Curate, connect, and discover
Yes, this!
Hey hey, as a librarian, can I just say don’t pace yourself at the library. I get a lot of customers saying “oh I shouldn’t get too many books out at once” but like you should!!!! Max out your card, take everything we have on a subject you’re interested in, make a book fort in your home. We love that shit! It doesn’t matter if you read them or not; just take them for an adventure and bring them back whenever they’re due!
For public libraries, one of the ways we secure funding year to year is lending. Governments don’t want to fund more books if they’re not being used and the way we measure use is by issues. Regardless of whether you read it or not, whether you have it for a day or a month, if you issue it to your library card, we get the stats! It makes the library look good!
Help your local library; get books out even if you know you can’t read them all!
Here in Idaho, we have something that I keep calling the 'lending library' and what it is for is if you request a book or something to be added to the library, they can check if other libraries in the state have it. I don't know if other states have this but it's let me read at least 5 different out of print books.
PSA go be a bad bitch and use your public library. Look into what media and formats of it they have, use it to study or as a quiet place to get away. The library is really fucking cool so use it.

Day 8: Cryptic + season
(Kinda like this one idk why)
Day 9: Crow + thread
(I adore this little crow, she is cute)
Day 10: Skull
( I absolutely hate this one, art block was art blocking that day ಥ_ಥ)
Day 11: Snail + castle
(Love the snail with his little castle on the back hehe)
Day 12: Teeth + library
(This one didn't turn out how I wanted it to)
Day 13: Skeleton + socks
(Today I was lazy to do anything so I did something quick and cute)
They are important and beautiful!
“She is very gorgeous to me!”
so yall might know zlibrary, the online library eith TONS of free books right?
well, the web recently shut down so know you can’t access the books through the website. but you can actually still use zlib in a way through their telegram.
just access their single login page (search zlibrary and it should appear. you might need to scroll down though) and login or make an account. after logging in, you should get links to their other websites, but we’ll use the code at the bottom (slash start [code])
go to their bot on telegram (Zlibrary1[underscore]bot) and start the bot. copy and paste the code from earlier to the bot. you should be able to access books by sending the title or author afterwards. they’ll send you a message of matches from the library, just scroll til you find the one you are looking for and click the code underneath (slash book [book code]). it’ll automatically send the code back to the bot. the bot will then send u the pdf file of the book!
hope this helped!

Opening the door to the outside, a soft breeze hugged you gently. It was the time of the year where everything was reborn and life started to fill every living thing.
Off in the distance you spotted something strange. As curious as a cat you walked forward, fingers gentle touching the various flora you passed.
Up ahead a figure smiled, offering a hand as you drew closer. “Oh my, a new flower! Right this way dear”.
Brushing past the vines that draped over a wall that had appeared, you found yourself pushed forward as light began to shine brightly. As quickly as it had come, it was gone. Blinking in confusion you opened your eyes and gasped at the sight.
Books. Books everywhere.
Over in the corner you spotted another figure. Walking over, you tapped the bell, eyes looking up at you. “Oh hello, welcome!”. Their voice was soothing and warm, easing you. “This is my library, here you’ll find works of many kinds. The more spicier ones are in the back there”.
Standing up, they offered you their hand and smiled. “Don’t worry sweet flower, you’re safe here. You can call me Lexa”.
Hello hello, welcome to my library!
This is where I reblog all works posted on my other account, @springismss.
I may, occasionally, reblog other posts.
I just listened to the shmanners episode about libraries and at my local library you can, as a library goer, get a key-card to access the facilities between the hours 06.00-22.00 all days of the week. The library is only staffed some days of the week under normal business hours and I was wondering if this is something common of if my local library is a bit odd in that regard
