i got literal chills when annabelle explained how the web used the tapes and jon's voice to cast a line out into other dimensions. that's a very subtle way to break the 4th wall and one that adds an extra level of fear to the listening experience. the magnus archives is a podcast distributed by rusty quill, but it is also a lure. a line cast into our dimension by the web. a pathway for the fear entities to follow through to this dimension, should jon and the others decide to remove them from theirs. i'm now not only invested in what happens to these characters, i'm also invested in their choices because of the implication that they will affect me, the listener. 10/10 good horror, very creepy. would listen again.
"I see"
"Be seeing you"
There's a joke about an eye roll in here somewhere...
Please have 8.5 minutes of (some of) my favorite Martin moments because I!! Love him with My Whole Being!!! jonny sims could not have more custom tailored a character for me if i had asked
new TBI headcanon: jonny, tim, ashes and brian were sharing the cell right next door. lyfrassir chose not to speak to them because there’s nothing in the universe that would make that experience worth it
i wasnt gonna do this but someone on youtube made a comment about it
the martin 'knife' blackwood jokes hit a little different now
So, just finished the Penumbra Podcast episode 18
the magnus archives au where everything is the same except instead of “the eye watches, and the stranger conceals, but me... i lie, archivist”, michael says “grass grows, birds fly, sun shines, and brotha, i hurt people” like the scout in tf2
It starts like this...and then you grow attached to the fucker.
