David, still in Henry’s arms, wiggles himself free now that they’re no longer hiking up the terrifying stairs that the three-month-old puppy hasn’t quite figured out yet. Alex has his eyes on Henry as he fondly watches over David while he sniffs around the entire living room, before finally settling down into a tight cinnamon roll shape on the dog bed placed in the path of a sunbeam. Alex can see the massive hearts in Henry’s eyes. “We’re not gonna get any schoolwork done this year if all we do is watch him all the time,” Alex jokes. “And you called me distracting.” Henry manages to tear his eyes away from the puppy to make pointed eye contact with Alex, looking him up and down like Alex isn’t dressed in sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt, like Alex isn’t wearing any clothes at all. Given that look, he might as well not be. “That’s because you are distracting,” Henry states, pulling him in for a heated kiss.
