Curate, connect, and discover
Listen…my friends all started coming out one by one when I was in middle school. It didn’t take me long to realize that I wasn’t straight either and what really brought us together was our shared experiences of feeling outcasted by society.
The better portion of my friends now are still very queer. Of course I have straight friends and acquaintances but the people closest to me and the people I love most share that experience with me. Being queer is hard but when we find each-other we thrive.
You befriend and get close to the people who understand you, champion you, and love/support you.
I don’t actively seek out queer people to hangout with. 9/10 times it just happens to be that they’re also queer. So for me, when I see certain people or celebrities out and about with openly queer people and a lot of them… it makes me wonder what it is that drew these people together.
(ESPECIALLY if it’s women with openly queer women)
I can be wrong and it might be stereotypical but when I see gay men they often hangout with primarily straight women (just my pov and this is a general statement).
This is just from my perspective though and I could be totally off. After all the only person who knows Taylor is Taylor and really that’s all that matters.
