”Okay fine, Pheonix! I admit it!”
Pheoness exclaims, tugging on the sheets of the trailer’s pull up couch nervously. Pheonix raises an eyebrow mischievously. He knows what he talks about, but he’s waited too long not to poke a little fun at her. “I’m sorry. What are you admitting?” He feigned innocence “PHEONIX!” She muttered, her face getting hot. “I…might like Reginald…m-more than platonically….” Pheonix smirked “Please speak up. I can’t hear you!” “ OH MY GOODNESS PHEONIX! I. LIKE. REGINALD!” She admits, covering her mouth in shock when she realizes her volume. Pheonix bursts out laughing, the sound adorable and sweet with an hint of sneakiness. “That’s all I wanted to hear.” Pheonix takes a seat next to her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder “Soooooo when am I gonna plan the wedding?” “WEDDING WHA- PHEONIX! WE’RE PROBABLY NOT EVEN GONNA DATE! Remember, agency rules and all….” Pheonix shrugs “Girl, we have almost burned HQ down multiple times. When have we ever listened to the rules?” “No, Pheonix. You don’t understand…” She stands up, pacing back and forth while rubbing her temples. “When we’re doing our chaotic stunts, management can only blame US. If….my relationship with him is anything more than platonic, it could get him in trouble and probably even fired. I know he loves his job, so I’m not going to interrupt that because of some…stupid emotions.” She put on a fake smile, trying to change the subject “Let’s just get the briefcase to HQ, I’ll drive.” “Awh, no fair! You drove last time!” He pouted “Well, I don’t trust you driving! You were 70 miles over the speed limit and laughing like a maniac while you did so!” Pheonix mumbles in frustration from the back seat as Pheoness starts the car.
The van suddenly got darker, even in the front seat. “Pheonix, what did I tell you about playing with the lights?!” But all that responded was a strangled series of coughs from him and a weak “-Pheoness…”. This…wasn’t the lights. She didn’t realize her lungs were filling with smoke. She too starts coughing uncontrollably, trying to find the source of the smoke. It was no use, the smoke was so thick, burning her eyes so she couldn’t even see a foot in front of her. Her leg makes contact with an unknown object, making her body slam in the floor and her chin hitting what she thinks was a table. She couldn’t tell if it was from the smoke or the fall that made her vision go black.
The next thing she remembered, she’s in her old office. Each wall and crevice was so familiar, even the desk, which was piled with delicious food and wine. She tried calling out to Pheonix, but there was no response, not even on her earpiece. Thank goodness Reginald was connected “Oh, agent. You’re awake!” She heard his voice through the earpiece “Reginald, what happened?! There was a bunch of smoke and-“ “Oh, agent. Everything’s fine. You and Pheonix got the briefcase here and that’s all that matters…” She looks at the food, desperately wanting to eat it, but has trust issues when it comes to food due to the chocolate cake incident. She carefully took a sip of the wine, making completely sure it wasn’t poison before chugging it. Honestly, she really needed that right now. Despite everything, nothing explains what happened in the van and it didn’t sit right with her. She looked through some of the drawers, realizing one that couldn’t open “Oh, no. That’s not important, agent.” She raised an eyebrow “Reggie, it’s MY desk. Are you feeling okay?” “Perfectly fine. Why?” Pheoness sighs “There’s something off about you, if something’s wrong you can tell me, you know that, right-?” Pheoness says but was rudely interrupted by Reginald “Yes, yes, I know agent.” He scoffs in an annoyed tone. Now, she knew something was up. Reginald wouldn’t cut her off even if he was pissed. She opens the drawer with a knife that was on the table. In it was a clipboard and a lighter. The clipboard, written in neat red ink, is a checklist, talking about a stage set. “Reginald, how did I get here..?” Her eyes narrowed suspiciously at the clipboard. “The smoke grenade wasn’t filled of poison gas so I was able to get you two to the agency.” Her eyes widened as an eerie silence filled the air.
“I didn’t mention a smoke grenade.”
She uses her telekinesis to move the once sturdy agency logo on her wall, but now, it was flimsily made of cardboard. “You’re not telling me something..?” She growls, hiding her overwhelming anxiety. What’s wrong with the man she cared for and loved? Did they kidnap him? Torture him to do this? She couldn’t imagine Reginald being like this………unless……this wasn’t Reginald. Her muscles tensed in anger at the realization. This safety and security was all just a mere mirage. She grips the lighter tightly, lighting anything she could on fire. To her surprise, there was a camera pointing at her where the agency logo was. Instead of Reginald being shocked or dumbfounded, his voice sounded smug
“Looks like someone’s connecting the dots.”
“And cut! That. Was. Perfect.” Before she knew it, a cage of deadly lasers prevented her escape. “Don’t get any ideas, agent. You’re not going anywhere.” Reginald’s voice started distorted, mutating into another familiar voice. The one and only John Juniper. The walls of the room started to separate, revealing she was in the middle of a theatrical set. Pheonix was also bound by a laser cage next to her. In a panel above her was the cocky actor, who was wearing the mimic mask. He was staring down at her intently as if she was a mere cockroach. “Hey, agents. Not a bad impression of your handler, huh? There’s a reason I won all of those awards.” Pheonix stifles a giggle “What awards? Most likely to have a temper tantrum?” Even through they were in a terrible situation, they still laughed at Juniper, the person who literally holding them hostage. “How dare! I do not have temper tantrums!” He retorted “The little party we crashed proved otherwise…” Pheoness snickers “SHUT UP! Oh, and for your information Pheeeoness..” he snarled, emphasizing the e in her name. “I did not mean to flirt with you at the party.” He shuddered at the word ‘flirt’ “Ew, that’s the one time other than the yacht incident that I regret being drunk. You got lucky your little boyfriend was there to save you. This time, you don’t have that privilege” Her heart sank at the mention of Reginald “Where is he? HE BETTER BE OKAY!” His tone went back to his familiar smugness “Don’t worry, cupcake. All you need to know is that he’s at OUR will now…..You know, I never got to do a classic villain monologue. And what do I have, but a captive audience!” He then rants about how he joined Zoraxis for the role of a lifetime and his whole typical villain arc. Pheoness loves it when Reginald and Pheonix rants to her, but Juniper doing it gave her the opposite feeling. She tried to use her telekinesis to take a fork to poke his eye, but he the panel he was in was surrounded in glass. He was still pissed at her for trying, though. “I see…you just wanna skip to the part where you die! Well, fine!”
“Lights, camera, aaaaand ACTION!”

Hehe
Agent Pheoness wanted me to tell you that she was thinking of signing the lighter adoption papers>:3
"Can she do that?? Like legally?? I'm 28, a full grown adult so I don't know if that's like..???"
“A small shot glass.”
Kai is wandering around the place, probably lost again, and finds an office with a door slightly open. He stops for a moment, considering just going about his day, but (being the slightly nosy person he is) decides some friendly conversation couldn't hurt.
He pushes the door open, "Anyone in here?"
@agent--shadow
”Who’s there?” Pheoness remarks, leaning back on her favorite spinney chair
(Nothing really happens in Jet Set or Eaves drop besides the two getting into some chaos and Pheoness getting poisoned by the death by chocolate)
Warnings: Violence, alcohol use
The duo were FINALLY able to sneak into the Wine cellar of Juniper’s mansion. The gathering in the ballroom was so lively that even a few floors under they could hear muffled chatter and music. “I told you it was on the bottom floor! The Wine cellars are ALWAYS on the bottom floor!” Pheoness scoffed “Well how was I supposed to know?! If this dang mansion was put in the sea, people would mistake it for a whale!” Pheonix retorted back. The two bickered like young siblings until a swift fist to the face sent Pheonix stumbling backwards. Pheoness quickly grabbed the figure’s wrist, flinging them into the ground. The person on a ground was a man who looked like he was in 40s. His almost pitch black eyes were filled with malice. “You two…” he hissed before sending a kick to Pheoness’s stomach. She yelped in pain and her grip on him loosened, allowing him to escape from her grasp. The strange man started bolting to the exit before Pheonix tackled him to the ground with a loud ‘thud’. Pheoness, recovering from the last blow, helps pin his arms down. The man was flailing around vigorously like an vicious cat, occasionally shouting for Juniper. If he got to loud or was able to escape, their whole cover would be blown. Fortunately, a good punch in the noggin from Pheonix knocked him unconscious. Pheoness, coughing softly, fist bumped Pheonix “Good work, kid.” She panted, clearly out of breath. “Put him in the box.” She points to a large crate in the middle of the wine chamber. The two slowly drag the unconscious body in the crate, making it near impossible to escape. Pheonix locks the main door of the wine cellar, barricading it well. He let out a slight wince in pain as the adrenaline started wearing off and clutched the eye that was slugged. Noticing this, Pheoness took his face gently in her hands, examining it. “You should probably get that eye checked out after this, it’s blackening already. That guy had a nasty left hook.” She said before letting go of his face. “I can’t really see out of it..” Pheonix admits sheepishly as he wraps a spare napkin around his swelled up eye like an eyepatch. “Reginald? We’re fine. We just had a quick….interruption.” Pheonix spoke into his earpiece “PHEONESS! DONT DO THAT!” He took an eye off of her for five seconds and she was chugging a bottle of wine with a tag that said “Juniper hated it.” wrapped around its top. “Screw Juniper, this is delicious.” She muttered, using her telekinesis to pass him another bottle “Take a drink yourself and we’ll get on with this mission.” Pheonix sighed and took the bottle, taking a swig of it.
“Gibson!” A familiar voice yelled through the communication systems. “Get me my regular with two glasses! And quickly!” Junipers voice had a hint of aggression and weariness to it. He was in a bad mood for sure, probably due to Pheonix ransacking through the Fabricator’s office. They take the two glass cups and put it in the transporter. Pheoness is tempted to put the bottle she was drinking in the chute to purposely annoy Juniper for the poisoned cake, but decided not to. It would probably blow their cover anyways. “Pheonix, this one has a tag that says ‘Be careful: last bottle.’ You think this could be it?” Pheonix examines the bottle carefully “It’s probably our best bet.” They put the bottle in the chute and send it to the ballroom, praying that it was the correct bottle. The silence was agonizing before they heard Juniper’s voice again “Thanks, Gibs. I needed this..” He sighs, a little calmer than usual before clearing his throat and reverting to his harsh tone “I need the mimic mask. Now.” The mimic mask! It’s somewhere in here, but where? The two search and drink, and search, but for once in their life, there were no clues. Juniper grew very impatient, sometimes even shouting into the intercom. “I don’t get it! We search every inch of this place, where is that mimic mask!?” She exclaimed, defeat was familiar to her before she met her found family, but this was the first time she felt it afterwards. Pheonix frowns softly when seeing her depressed state. He noticed that guy who attacked them, who they now know as Gibson, dropped his hat when they were fighting. The agent put it on his head, imitating the servant. Pheoness is confused by his goofy display, she cracks a smile, laughing softly. Phoenix accidentally dropped the hat, which the two didn’t mind, but they soon found out on the inside was a hidden paper, it was finally the clue they needed. “Yes!” She shouted “Now, let’s figure out what this-“ Pheoness’s joy was quickly replaced with fear as they heard an aggressive knock on the door. “Hey, Gibs! Is that girl dancer with you? We haven’t seen her and she’s supposed to preform in 10!” The two looked at each other, internally panicking. What were they supposed to do?! If they don’t respond, whoever’s behind the door would get suspicious. Pheoness sighs defeatedly, her heart pounding while she takes off her jacket, her white undershirt being revealed. “Stay out of sight.” She whispers to Pheonix before walking to the door, getting a bottle of wine as she does. Pheonix knew she has a plan, but what was it? Pheoness opens the door slightly, putting a strand of hair to cover her left eye. She is met by one of Juniper’s security and she tries to imitate the Fabricators accent. “Why, sorry. I just had to have a drink before I preform, it’s only tradition.” She purrs “Well, cmon, follow me. You need to change into your dress.” The security guard commands walking to the ballroom. She disconnects her earpiece so the sound of Reginald’s voice won’t blow her cover. “WHAT ARE YOU -?!” Phoenix exclaimed in a hushed whisper. “Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing. Find the mimic mask and get the briefcase.” She replied before following the security guard to the dressing room. Turns out, Pheoness can be an actress herself.
The dressing room was filled with beautiful outfits and garments. They looked extremely expensive as well, typical Juniper. An older woman was in the room “Oh, there you are! And I thought you weren’t going to show!” As soon as the woman started speaking, Pheoness instantly knew who it was. None other than the Fabricator herself! Pheoness had to hide her shock, for this is the first time seeing her in person. “Well, come now. Get into your dress. I still need to put your makeup on.” Dresses and heels weren’t really her style, but she couldn’t lie, her outfit was absolutely gorgeous. It was a blue satin dress, embedded with sapphires at her waist and hips. It was hard not to trip in it, but she had to admit she digs the new look. As the Fabricator was gently applying makeup to her face, Pheoness spoke up in a slight accent, since she had to hide her voice “Fabricator…is it normal to feel like you’re about to throw up your intestines before preforming?” The Fabricator let out a soft chuckle “Of course, dear. You just got a little stage fright, that’s all. I promise, you’re going to kill it out there.” She nods as The Fabricator steps back to admire her work “You look beautiful, darling. Absolutely stunning.” Pheoness looks down at herself, she’s never worn anything different from her regular suit and pants, but she doesn’t mind it. “Let’s get you out there..” She says, intertwining her arm with Pheoness’s. For being an evil genius, The Fabricator’s surprisingly more sweet and caring than she thought. Before they knew it, they were backstage, the ballroom mere feet ahead of them. The woman could feel her trembling at the mere sight of the crowd and her breathing growing unsteady. Pheoness just wanted to sneak back to Pheonix. She never asked for this. She felt The Fabricators other hand gently caresses her arm “It’s okay, dear. You’re alright. Take a deep breath. Here.” She places a blue mask in Pheoness’s hand, similar to the one she saw on Juniper’s jet, just without the x-ray vision. “Your own finishing touch, just let the rhythm of the music flow through you.” Pheoness’s muscles slightly loosen but she’s still shaking with nervousness as the lights of the ballroom fade into darkness. “That’s your cue, go get em.” As if it were some sort of nightmare, there she was. On the main stage of the ballroom, with the blinding spotlight on her, all eyes were on her and only her.
(It might be a day or two before I post the next part cause there’s gonna be like 3 or 4 parts:/
A few minutes later
Worker on the P.A: will a Reginald Crane come pick up their child at the front desk?
*the gang goes shopping*
Reginald: okay, Phoenix, no wandering off. In order to keep you out of trouble, one of us will be holding your hand at all times so you can't leave.
Phoenix: *looking down at both of their empty hands ten minutes later when everyone else got distracted and walked away* ... Hm...
Phoenix: *slips away from the group so quietly no one notices* a shadow in the night.
Kai gives a weak chuckle, "same here, I suppose." And he takes the cup, trying to make his brain let go of its restless anxieties and guilt as he takes a sip.
“Hey, it makes people like us tougher.” She chugs another bottle of wine
Since tomorrow is the start of Handler week, I want to try to make a decision for something I’ve been thinking about. My brain has been hyper focused on my fav OTP (Reginald x Pheoness) I want to maybe make some art for them but I don’t have artist block. Any ideas how I could draw these cuties?
(Sorry I haven’t posted in what feels like forever. I’m running on the little motivation I have left and a buncha caffeine)
Notes: This chapter is a little time skip from the last one. We’re in rising Phoenix now:0
⚠️Warnings⚠️: elevataphobia, blood, gun violence, mentions of incineration and death
Alarms are ringing throughout the building, indicating that Juniper’s plan is near its end. Pheoness can feel her friend squeeze her hand, her own trembling just the slightest bit as the elevator begins to ascend “Hey, we’re gonna be okay, kid.” She nudges him “Are you sure…? I mean if we fail this. It’s not just us that die, probably the whole agency will be under siege and-“ “Woah, woah. Calm down. Reginald doesn’t need another traumatized mess…” Pheoness puts an arm around his shoulder and ruffles its hair “We’ve stopped a laser of death while in space, while a pretty science lady was trying to kill us with radiation! I think we can handle one, annoying actor-“
As she’s about to finish her sentence, the sound of gunshots whistle through the elevator, causing small bullet holes. They could feel a halt in the elevator’s path of motion. “Agents, are you okay?!” Reginald’s voice from the earpiece exclaims, not even attempting to concede the hint of worry and panic. “We’re fine, Reggie…” Pheoness sighs, trying to loosen her muscles from their tensed position caused by the scare. “But this elevator isn’t working anymore…” Phoenix opened the elevator panel, a faulty battery leaping out of it. The electricity from the battery caused a small fire in the carpet of the elevator. “PHEONIX WHAT DID WE SAY ABOUT TOUCHING THINGS!” Pheoness frantically steps of the flame, putting it out. “Sorry…” Phoenix sheepishly shrugs while looking at the elevator panel. “It definitely looks busted though…” Their heads jolt up as the elevator doors open, revealing the base of the nuke Zoraxis was planning to launch, along with a containment area. Muttered voices came from the entrapped center, they were oddly familiar but neither of them could put their finger on it. “Hold down the fort here…” she says, swinging off the elevator to an assortment of levers. She gripped a taser from nearby, just in case whoever was in there was dangerous. Perspiration from her palms left a small mark as she slowly pulled the lever down, opening one of the doors. After a few seconds of agonizing silence, an older woman peeks her head out of the door, fear evident on her face. It was one of the heads of state that Juniper was impersonating. She chuckled internally at the fact that Juniper had to impersonate women too, wondering how he would look in a dress…….Never mind that. She needed to stick to the tasks at hand “Go, I’ll release the other heads of state. When I do, tell them they need to get out of here.” The prime minister nodded, speaking in a heavy African accent “I will, thank you dearly, agent.” After she’s out of sight, she pulls the other three levers, letting all the other Heads of State escape. Taking one last look at the structure of the nuke, she realized Zor’s plan. Once they launched the nuke, the hot exhaust from it would incinerate the Prime Minister’s which were below it. “Disgusting.” Reginald growls “Zor is as cunning as they are evil.” Pheoness nods “Agreed.” How glad she is to foil Zor’s plan. As she was about to return to Phoenix, a loud thud made her jump and pull out her taser again, only to realize it was a power storing box. Her face dropped as she found out it was on empty. This was just what they needed if they could find power.
“PHEONESS, A LITTLE HELP HERE?!”
The amount of alarm in Pheonix’s voice sent adrenaline throughout her body, shoving the box in her arm and hopping up to the elevator. All Phoenix could do was point at the saw-blade above them that was brutally slicing through the elevator cords. “That Box…here…gimme it.” She passes him the power storing container. Using the alligator clips to connect them to similar attachments on the saw. It drained the energy from the machine till the saw was at a complete stop. “Never fail to surprise me….” Pheoness laughs, pulling back the clips in awe and connecting them to the elevator. The energy from the saw blade machine powering the elevator as it made its way up to the top floor. She peers around the elevator, tools scattered everywhere. “W..what’s all this…?” Pheoness gestures to the tools lying around “I found em. You never know when they’ll come in handy!” Phoenix responded with a smile, but it soon disappeared as they heard the voice they were oh so used to hearing.
All of the times Juniper betrayed them, attempted to trick them, to kill them. The memories linger in the back of their minds every time they hear the smooth purr of his voice and this time was no different. As they ascended higher and higher, his words became more clearer, more condescending. The two intertwined hands once again. They will face the enemy that plagued them. Together. The elevator doors open slowly, reluctant to show them the one, the only John Juniper. Standing on a metal bridge over the nuke. He hasn’t noticed them yet, his back turned as he gives his passionate speech to the millions of terrified people watching him. It wasn’t until the elevator bell dinged, that he turned around. His eyes narrowed in hatred, but also astonishment as he clutched the sacred suitcase in his hand “How did you…” He sighs, aggravated “Sorry, folks. I need to take care of something.” He suddenly pulls out a pistol from his pocket and starts shooting at them. Fortunately, they’re able to reflect most of his shots off the scattered tools from the floor. However, one pierces through Phoenix’s arm and he lets out a pained yell; blood spilling from the wound. They were in a terrible spot, only being able to deflect Juniper’s bullets “Why. Won’t. You. DIE?!” John shouts. Pheoness covered her injured friend “Don’t worry, kid. I could take another bullet for you.” She said, her voice strained from the pressure of the bullets going through whatever items she held up for protection. Even though the agonizing pain in his arm, Phoenix found something he couldn’t resist, a big, red, lever. “Kid?! What are you doing?!”
Impulsiveness getting to him, he used his TK to pull down the lever. Like clockwork, the bridge that Juniper was standing on began to separate. The unsuspecting Juniper began to teeter on the bridge lost his balance. His fingers desperately clinging onto the ledge for dear life “W-woah, Agents!” For the first time ever, his voice was cocky or arrogant, he was vulnerable. Scared. It kind of worried them despite him being their enemy “You don’t want me, you want Zor! I can tell you who Zor is! It’s-“ The only voice that’s scarier than Juniper’s becomes audible. Zor’s. “Is the cowardly actor trying to save his skin?” Juniper’s voice converted to its normal, annoying tone “Hah! What’re you gonna do to me?! I’m the one running things now!” Zor chuckles eerily, their voice a malicious tone “Mr, Juniper. You were never running the show. Fabricator? If you will…?” The Fabricator walks onto the ledge Juniper was standing on with a remote in hand. Her gentle, motherly smile Pheoness saw in the wine cellar completely replaced with a heartless smirk. “Bye, bye John.” With a push of a button, Fabricator uses his precious mimic mask against him, giving him a series of electric shocks. Junipers body tenses up as he screams in agony. His fingers finally slipped off the edge, making him plummet to the ground. The agents look with wide eyes as Fabricator turns her head in their direction, her eyes landing on Pheoness “Good luck, darling.” She said in a sweet tone before she exited the building. Pheoness really wanted to believe she was being genuine. But that look on her face said otherwise. Her thoughts were broken by Reginald “Agents! The briefcase!” And there it was. The briefcase that Juniper protected with his life, now lied on the platform without a carrier. Phoenix obtained it with his TK. When opened, a series of puzzles were inside, and a timer that was ticking down. 10 minutes till the nuke was launched “Phee-Phee…I..only have one working arm left..you have to do it…” Her eyes widened as she looks at the first puzzle, inspecting it carefully. After a second, she twists it to make a Z shape…one puzzle done, 2 more to go. The next one was harder, she had to hit the right series of buttons. All sounds were muffled, even the voice of the agent next to her. The only thing she could hear was the throbbing in her head, the sound of her shaky breaths, and every beep that signaled she was another second close from the end. 6 minutes…she pushed every button, each lighting up a certain set of lights, her hands shaking with every press. 5 minutes… “Pheoness, 8 o clock and 1 o clock!” She hears throughout the cluttered mess of her mind. She presses the button positioned at 8 o clock and 1 o clock, lighting up all the lights and successfully completing the second puzzle. One last puzzle Pheoness…you can do this….3 minutes left. In this last puzzle she had to slide a dial through every light without repetition. 2 minutes….the adrenaline was so intense it made her feel dizzy. Sliding the dial left, right, up, down. Every move could de ide the fate of the world. She had to do this. Everyone was relying on it. Just. Keep. Moving.
“YES!”
She was able to solve the last puzzle with a minute remaining. The big red abort button like an oasis in a desert of pain and death. Her ears start to take in the other sounds, one being the sound of Reginald’s delighted laughs “You did it, Agents!” Her breathing starts to stabilize, looking at Phoenix, who had an overjoyed look on his exhausted face. He holds his finger out, just brushing against the button. “Together?”
Pheoness nods “Together.”
And they both press the button, relieved that this could finally end.
…….but no end came

I realized I haven’t been focusing on ieytd as much as I should due to another hyper fixation I’m so sooooooo sorry. Im still on tumblr and I’m still working on all y’all’s amazing posts!
(Btw you could’ve guessed the hyperfixation was Sander Sides related…)
I have done it
I have obtained the Teensy Reginald Crane. He’s such a smoll lil guy. When I showed him his new home, he got attached to my kitten
Like….really attached
After a few hours of chasing my new buddy around while he was riding my cat, we had to go do some errands. It was very rainy outside but fortunately, teensy Reginald loves the rain, watching it that is
Unfortunately, I had to leave Teensy Reginald at home so I could go to school and…wait…why is my pencil case moving…?
REGINALD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! YOU CANT BE AT SCHOOL! Fine, just don’t let people see you, okay?
His favorite class is theater class because he could talk to me all period! He sure loves ranting about things, but I wouldn’t have him any other way💛
We finally survived class and got home to watch back to the future. The lil guy loved the movie! And he looks so comfy!!!
I love going on new adventures with my new best friend Teensy Reginald Crane!
Your style for Reginald is so. Dang. Adorable! I love him so much and he shall be protected. (Btw I stole him, he is mine now and I will give him as much sleep and headpats he requires:)💛
i’m so glad you like my interpretation of our favorite handler!! take good care of him. he could probably use the sleep…
Warnings: Blood, gun violence, canonical death, trauma
The smell of hand sanitizer lingered in the air as Pheoness regained her senses. One of her hands gripped at the fabric of the mattress and the sound of slow beeping was muffled in her ears. As her vision became clearer, it was evident where she was. Bad memories flooded her brain, causing her breathing to become unsteady. She wanted to run and hide, but her broken body wouldn’t let her. She heard the ER’s rhythmic beeps speeding up as she struggled. “Hey, hey, it’s okay…thank goodness you’re alive….” That soothing voice along with a gentle grip on her hand anchored her to reality. She looked at her hand, which was intertwined into a slightly larger one. “I’m right here, agent….” She turns her head toward her Handler, just him being there helped her calm down. Though, he seemed less than alright. His hair was a mess and his eyes were bloodshot with small trails running down his cheek. She didn’t care anymore that they were “breaking protocol” and caressed his hand gently with her thumb, the pad of her finger rubbing against his calloused knuckles. “Reginald…W..what happened…?” He smiled softly when he heard her voice “You don’t remember anything from last night?” He responded. Pheoness clutched her head, groaning. “The last thing I remember were setting off those mines.” “Well, it was a long day for you…If I’m being honest, I thought-“ his voice slightly falter, cracking slightly until his voice is a small whimper “Me and Pheonix didn’t think you’d make it.” This only makes her give his hand a gentle squeeze “Hey, I’m okay…just…tell me what happened after..please…you know I love it when you tell stories…”
Reginald’s lips slightly curve upwards “After you left to meet Phoenix, it wasn’t long after the security found out I was from the agency. I came sprinting to the wine cellar and was finally safe with you guys. But…I accidentally led them to you. I didn’t mean to…I…think that you being here, it’s all my fault….” She shushes him while he was rambling “I bet whatever happened wasn’t your fault..now go on…” she couldn’t help it. The smooth sound of his voice, the feel of his skin under hers, maybe affection WAS something she was missing out on all her life. “Well…” Reginald continued “He found you guys and after they found out the door was locked and barred-“ Reginald’s voice slowly fades as she starts to remember, how could she ever forget.
“Just shoot the agent! A-ARE YOU WEARING MY MASK?!” Juniper shouted through the door. Pheoness realized she kept The Fabricator’s mask on “Oh, THIS?!” She mocked him, dangling the mask and making SURE he could see it “Thanks for this and the briefcase, but you’re not getting either of them back.” John Juniper let out a furious grumbled and muttered out “You know what to do…” Without a moments notice, she saw a laser aimed at Pheonix “Pheonix watch out!” She called, but certain he could dodge. He’s smart enough to see the obvious laser pointed at him “What do you mean?” Pheonix asked with a raised eyebrow. She stands corrected. Then she remembered: his eye. He couldn’t see out of his left eye due to their tussle with Gibson. Acting on instinct, she shoved Pheonix out of the way, but as she just made contact with him, she heard the loud BANG of the gunshot followed by the agonizing sound of teared flesh. A breathless gasp escaped her as she looked down. Her beautiful dress was now torn at her stomach with blood gushing down the skirt as her body violently met the cold ground. Reginald’s horrified scream was a deaf ring to her ears, for all she could sense was the pain in her core. She knew if she even moved a little bit, her body would shut down. The only thing other than pain was the feel of Reginald’s warm tears on the sleeve of her arm “Close the hatch!” She faintly heard Pheonix shout before a loud explosion vibrated the floor she was now motionless on. Her heart was slowly pumping, doing anything to keep on beating. Her vision blurred and for a while, her vision was completely stripped from her, so she had to rely on her hearing to sense what was happening, which was extremely hard because all she heard was shrill cries and shouts and the faint pattering of feet. When her vision finally became somewhat clearer, she could faintly make out Reginald’s face, the look of despair shimmering in his tear filled eyes, “A…agent…please…everyone needs you…y-you can’t leave now…” she could faintly hear him beg in a broken voice and it forced burning tears into her eyes. Pheonix was also crying, trying to stifle the blood flow from her with no avail. She could hear their sniffles and soft whimpers and then…
She could hear nothing at all
She saw her dead, bloody body. The lifeless stare in her eyes as her found family clutched her unmoving corpse. “No…No…guys..I’m not dead…I’m right here…I’m coming..” she says, about to touch her body when a firm grip squeezed at her arm “And what do you think you’re doing?” A familiar voice called out, she looked behind her to see that familiar, faceless silhouette she saw back at the theater “Leave me alone. I want to see my family again. I don’t want them to think I died.” She admitted “And how long are you gonna keep doing this?! What happens till these mortals who aren’t as lucky as you die as well?!” The figure commanded “Listen, I just need a few more tries, the world needs me….I can’t just die…” the figure lets go of her arm “Fine, but you can’t keep doing this…one day I’m bound to obtain you and your mortal friends.” She nodded, hearing one last thing before returning to her mortal body
“Just know you can’t keep running from your problems forever, Alyna.”
“And that’s what happened. Pheonix stayed at your side for a long time but he finally went home.” Reginald’s voice found its way in her mind again as he ended his story. Of course he doesn’t know about that last part, and no one could know about it. Not him, not Pheonix. But she did want to tell him about why she was so scared, so she does. Informing him about her past and why she was so distant to him and Pheonix at first. He listened intently to her, hanging onto every word she said.
“I see…you’re a tough one, yknow that? Stubborn at times, but tough.” He said when she finished, resting his head against their intertwined hands. “I’m just…glad you’re okay…”
“And I’m glad you’re here, mi grùa.”
Reginald melted at the nickname, letting out a soft sigh. The pet names were definitely new, but not unwanted
“Mi Precioso Fénix..”
