hello!! sorry to bother out of the blue but i started a Yorak (galra keith) fanfic myself cause i love this boy and i wanted to ask something.
i'm madly in love with the character nikolai and i'd love to add him into my own story (which i may or may not end up publishing on ao3, only time knows) and i just wanted to ask if thats okay (totaly fine if that isn't btw). i'd also like to borrow the names stéig ma’ir, ma-róig rí (they sound extremely klingon and i love that) and zaylee (and nikolai). i'd credit u and your masterpiece of a fic, obviously. thank you so much, huge fan of your work, please continue it and i'll be looking forward to your answer. <3

It is completely okay to take Nikolai and Zaylee and other things from my fic into your own, i so don't mind! Its actually kinda super cool imo that you liked it so much, and be free to take whatever creative action with them as you'd like. If you want to know where i got names such as stéig ma'ir / any other historical Galra business i put in, its actually fairly simple.
I used the Irish language, Gaeilge, since I'm irish and fiddled around with it to what I wanted. Some of them are direct translations into what it means just with a few extra lettera and accents (á that bit on top of the a) and others are completely different words that I thought sounded nicer than what came up for the direct translation. I used my own brain (because I'm fluent) but you can use websites lile focloir.ie or tearma.ie, those should be good ones and they're fairly simple to use- basically just a dictionary.
Thank you for asking and just to reiterate, you can 100% take whatever you want from my fic and put it into yours so long as you don't mind crediting. Let me know when you post it somewhere and I'd love to give it a read, I LOVE Galra Keith fics, especially ones that use Yorak. Much love!!!
will never get over Pidge and Shiro having a nice little stroll down a river with a sloth that makes cute noises and just wants to help them, surrounded by green foresrty and lovely animals that sway in the wind and wondering "i wonder if Lance and Hunk are having a nice as time as us" and then it IMMEDIATLY cuts to Hunk and Lance being attacked and screaming all the while Hunk gets literally spat out of the blue lion. It's comedic humour at best.
Takashi Shirogane deserves so much love
he deserves it all and im sick of people pretending like he doesnt. that man is so strong and resiliant and beautiful like WHAT. even if it wasn't confirmed that Shiro was gay and sick until like season five he still deserves love even before that. In season one, he was so truamatised and like just deserved rest but he fought and he won and he lived. And even after the whole clone thing ( which i do like to pretend never happened ), Shiro never blamed anyone for not figuring it out and he never, ever resented anyone for it. He's such a sweet soul, like hes so... human. He loves, Shiro is a pack person, he thrives around people. And when it was confirmed that he was gay and disabled?
EVEN BETTER. Sure, we only saw him with Adam for like four seconds and then this random throw away character, and sure, it was confirmed like a season before the show got kinda bad and then it ended, but it wasn't one of his defining traits. Shiro's defining traits were that he was kind and strong and a good leader and he was tired sure, but he lived. Shiro lived after everything he went through, all the confusion and the torture, and he deserved to. I love him and I'm sick of him, and Hunk and Pidge, being overshadowed in ships like Klance and Kallura. Give Shiro time so show you how amazing he is. Also, he is BEAUTIFUL. like WOW. GOD CRAFTED SPECIMEN. look at him:

Klance headcannons while i suffer from writers block
Keith tells Lance that when they get back to earth, he'll build Lance a house by the ocean in Varadero with a gazebo.
Lance quietly suffers all night from the urge to tell Keith he loves him so much
When Keith is in a healing pod, Lance stresses so badly he knits. He crochets. Pidge has go drag him out of a space shop that sells yarn so many times that she doesnt even blink when he turns up with purple yarn.
Keith has so many hippos, bees and sharks that Lance has made for him.
He keeps them all on his bed.
They play stupid games on the tablets in the castle and Lance destroys Keith in all of them
Keith is a master at games on a console. Unless theyre horror and then he turns into a ball of terror and dread
Not much for public affection other than holding hands and a quick peck on the cheek, they've found other ways to assure each other in public
Keith says thinks to him in the galra tongue that leaves Krolia and Kolivan sharing a look each time without fail
Lance taps any part of Keith he can subtly three times to tell him he loves him
When Lance gets frustrated with himself, instead of pulling his hair out or biting his nails like he used to, Keith lets him braid his hair at least a thousand times
Lance got the big brother talk from Shiro
Funnily enough, so did Keith
Theyre so in love it physically makes Pidge sick but she loves them so when they smile softly at each other, she just turns away
When Keith leaves for BoM, they face time every chance they get. Most of the time Lance is in red and Keith always gets the faint feeling of happiness in the back of his head, along with a small flash of them both and a whisper of 'mine'.
One time Kolivan came in when Lance was telling Keith a story and took a picture of his face just to bully him because of how in love he was
Keiths background on his phone is lance smiling with his sister Veronica and the sun is in the background, with purple skies and sand in his hair from the beacj in Varadero
Lances background is Keith staring up at the sky, unaware hes being photographed, while a fire crackles between them.
(They were watching the sun set in the desert around where Keith stayes during The Year that Wont Be Spoken Of and get distracted so they wait for the sun rise)
Keith is little spoon while Lance is human body pillow for both Keith and Kosmo

keith collecting trinkets and souvenirs while he’s in space because he wants to bring them home for lance. so now lance just has an assortment of rocks, pressed/dried plants, welcome gifts from aliens, gems, and other stuff sitting in a small box on his nightstand.
lance thinks that keith does this to show him the cool stuff he sees in space, which is true, but keith is also trying to make up for the fact that he’s not on earth long enough to get lance normal gifts that people give their boyfriends
lance always cooks a big breakfast for keith when he stays over. keith assumed that cooking breakfast is part of lance’s routine or he’s just being a good host. but it’s because lance is scared keith won’t be there when he wakes up in the morning, so his logic is to make breakfast as an incentive for keith to stay and not leave in the middle of the night (which keith has yet to do, but still)

i think of it as keith and lance’s envy towards each other. they both feel overshadowed by the other without knowing how much they are admired by them

holding his heart is letting him feel all of his love and emotions, even if it gets crushed. i think this is how keith and lance’s relationship works. lance is literally one of the only people that makes keith feel seen, being able to understand his emotions with barely any words (i think about the scene where everyone just looks over at lance and waits for him to go comfort keith. and lance does so, not even knowing that everyone was expecting him to do it)

i think about this as post canon klance. they have left such a big impact on each other’s lives, and then they just go their separate ways??? like no keith is definitely still thinking about lance who’s down on earth. he doesn’t want to forget him and probably never will

i think keith would still have some sort of lingering fear that he isn’t enough for lance, despite not actually dating him. so lance “leaving” him for allura in season 8. this can also play on lance’s insecurities, especially when in comparison to keith

i think about this a lot with black paladin keith + red paladin lance. they are both learning to step up, wanting to prove themselves worthy of their positions.

this describes someone who’s love is so intense that it’s overwhelming. this is very klance to me because of how deeply connected they are to each other without even knowing it. keith being the person who gives lance the reassurance he needs, and lance being the person who is able to either push keith to do something or pull him back to rationalize his thoughts. THEY CANT LOVE LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE because they are stupid and i hate them

shows how different they are. they’re complete opposites but still somehow complete each other

this one is more about lance and his insecurities of being a paladin. although he desperately wanted to use the black lion, (s3 in the ep where they were seeing who the black lion would respond to, lance really hoped it would be him, even sitting in the lion longer than the other paladins did, just hoping it would work) he supported keith and pushed him into stepping into his new role.
the rest of the song is a lot more aggressive and i don’t think it fits keith and lance’s feelings towards each other. like even early season klance doesn’t have the same hatred as in the song but the bridge will always be lance to me
Dive In

PEAK ROMANCE‼️ i don’t have a lot of reason for this one but being tattoo ink in someone’s skin is like being with someone forever. it makes me think of the permanent scarring there were left with by the end of the series (keith’s face scar after returning to voltron and lance’s altean marks in the finale)

this is not really based on any canon content. keith and lance are so deeply intertwined with each other without even knowing it. platonic or romantic, they care about each other. and i have very much think this insane devotion in this song feels like klance core

this always makes me think of when keith and lance get separated. especially when keith leaves voltron, he’s still with lance (especially bc i like to think about keith leaving lance with his red lion, giving lance a little piece of him). this can so be post-canon klance because i know they are still thinking about each other even though they’re off doing their own things

even despite any fighting, bickering, and disputes, keith and lance always care about each other, wanting them to be able to work together as a team. especially with black paladin keith!!! lance is always trying to make things work because he’s passionate about voltron’s success (and by further extension, wanting keith to be a good leader)

vic fuentes “think i’ve finally won” is in reference to being able to settle down with his wife. and so like i think about this as klance. by the end of the series, they both got their ending (i don’t like lance’s ending i fear) but they actually are “winning” when they are together
