time progresses, his family will become quieter better. They'll keep comments to themselves and won't pry too deep :)

--

As Thomas' partner, - and I know this is a lot to ask of someone - you'll have to reassure him constantly. He truly thinks something is wrong with him from the way he looks, to the way he acts, and now to who he's attracted to. He loves his partner very much; He's attracted not only to their body, but to their mind - their soul. He lives a very sheltered life; So it's up to you {assuming you're his partner} to introduce him to certain aspects of life :)

How exciting...

He'll always affirm you in ways he can - He doesn't really view you as his "male" partner. His "trans" partner. His "Cis" partner. He doesn't give a fuck anyway. He just views you as his partner; Who happens to be a man. Who happens to be trans/cis. Even then, he's not really focused on that - He just likes looking at you; Especially your eyes. He feels connected to you, like soul ties.

Be patient with him, and he'll be patient with you - That includes shielding you from his family ๐Ÿซ€

____ Guys I hope I worded this right ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™ Thomas does not discriminate but his family does

Please please please tell me if I worded something wrong or accidentally said something inconsiderate, love you all

Do you think 2006 Thomas would like mud wrestling?

Maybe? - I've actually never thought about that lmao

Getting all dirty and worked up is nothing new to Thomas; He'd be good at in. Probably a good source of catharsis. He's a strong guy - Lots of strength and endurance; Plus he's tall..and big - It'll help I'm sure.

His family would call him a pig {in a loving and slightly joking way} 'cause of how messy he'd get. Hoyt would call him gay for wrestling, not because he thinks the sport is a "sissy sport", but because of the nature of wrestling.

"You're feeling up other men? Sounds a bit gay, Tommy." He's joking...somewhat.

Though Luda Mae would be extremely proud of him for trying something out..no matter how peculiar it may seem {to her}.

I think Thomas would have to be very comfortable with himself, his abilities, and his body before getting into anything that requires revealing attire - Such as swimming, wrestling; Hell, he's not even comfortable showering because of how much he sees of himself.

Anyway - This ask was fun! I had no idea of mud wrestling prior to this, I thank you for introducing me to it! I apologize if this ask wasn't up to par; If I need to clarify or add anything, please let me know !!

Stop drawing Thomas shredded / slim NOW ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธโ€ผ๏ธ

Thomas is 6 '5, around 300-330 lbs {136 - 150 kgs}. Heโ€™s strong, duh, but heโ€™s also..very much fat. Strong fat. Have you not seen this man? His stomach protrudes {which doesnโ€™t seem to be an alcohol-related thing}. His biceps are well-pronounced when heโ€™s working. This man eats well - Mostly meat and carbs {Vegetables are carbs, too}. He works hard; Rarely takes breaks. His endurance is insane - The same goes for his self-discipline. Heโ€™s muscular and fat - You can have both. Heโ€™s an endomorph, heโ€™s gonna be bigger.ย

Also..this is definitely a preference thing..but I think he looks tons better like this

"Leatherface's best friend is his chainsaw" is such a sad quote, but it's not inaccurate. Thomas doesn't have anyone besides his family - And his family demands his labor. He protects and feeds them; He also does most of the chores. If he died, the Hewitt family would die too. "His best friend is his chainsaw" reads to me as his dependance on his family, as well as his familiarity with violence. After the slaughterhouse shut down, Thomas' purpose was killing. Be the physical force in this family; Capture, torture, kill, skin, and butcher. He probably does most if not all of the physical labor: Cutting and collecting firewood, taking care of the animals, fixing utilities, all necessary aspects to sustaining life at the farmhouse. To him {and sometimes his family}, Thomas IS his saw. Just like when he was a butcher, Thomas IS his meat cleaver. Thomas IS his mask. Thomas IS his family's guard dog. That's why whenever someone calls for him, he's there within a matter of seconds. That's why he risks his life to "keep the family together."

Thomas {in his view} has no purpose outside of the family. His entire career has been violent, and that doesn't seem to be resolved any time soon. He's legitimately a guard dog; Work all day, minimal sleep, always alert, willing to die.

"Leatherface's Best Friend Is His Chainsaw" Is Such A Sad Quote, But It's Not Inaccurate. Thomas Doesn't

this is all I think about in relationship to Thomas

"This {the family} is like a feral pack of dogs; But there's enough that bonds them and there's enough natural primal necessity to solidify that as a family unit" - Andrew Bryniarski | TCM: The Beginning Behind the Scenes {15:54 - 16:03}

Do you think the Hewitt family would be against natives? Or just feel indifferent towards them? It's really gotten stuck in me because religion is one thing, ethnicity anathor, but folks with indigenous backgrounds tend to get hate from all kinds of people by just existing.

Honestly, I think you're gonna get the most from Hoyt and Monty. Hoyt is ignorant as shit - He views Natives as "the original hippies" because of the spirituality associated with indigenous cultures {Including Polynesians}.

"Native? Oh, you mean Indians?" No, Hoyt - Indian refers to India.

"Aren't Natives the ones with the sage and shit? Y'know, all the feather hats and 'old wise ones'?" No, Hoyt..

Monty will be just as bad - He's wayyy more vocal about it. Very racist. Would refer to the Washington Commanders {Previously named 'Redskins'} as comparison.

"But you don't look like the ones on TV" Type of commentary.

Same as with every racist encounter within the family; You'll have to explain that no, none of these stereotypes are true. ESPECIALLY if you're white-passing. "You don't look like a Native to me" - Lots of explaining on racial ambiguity and 'The Eve Gene'.

Very similar to my previous post, honestly. Lots of explaining and bigotry; You'll need a drink or two to get through it.

Tommy wouldn't treat you any differently - He's focused on how you treat him and the family, not your ethnicity :)

I'm so scared that I phrased this wrong oh god

Hey! I really like your posts.(Sorry for my bad English๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”) And I feel so awkward asking you something..๐Ÿ˜ญ Well, in general I was interested. Thomas is a very closed person and I was interested if it is AT ALL possible to get closer to him. Like, is this even possible? What would he value in a person? Or maybe there would be some rules when communicating with him and his family? Sorry if my question sounds stupid๐Ÿ’”

Hi! Don't worry, your English is very good! This question isn't stupid at all - I think it's wonderful! Plus, it gives me more to work with which I always appreciate. I took this as an opportunity to introduce what life would be like as a Hewitt "guest" - Which I will expand on in future posts ๐Ÿซ€

Surviving Thomas {Hewitt} + The Family

Hey! I Really Like Your Posts.(Sorry For My Bad English๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”) And I Feel So Awkward Asking You

Yay! Youโ€™ve survived the Hewitts - A real accomplishment if you ask me. Sure, youโ€™re scratched up, bleeding, and traumatized but youโ€™re alive, arenโ€™t you? {Wouldโ€™ve been better to die, but..canโ€™t do much about that now.}

____

The Family

Communicating with the family? That's not gonna be as hard. Submission and respect is what they accept - Nothing but.ย

First of all, youโ€™re not automatically โ€œfamilyโ€ just because you survived - Youโ€™re a โ€œguestโ€ captive. Youโ€™ll join them for dinner, you will NOT interrupt prayer; Youโ€™ll do chores, specifically the tedious or strenuous ones: Cleaning bathrooms, helping with laundry, dusting {the house definitely needs it}, getting Thomas for dinner, tending to the animals, dishes, ironing clothes - Anything to help the family. You will do as youโ€™re told. If you donโ€™t, they wonโ€™t hesitate to penalize you.ย

Be prepared to give up all your belongings and morals. Everything they want, theyโ€™ll get. Books, clothing, food, MONEY, itโ€™s theirs. If you have weapons, Hoyt is taking those IMMEDIATELY - Theyโ€™re his now.ย ย

You will eat. Do not waste food, time, money, anything. The Hewitts have little as is, donโ€™t decrease their chances of survival.ย

If youโ€™re fem-presenting, watch for Hoyt and Monty. Both are sexual deviants with no respect for women outside the family. From what Iโ€™ve seen in the films, Hoyt tends to prefer blondes - I donโ€™t see Monty as caring too much. Just like he did with Erin, Monty will ask for โ€œhelpโ€ when you two are alone.ย

โ€œCan you help me grab that?โ€ - โ€œCould you help me get up?โ€ - โ€œCould you pick this up for me?โ€ย

Anything that gives him room to grope. Heโ€™ll try to trip you and lift your clothes with his cane, too.ย

Back to Hoyt,

Hoytโ€™s a piece of shit, but heโ€™s not as bad once youโ€™re โ€œfamily.โ€ Itโ€™ll start off very rocky - Calling you slurs, being physically, verbally, mentally, emotionally abusive, trying to grope and rub-up you {if youโ€™re fem-presenting}, VERY little trust, and lots of belittling remarks.ย

โ€œI donโ€™t know what {whoever spared you} saw in youโ€ - โ€œOne word, and Iโ€™ll get Tommy to chop your pretty ass up nโ€™ serve you on this very dining tableโ€ - โ€œWhat the hell are you doing? You ainโ€™t doing it right..assholeโ€ - Lots of comparisons to livestock and hookers, and lots of โ€œyou fucking idiot!โ€

Once he's gotten used to you, he'll respect you a bit more. {If you've gotten close to Luda Mae or Thomas, he'll calm down}. If you're not a straight white woman, he'll call you a slur and frame it as a joke - It's not. He respects those who're part of the family, but that doesn't mean he wont ridicule you when you {or a victim} pisses him off. The easiest way to gain his respect is work. When he sees you working your ass off for the family, he'll slowly but surely gain respect for you. It may not seem like it, but Hoyt Charlie does care. He'll protect you from whatever once you're part of the family..but he'll still be 'tough love'.

--

Youโ€™ll have the best luck with Henrietta - Sheโ€™s the least likely to get violent or judgy if you arenโ€™t judgemental to her. You wonโ€™t see her too often - But when you do, donโ€™t get confrontational {this goes for every family member}. The Tea Lady {Kathryn} Wonโ€™t do much harm either. Sheโ€™s not too confrontational, only minor teasing with other family members. When she comes over for tea with Luda Mae, donโ€™t interrupt unless youโ€™re spoken to.

OFFER AS MUCH AS YOU CAN !! If you see Luda doing housework, offer to help. At the scene around 1:12:00 in TCM: The Beginning, when Hoytโ€™s in the kitchen with Luda Mae - At around 1:12:20 when she says โ€œIโ€™ll go set the tableโ€, it would be best if YOU offered to set the table. Preferably before she announces that she will. Recognize their routine, incorporate yourself by helping out when you can.ย

One of the biggest, most influential things you could do is warn the family when something happens. For example; in TCM:The Beginning, at around 1:16:55 {when Chrissie grabs the knife?} You should immediately either A.) Tell Hoyt; Or B.) Run after/Yell for Thomas. This will prove to them that you care about the family, their safety, and how they operate. That will automatically bring you closer to becoming a โ€œmemberโ€ of the family.ย

Itโ€™s easier to become part of the family if youโ€™re: A woman {Luda wants a daughter}, a Christian, submissive, quiet, hardworking, or NICE TO THOMAS !!ย

This doesnโ€™t mean you have to compliment Thomas or be attracted to him - Just donโ€™t alienate him, stare excessively, or give him judgmental looks / remarks.ย

{if youโ€™ve gotten close to Luda Mae}ย

When she starts talking about Tommy, thatโ€™s a good sign. ESPECIALLY in relation to you.

โ€œY'know, Tommyโ€™s really starting to take a liking to you.โ€ = Heโ€™s stayed up thinking about you.ย

If she ever sends you to get Thomas, sheโ€™s trying to set you two up / get you two closer. If she likes you, sheโ€™ll connect you with Thomas.ย

Sheโ€™s pretty kind to you - But sheโ€™s still strict. No wasting food, no defiance, no secrets, no shaming of the family {especially Thomas}, do as youโ€™re told. If youโ€™re not busy, sheโ€™ll invite you to join her and Kathryn for tea sometimes. {Especially if youโ€™re in a relationship with Thomas, they wanna know everything most things}.ย

Jedidiah just wants a friend. He's a lonely boy who will happily draw you {please praise it, he needs some.} He gets hurt often {cuts, bruises, scabs}, he's outside a lot. You might be asked to babysit, which if you do, be prepared. He's a bit of a chatterbox if he likes you. Draw together, pose for his portraits, and let him ramble about whatever's on his mind. {You could try to get family information out of him, but butter him up first.} This will also help you get closer to Luda Mae and Thomas - Showing care for Jedidiah is a good sign that you're not a total asshole.

____

Thomas

Thomas is closed off for a few reasons: Previous trauma, anxiety, insecurity, and "fear" of outsiders. One of the easiest ways to get closer to him is by showing respect to the family. If you don't cause chaos, heโ€™ll be less antsy around you. Especially if you get close to his mother. Be patient with him, please. Heโ€™s trying his best. Leave him alone when heโ€™s stressed or really upset - Heโ€™ll usually storm off to his room or the basement. He needs time to himself, be mindful of that. Thomas, in his nature, is introverted. This doesnโ€™t mean he hates people - Heโ€™s just very cautious.ย

You donโ€™t necessarily have to compliment Thomas, but itโ€™ll definitely help him weaken his guard. I.E; โ€œI like your mask{s}โ€ is a wonderful place to start. Even if you donโ€™t like his masks, complimenting his work is the easiest way for him to reconsider how he views you.ย

He LIVES for praise. {This connects to the compliments} - Compliment his strength, his stature, his craft, how he provides for the family. STAND UP FOR HIM !!! Oh my god, and PLEASE thank him for things. For example, if he gets something for you, please say โ€˜Thank youโ€™, itโ€™ll mean so much to him. He just needs lots of praise and appreciation.ย

If youโ€™re ever serving dinner, give him a bigger portion. Heโ€™ll appreciate it.ย

If you ever find things he might like {CDโ€™s, Jewelry, BONES, Needles, Thread} anything he can craft with, give it. Itโ€™ll further weaken his protective walls and show that youโ€™re one of the very few people whoโ€™s genuinely interested in Thomas.

When attempting to have a conversation with Thomas, do it when heโ€™s not busy - And when heโ€™s not too tired. At the dinner table? Not the greatest option; Hoyt will be eavesdropping and Thomas is focused on eating. Maybe after dinner - If no โ€œguestsโ€ are around. If youโ€™re gonna ask him questions, itโ€™s preferred if theyโ€™re โ€˜yes/noโ€™ questions. Something easy and quick for him to answer.ย

As soon as he starts loosening his guard, softening his gaze, staring at you / acknowledging you more, and doing things for you; Youโ€™re in. Heโ€™s semi-comfortable with you. When heโ€™s really comfortable around you, heโ€™ll treat you as if youโ€™ve always been here. More touchy {depending on what type of relationship you two have}, open to conversation, less likely to guard his things; Just generally calmer around you. Oh, and heโ€™ll be very protective :) {Hoyt and Monty will be deterred}.

Ask him how he's doing - He may not always respond but it's a start. Bring him water, don't get in the way of his work, give him his space, compliment / praise / acknowledge him, and let Thomas grow at his own pace. The best things take time, especially relationships {of any kind}. Mutual respect is key ๐Ÿซ€

____

I hope this answers your question! If it doesn't {or you have more questions}, please let me know! Thank you for the ask <3

Anyone who says Thomas should be / is hairless is being robbed. Anyone who says Thomas smells like "pine trees and outside" is being robbed. Anyone who says Thomas is "capable of nothing wrong" is being robbed. You're being robbed of the complexity and realism in his character ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Anyone Who Says Thomas Should Be / Is Hairless Is Being Robbed. Anyone Who Says Thomas Smells Like "pine

Thomas smells gross. Can we be honest here - For a minute?

Thomas is sweating all day. Every day. With minimal hygiene. That INCLUDES laundry. Covered in blood, bodily fluids, guts, sweat, dirt, and exhaust from his chainsaw - He's going to smell like a cadaver bathed in animal feces and musk. It's not gonna be the "regular" musk - It's going to be putrefying. Give him a shower NOW ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธโ€ผ๏ธ

Also..Thomas does not will not shave. His facial skin is really damaged which leads me to believe the hair follicle is also damaged - Meaning no beard or mustache for Tommy. Everywhere else tho..no way bro's bald. No way bro's chest is bald. You've seen his arms, they got hair on 'em. His chest is the same.

Thomas is a grown adult with complex trauma - not a child who doesn't understand right from wrong, you bozo {with love}

Thomas {Hewitt}'s Voice

Because I swear he can talk ๐Ÿ™

Thomas {Hewitt}'s Voice

Hii - Iโ€™ve been thinking about this for a while now: What would Thomasโ€™ voice sound like? I decided to waste my time {watching TCM interviews / bts} so that I could gauge what Thomasโ€™ voice would sound like.

Evidently, Thomas would have an accent reminiscent of those around him. Luda Mae, Henrietta, and Kathryn / The Tea Lady have the most authentic โ€˜Texanโ€™ accents out of the family, considering those actresses are the only ones from Texas. Hoyt / R Lee Ermey is from Kansas, and Old Monty / Terrence Evans was born in Pensylvania. Andrew Bryniarski {Thomas} was also born in Pensylvania - Which is very evident in his accent in later interviews.

Things to consider: Bryniarski has been suspected of the usage of sterroids and alcohol abuse - Which can alter your voice - This is extremely prevalent when comparing modern interviews to older interviews.

Bryniarskiโ€™s voice is slightly nasally, a bit raspy, and on the deeper-end of the spectrum. At times, his pitch is average - Others, itโ€™s lower. His voice never gets โ€˜highโ€™ when heโ€™s speaking, but it can through non-serious or extreme measures. I.E; When Thomas' leg gets cut {1:19:15}, Erin chops off his arm {1:25:07}.

Speech Pattern:

Thomas' vocal cords don't appear to be damaged, just scarcely used. This could make speaking a difficult and uncomfortable {mentally, physically} task for Thomas. It's a chore rather than second-nature. This also applies to his oral and mastication muscles. The only time he uses his mastication muscles is when he eats - which is AT MAX three times a day. I'd say maybe just two. This would lead to muscle atrophy - weakening or loss of mass in the muscles. When we talk, the neck and tongue muscles {Strap muscles, Thyroid muscle group, Cricoarytenoid muscle group, Genioglossus, hyoglossus, palatoglossus, styloglossus, Superior lingualis, inferior lingualis, vertical lingualis, and transverse lingualis} do the majority of the work.

Considering Thomas' mastication muscles are weaker, he'd {most likely} have difficulty pronouncing "t", "k", "d", "g", and "r". Thomas would also be prone to slurring, mispronunciation, slow speech / common pauses, enunciate the wrong syllable - or enunciate equally, and inconsistent speech / errors.

Here's clips of Andrew speaking on the TCM set - I figured clips of him on / around set would be more accurate to how Tommy speaks JUST BECAUSE Andrew would be in the headspace of Thomas during this time.

{Warning: The audio quality is so ass I apologize ๐Ÿ˜ž}

I think Thomas' voice would be more like Bryniarski's in the third video - where he's talking about Leatherface's relation to the chainsaw | 'Leatherface's best friend is his chainsaw.' {Which I will be making a post about that specific statement.}

Obviously - Thomas would have a southern {Texan, specifically} accent, though I don't know how 'rough' or 'thick' his accent would be. I have an inkling that Thomas would have a rasp because of his weakened vocal cords. Probably lots of depth to his voice, though it wouldn't be excruciatingly deep. Most likely reminiscent of Andrew's pitch - With minor changes depending on the situation, energy levels, hydration, headspace, and how much he's spoken that day {I'm projecting here โ˜๏ธ๐Ÿค“}. His preferred form of communication would be minimal, blunt statements, using as little words as possible. Simple 'yes'' and 'no's' would be portrayed through nodding / shaking of the head. Directions would be communicated via pointing.

For example;

"Have you eaten yet? / Are you hungry?" = "You eat?"

"I like green." = "Green, good."

This is NOT because Thomas is dumb - Contrary to popular belief of the town. It's because talking is a chore for Thomas. It's something he has to think and put effort into as opposed to yapping your ear off. He'd also only speak if it was really important. I doubt he'd be a chatterbox, but he'd make noise like grunts or groans - Some incomprehensible sounds that are only distinguishable by those who've been around him long enough. You'll get the hang of it - Recognizing certain sounds correlate with specific experiences or responses. Do NOT try to imitate them - He'll glare and shut off socially; Which is the opposite of what you want if you want to get close to Thomas. {And Luda Mae would beat you black n' blue for making fun of Tommy.}

--

tldr; Thomas would {most likely} have a voice reminiscent of Andrew Bryniarski's - Slightly raspy, heavily molded by a Texan accent and pronunciation issues.

The Hewitts are Hypocritical Religious Cowards - Minor Character Study :)

The Hewitts Are Hypocritical Religious Cowards - Minor Character Study :)

{Literally just these three but y'know - Monty's sleeping as usual with his lazy ass}

I think Luda Mae fears God; Hoyt doesn't..at least not as much. They were both raised the same, by the same people, in the same environment, of the same religion. But Hoyt was - is, a product of sin, in my interpretation. Hoyt was born of sin and will die of sin; Born to commit the sins of his father. Because of his "predestined" behavior, I think Hoyt views what he's doing as either a form of redemption {for himself and his mother} as well as a final 'fuck you' to God. {Inconsistent ahh religious relationship}

its seems almost as if Charlie views himself as someone who's predisposed to hell. "I was born of sin, I'll die of sin - Might as well have some fun." His experiences in the world most likely drove him away from religion and weakened his faith in God overall - Further fueling this mindset.

In some individuals, religion can develop into a form of psychosis.ย  I don't think Hoyt has that {on the surface}, but Luda definitely does. I doubt God is going to make you burn for fucking up, Jesus didn't care as long as it was genuine mistake. If he did, everyone would be in hell right now. The only reason Eve was punished is because she prioritized herself and her pleasure over the boundaries of God. That's not the same as messing up, people forget that. But in the case of the Hewitts - They chose the same path as Eve - Just more viciously.

The Hewitts {Hoyt more specifically} prioritized family pride over the lives of other people. They'd rather stay on their land than move away. They'd rather be forgotten by society - Kill and consume outsiders, instead of adapting to another town.

Remember the dinner scene in TCM: The Beginning? Just before Bailey dies, as Chrissie's insulting the family. That right there is the perfect example of the family's philosophy.

C: "I have a question for you, it involves the family tree - the lineage, if you will; So I guess this one's for the table: You guys fuck all your cousins or just the ones you find attractive?"

H: "You blasphemous bitch! This is redemption, lady, that's what this is! Oh, you're all gonna pay for your sins, that's right! And especially you."

Hoyt knows what they're doing is wrong - they all do. Yet they reframe it as "cleansing the world of sin." The mindset "we do what we have to in order to survive."

H: "You starve to death, or survive."

Hoyt views what they're doing as means of survival. They were starving to death - which he explicitly says in the 'first supper' scene

H: "Thanks to the good sheriff here, we ain't gonna go hungry tonight. Matter of fact, we ain't never gonna starve again."

____

Dean deserved to die because he failed his country. His fellow soldiers. Morgan, Kemper, Pepper, Andy, Erin, they all deserved to die for their possession of weed and their disrespect towards the family. Chrissie and Eric deserved it for the same reason. Bailey was with those 'disrespectful draft dodgers.' She was a whore, too - Just as sinful in the eyes of the lord.

stfu Hoyt as if you haven't done worse

Erin and Bailey disrespected Thomas - This would set Luda Mae off so bad. SHE LITERALLY SAID "Get her out of my sight" to Thomas in reference to Erin. She's disgusted by them - Disgusted by anyone who insults her, Thomas, {anyone in the family really}, or God.

L: "I know your kind - Nothing but cruelty and ridicule for my boy, all the time he was growing up. Does anybody care about me and my boy? Huh?"

--

E: "What's wrong with you fucking people?"

H: "Nothing wrong with us..?"

L: "Tommy; Thomas Brown Hewitt, you get in here right now! Get her out of my sight."

--

None of them deserved a second chance. As soon as they stepped onto the property, they solidified their fate. The Hewitts view themselves almost as a necessary evil - Angels of Death, if you will. They kill who they do based on how 'sinful' they are. That includes how they treat the family. {Which I doubt is based on 'respect' being one of God's values - I think it's because of how prideful these people are.}

____

Luda fears God. She fears The Rapture. When Jesus walks the Earth to gather his sheep. The day he waltzes into the Hewitt household taking the form of a 'helpless draft-dodger.' When the molded wallpaper and dusty lace tablecloth aren't enough to hide the rotting carnage, seething beneath the decaying floorboards. As he takes his place at the table, looking down at the family -

"This is redemption, lady, that's what this is! Oh, you're all gonna pay for your sins, that's right! And especially you."

You.

The wailing. The begging. The prayers falsely spoken by your forked tongue.

"I'm not gonna hurt you, honey."

Liar.

A shepherd? No, - Vicious wolves clothed in the skin and cloak of the fallen guardian. Harboring the sheep to their intemperate slaughter - You selfishly feast upon.

Did you feel it?

Do you feel it now?

Whilst the blood spilt from between her legs; Staining your sheets - The same ones Mama's washed over and over for the same selfish reasons.

Rewarding, was it not?

Did the screeches of pain exhort you? - Ravish you. It feels good to take what you deserve.

Except you didn't deserve it; Did you, Charlie.

Not by my teachings - and certainly not by your mother's.

"You poor thing; Sweet mourning lamb. There's nothing you can do - It's already been done."

But she deserved it.

She sinned - Did she not?

And sinners don't deserve patience - Nor do they deserve mercy.

They're vessels possessed by the Devil - You were only doing what's best.

Clearing them out.

And the cowardly - I didn't teach my children to be cowardly, did I? No, I did not. You're not a coward, are you, Charlie? Most certainly not - Not with what you've done to serve your country. No; You're a hero.

Heroes don't rape

Our Hero.

Heroes won't yield

My Hero.

Coward.

And cowards heroes like you deserve a special place in hell Heaven.

I have no idea what to post I'm so sorry - Take this

Andrew Bryniarski is not a good person - He's cussed people out for jokes, made light of Gunnar Hansen's death {they had a disagreement, Hansen made a light jab, Bryniarski took it too far}, made disgusting comments about Hansen and those defending him {telling them to "suck his dead nuts" and "suck a big bag of black dicks, asshole"}, as well as just being a genuinely narcissistic asshole. If he wasn't an ass, I wouldn't be making jabs at his looks :)

Love Thomas, not Andrew ๐Ÿซ€

Kinda funny how his most popular role is the one that looks / acts the least like him
