K I’m reading the Witcher books rn and I don’t see enough people talking about how INSUFFERABLE Ciri is at first, like I understand she’s a princess but you are clearly not a princess anymore girl, however I really like how in the Tower of the Swallow we get a little more into her time with the Rats and how it changed herself and her view on the world, I think its my favorite book so far

they way you win is by having Jaskier the longest. Lambert once had him for six months, and no one has been able to beat that because Geralt has figured out their little game, so he makes sure to get to Jaskier as soon as possible

One year, as a prank on Geralt, everyone at Kaer Morhen decided to play a game they called "Pass the Bard."

The game starts in spring when one person has to locate Jaskier before Geralt does. They then travel with Jaskier until they encounter another witcher, whom they pass the Bard to.

The objective is to keep Jaskier away from Geralt for as long as possible.

The witcher fandom is so lucky to have joey batey and 3/4 of them don't even realise it. Like, he put so much love into playing Jaskier. He's read the books numerous times, wrote Jaskier's songs, collaborated to help write Jaskier and Radovid's romance in s3 to make sure it was done properly, supports his co-stars and praises them, helped mahesh jadu when he first accepted the role of Vilggefortz because mahesh hadn't read the books yet, and through it all he remains constantly humble and doesn't like compliments. The man lives and breathes his job and we are so damn lucky.

Jaskier isn't even phased by the flame. He knows what's about to happen and if you look in his eyes, they're just tired. He's tired and numb, he's dissociating to protect himself. Sure there's a little fear in his eyes, but for the most part they're either blank or angry.

My point? Joey's acting is genuinely incredible.

Its weird to think that there was a time in my life where I didn’t know what the Witcher was, or even the Amazing Devil. Like i cannot physically imagine my life without those two fixations at this point

Why I love the Song of the Seven:

Reason 1. Joey’s voice has so much range in it, from his growls and his harmonies

Reason 2. HOLY SHIT

Reason 3. It is a big ol fuck you to the government

TWN rant:

I'm kind of sick of the Henry Cavill fans in the TWN fandom- I understand you're angry that he left/was fired, but you don't have to ruin the fandom for everyone else. Some of us weren't watching for Henry and I think that's what they don't understand, (obviously I'm not talking about ALL Henry fans, but a lot of them) like Henry is not the only talented actor in that show, Freya, Anya, Joey, and Hugh were all INCREDIBLE in season 3, and I'm just tired of people telling me that the Witcher is dead without Henry, maybe it won't be as good as before but that doesn't mean it won't be decent. I just think we should chill out, and stop hating on people for liking, and wanting to watch seasons four and five. I think I'm just mad about all of my fandoms turning into toxic wastelands. But yeah, I just needed to channel my thoughts before I exploded.

Rewatching s3 and the radskier kiss happened right? Radovid singing Jasks song, Jaskier kisses him, we all know the story, the ONLY thing going through my head is "The man learned your song and your trousers are already on the floor you manslut (affectionate)" I figured I share it

Jaskier once asked someone to run away with him and we all know how that turned out

Now someone is asking Jaskier to run away with them. Do you know how much this could mean to Jaskier? So much, however I'm thinking that him wanting to find his family is not the only reason he didn't ditch on the spot. I think he was afraid he would do what Geralt did to him. Has anyone else gaslit themselves into thinking Joey's layered voice in Extraordinary Things is actually Radovid singing with Jaskier?

Joey's vocals in the third chorus of the Ride of the Witcher- THE STRAIN IN HIS VOICE MAKES IT SO MUCH BETTER, AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THD LOWER NOTES IN THE BEGINNING

You can just TELL that they let Joey have more input in this season, these songs feel very TAD like compared to Toss a Coin

I was just scrolling through Jaskier fan art, and I had a thought- Jaskier playing Master of Puppets, or any rock song for that matter, on the lute-

Not so friendly reminder that Radovid genuinely did want to run away with Jaskier but then he got crowned king, mere moments after seeing his brothers slit throat. Just in case you forgot :,)

Radovid knows what he's about to do is gonna hurt Jaskier and he looks so scared and sad, he just wanted to kiss and love his favorite bard, no one talk to me 😭

Does anyone else read something like "what if this scene went like this" and then they gaslight themselves into thinking it actually happened, because I forgot that Jaskier didn't actually rip Geralt a new one when he yelled at him until I rewatched that episode just now
