Reki and Langa have TikTok accounts to which they post.
Reki's is just a compilation of things he loves: his skateboarding (and Langa's, a lot of "so this is what's happening and how to do it"), his art, little personal rants, and tiktok equivalents of shitposts. He's got a small fan base, mostly people who want skateboarding instructions from him since he's a good teacher
LANGA HOWEVER ACCIDENTLY BLOWS UP. He didn't mean to at all, but this kid is very gay and very much with Canadian settings, which means he ends up on the English speaking FYPs. And if there's one thing GayTok likes, it's funky little gays. So when he has a whole minute of him filming Reki doing tricks on his board with a voice over of him just gushing about how cute Reki is, he goes viral. (and yes, his comment section is filled with "HE WAS A SKATER BOY BUT DID YOU SAY SEE YOU LATER BOY?")
Langa has no idea what to do when his follower base skyrockets overnight. And Reki's account also blasts off since Langa did tag him. And it ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT HELP THAT REKI HAS NO IDEA WHY LANGA'S VIDEO WENT VIRAL AND LANGA REFUSES TO TELL HIM THAT ITS BECAUSE HE WAS GAY ON MAIN.
Anyway, one crisis later, with god knows how many people screaming about how they'd be so cute together, they cause a shitton of confusion and chaos with a 10 second video which is just they stare at each other, smile, and Langa pulls Reki close, but before it's seen if they kiss or not, the screen goes black. And the caption is "Two best friends in a room, they might kiss."
So they mess with the hearts of way too many people. Between their usual posts, Reki's skating instruction videos, Langa's "you weebs all want to live here but you don't actually know what it's like" rants, they post the chaos videos, the ones where people just want to know if they're together or not. They even post one that's essentially "I'm sorry everyone, but we're extremely straight best friends" when there's very clearly a gay flag behind them.
After months of causing chaos, they finally do confirm that they are in fact dating with a blooper vid of them laughing before kissing. The internet explodes at that moment and they're left high on the feeling of all the chaos they caused
