#SYNOPSIS- general headcanon of yandere academy Kakashi

As years go by and friendship progresses, the demise of his father suicide happened. It had struck grief and shame in his core, his own father brought shame into their home, forsaken the name of the Hatakes. Many people blamed his father for the start of the upcoming third shinobi war. It was during those years where his personality had taken a huge one eighty degree counter clockwise. He had prioritied missions over comrades, listing off every rule he learned in the rulebook.

He had drifted off from your friendship resulting in you befriending others to fill that empty spot. You were intoxicating to be around with, an aura that drew people in. Which is exactly what drew Óbito Uchiha into your world. Kakashi was furious and enraged when he found out. How could someone like you hang out with an untalented dead weight brat like him? Who has a silly dream of becoming hokage? Kakashi would be far much suited for that title even if he didn’t want it.

At first Kakashi would only watch from afar. Hesitant to talk to you again, after what his father has done would you willingly be his friend again? But at last Kakashi came back into your life, little by little. Crawling back quietly without a hint of suspicion. He’s defensive when it comes to you, quick to come to your aid and slip in jabs whenever Óbito comes in the picture. He possessive of you, always by your side; ready to drive those close to you away. And yet Óbito stayed no matter how hard Kakashi tried to get rid of him.

Yet with his early graduation he couldn’t be by your side as much as he wanted to. Being the apprentice of a remarkable shinobi he couldn’t stay by you like he wanted too. Instead he’ll follow you home once his training was done or when he was given a break for his hard work. Scenting and rubbing his pheromones in every creak of your apartment. It was his duty as your future mate to ward off any suitors who have funny ideas to court you. Small talk here and there but at last it wasn’t enough to fulfill him. So imagine his surprise when you end up being part of his team, he was ecstatic to be your side. He wouldn’t have to worry about you being in the front lines all alone. No— you’ll have him. But his dream was shattered, there stood óbito by your side laughing and giggling like he was the love of your life.

It had enraged him, every little perk of yours was always met with blushing cheeks and twinkling eyes coming from Óbito. Not only that but it seemed as if you were a second choice to óbito— anyone could see the love struck look óbito would give to Rin. It’s like he didn’t know who to choose. No— If it we’re up to him you’ll be the only female in his life. Not some second choice. But he supposes it’s for the best. For once in his life he couldn’t help but want to thank Rin for existing. He would gladly take you away from Óbito while he would be distracted by Rin. The thought of you finally being his had him giddy by the end of the day.

But his happiness didn’t last much longer. Much came the faithful mission of destroying the Kanani Bridge resulting in the death of his teammate Óbito. He was heartbroken seeing you leave with Óbito to save Rin. But he couldn’t leave you with someone who couldn’t even protect himself. So he ventured off with you and Óbito. It was the day he gained a new eye and a new nindo. He vowed to protect you and Rin for the sake of upholding Óbitos wish and his own feelings. Yet, he wasn’t feeling much sorrow when Óbito died. Somewhere deep down he was glad Óbito died, he was finally removed from the picture and he’ll have you all to himself. Sure it had made him feel horrible inside but it was all bearable whenever he would look at you.
