you blink awake, sunlight pouring into your room through the blinds. sighing, you lean over to check the time. 11:43. you sigh, sitting up to stretch and glancing next to you. niki is still asleep, occasionally slightly twitching from his dream. you smile, hand ghosting against his jawline before you lean down to press a kiss against his nose. he stirs slightly but doesn't wake up, relaxing back into the pillows.

you pull the covers off and quietly get out of bed. grabbing a hoodie from the floor, you head to the kitchen to begin making breakfast. as you're preparing the food, two arms wrap around your waist and a familiar vanilla scent fills the room.

"is this my hoodie?" niki's voice is deeper and raspier from sleep.

"i guess so." you murmur, continuing to mix the batter. behind you, niki laughs, leaning to press a kiss to your shoulder.

"what time is it?" he asks. he doesn't move from his spot from behind you.

"almost noon." niki hums, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "waffles?" you nod. "wow, letting me sleep in and making me breakfast? i have the best boyfriend ever~"

you laugh, turning around to face him. "i think you've won that title." niki laughs, leaning down and pulling you into a quick kiss.

"i disagree," he murmurs. "it's definitely you."
