i have been waiting to get to this moment for such a long time. this panel is so beautiful. thorfinn having a fit of rage after swearing off violence reminded him that this journey he’s taking is difficult. to choose kindness and peace in a world of violence is a challenge. yet all he wishes for is the strength to be gentle.

it takes courage to admit that you let yourself react to your rage, even for just a moment. thorfinn doesn’t see this as an opportunity to unleash his revenge but as a lesson. walking a path of peace isn’t as easy as it seems, especially when his past is constantly causing issues for him in the present. but he takes it as a sign that he has more room to grow.

even though he’s upset with himself, this alone shows how far he’s come on his journey. he can admit he was angry and wishes to be better, and given how driven he is, i know thorfinn will continue to grow kinder because of this moment of anger.

this scene is just so beautiful in every way. the art, the writing, and the character growth. thorfinn is such an amazing character and a testament to changing for the better. i’m just loving him more and more throughout this series, and i’m so glad a character like him exists. <333
