it’s okay to be uncomfortable with dark themes, it’s okay to not like dark themes, it’s okay to not want to be around someone who does like dark themes, but harassing someone over it is bonkers

how do you harass someone over fiction, imply that liking dark themes in fiction = you’ll recreate them in real life, TELL PEOPLE TO KILL THEMSELVES OVER FICTION, and much much more, but still think that you’re the normal ones??

it sucks that people can't stand the idea of SA victims coping using fiction if it doesn't fit the criteria of being repulsed of any and all subjects related to said trauma. you can't cope if the incident is presented in a way that isn't explicitly horrible. if you find comfort in rewriting your trauma, you can't do that either because it has to be bad all the time. you can't redefine what your trauma means, you can't process it in the way you want to, you can't heal because you're "not doing it right."

Underage children should not be on the Internet if they don't know that pedophilia and incest are bad. If a child began to think so because of the content on the Internet, it means that their parents themselves are to blame for not monitoring the content that the child watches.
