I don't know if it's just me but I feel like an animatic of Michael with the song entropy would rock. I also feel like it sort of matches his character even down to some of the lyrics.

i am not usually one to repost my tweets and i dont know if tumblr is into chappell roan but i thought this needed sharing (ALSO since i originally drafted this post i went to sleep and woke up with this tweet having over 1000 likes)

Artworks of michael distortion and michael shelley in the same image often draw the former intimidating/enfolding the latter. But that’s not it at all, is it? They’re one and the same, yet mutually unrecognizable to each other. The distortion did not prey on michael shelley, he was fed to it and it was bound to him. And once it became clear it would not escape unscathed, it did not want him. Michael shelley was never even meant for the spiral at all, and it shows in how it acts as a distortion. If anything, the intimidating factor above the hapless human should be gertrude robinson, not any facet of something that could be called michael in some capacity

Breaking away from my usual phighting posting for once to drop this thing I made :3!

Anyways I’ve been listening to the magnus archives lately and oh my god. Him. Michael distortion my beloved,,,, I like NEVER draw people LMAOOOO so this was a bit difficult but getting to mess around with the colors and expressions was really really fun,,, also dw about me dropping ohighting anytime soon because now I’m working on a TMA phighting au EHEHEHEHEHEHEHE

Imagine if the distortion’s hallways respond to the person trapped in them, but in different ways

Door (pre-michael): automatic and pretty fast. Just root out the things the victim finds most unnerving and change form to echo that

Michael: it’s still automatic, but the part of michael that is something sort of like a “who” keeps being surprised by the hallway shapes it’s currently in. Not surprised enough to react, especially not after years of being michael, but still “huh, that’s a new one”

Helen: no longer automatic, but a lot more precise. Human-helen’s experience with real estate means she’s seen a lot of buildings and talked a lot of strangers into buying those buildings at a higher price than maybe they should have sold for. She makes sure that the design of the corridors is optimized in a way the distortion never quite bothered with

As much as i love ruminating on michael, i also love helen, because i see her as being the best of both human and spiral, able to use everything she has from both experiences in a way “existence tied to its pointlessness” michael never really could

So is michael like aware of its body like if it gets a few extra bones in its hands mid-handshake or if its eyes shift just a few hues warmer is it aware of that. Or is its perception of the flesh suit so fucked up and spirally that its awareness doesnt really go beyond “it exists, sometimes”
