The noise I just made...
Moringmark just casually making me cry first thing in the morning.
Apparently, once I finish Role to Play*, I'll be doing a silly, potentially spicy fic of Vee in a massive polycule. :p An Extra Dose of Vitamin Vee * Current plans are for RTP to consist of three parts. I do have ideas for a fourth part, but if I write it, it'll just be bonus material.
A Role to Play
Part II of my spicy Veesha fic is up! I needed a bit of a break after chapter 26 of Your Touch, and chapter 27 is going to be hard as well - Odalia continues to be Odalia. But until then, we have 12,685 words of Vee growing into a young adult, setting out on her own, learning a little about life and a lot about herself and how weird relationships can be. I say this is a Veesha fic because that's the central relationship, but it's got a lot of Vee and the unnamed cheerleader girl from episode 1, who I've dubbed Clara McKinley. It's no secret that if I wind up writing a Part IV, Clara will be part of the cast. Clarveesha anyone? Word of warning, the spice levels have ramped up considerably, and the next part (aka the part I actually started this fic to write in the first place) will be straight up incendiary. My works

I've taken my first foray into spicy fanfiction. It's a Veesha fic covering the gradual deepening of intimacy throughout the years of their relationship. It being me who's writing, Vee's trauma plays a heavy role in things, and a lot of development takes place before it gets to anything adult-rated.

The idea of Hunter going to human college and suffering is honestly so funny to me, same with Vee.

the owl house has grown to be my favorite show, and although i will miss it dearly, i am so happy to see that it stuck every single landing from the beginning to its untimely cancellation, concluding with a finale that made me and so many others cry with joy.
i'm probably going to add to this drawing a bit? i will definitely do some more TOH art in the future.

i really really love vee's character development
when we see vee and camilla again in s3, we can see how much vee has adjusted to the human realm, and just like luz in the boiling isles, has found a place where she belongs in gravesfield. she's formed her own identity as a human member of the noceda family instead of being a doppelganger of luz, but is still comfortable in her basilisk form at home. she helps hunter, gus, willow, and amity adjust to the human realm. we can see that she's put the stuff back in luz's room that she had been planning to throw out while under luz's identity, and she's left a loving note to luz welcoming her back and saying she missed her. we can see framed photos of her and camilla, showing that camilla lovingly views vee as her adoptive daughter. she's made her own friends in gravesfield and developed a crush on her friend masha. and she was prepared to confront jacob hopkins, who kidnapped her and attempted to murder and dissect her, and even takes on belos, the man who ordered the revival of her species for experimentation, who essentially ordered a genocide of basilisks, while belos is possessing her friend and future adoptive brother hunter, while yelling to hunter to hang in there.
all this parallels luz's development, and shows that like luz found a place where she belongs in the boiling isles, vee found a place where she belongs in gravesfield. she's become less pessimistic and shy, and more optimistic, brave, and comfortable both as a basilisk and as a human without impersonating luz.
even though i wish we could have seen more of vee in s3 (curse disney for cutting toh short), she's still by far one of my favorite characters in toh and it's really wonderful how she developed as a character in the show. hoping we see more of her soon :)
anyway, i'm probably going to do some fanart of vee. loved her and her design since she was introduced, but especially once i first watched thanks to them :)
