The crowd's cheers and whistles continued into the dark back crevices of the stage. The stage crew bustled around, too preoccupied with the post-production mayhem to notice the shaking cartoon slip into a hidden area.
Sinensis covered his mouth as he shook like a leaf. Their smiles, their laughter, wasn't it lovely? Wasn't it great?
A small sniffle, a hiccup, and Sinensis slumped to the floor with a sob- burying a paw in his hair and gripping hard. It was a great show- why was he-?
He needed to get it together. He had so much he needed to do. Sign a few autographs, he had a meet and greet soon- had to make sure he was ready for that too, make sure he wasn't forgetting anyone on his list of friends to check in on after shows- no one liked being forgotten, ignore the stares, the whispers, the questions, never stop- no matter what. If he stopped, what was he here for, really? What would have leaving his home to this unfamiliar land be for if he stopped? It was fine. He loved the smiles. The laughter. Making people happy. He was fine. It was all fine.
Sinensis huffed out a shaky breath, moving to get up, before falling back down. He buried his head in his knees and sobbed.
