I loved this movie as a child. Amalthea was my favorite character, her story was moving to me. Not to mention the unicorns, what little girl didn't love unicorns? Lol š¦
But, I am always dreaming, even when I am awake; it is never finished.
THE LAST UNICORN (1982, Jules Bass and Arthur Rankin Jr.)
This actually is really nice to see. I've met a lot of people who fall for the homeopathic trap, you've got to be mega careful with this stuff.
Rainbow Lepidoptera
The pictures donāt really do it justice but itās the best I can do.
And some close ups of my favorites
At some point when I started this painting I knew what all these butterflies and moths were called but I can only remember a few of them now!
"You can't pin joy like a moth."
Saw this quote by Holly Cassell floating around on here, I don't know the person but I love the sentiment of appreciating fun luxuries in the moment instead of feeling a need to save them for some unknown future time once you feel that it's "earned."
What an amazing woman, and a personal heroine for me. She's part of what made me fall in love with radiation and want to study it. š
"Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less".
"Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained".
"I am one of those who think like Nobel, that humanity will draw more good than evil from new discoveries".
"If I had not been taught chemical analysis by prof. Milicer and dr. Kossakowski in Warsaw, I would not have isolated radium".
"I am among those who think that science has great beauty. A scientist in his laboratory is not only a technician: he is also a child placed before natural phenomena which impress him like a fairy tale".
"Humanity also needs dreamers, for whom the disinterested development of an enterprise is so captivating that it becomes impossible for them to devote their care to their own material profit".
"You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end each of us must work for his own improvement, and at the same time share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be most useful".
"I was taught that the way of progress was neither swift nor easy".
I know what I'm getting soon.
This short book of little squibs from the HDM universe came out a few months ago, but I just got a copy. Note thereās still no title or pub date for book 3 of TBOD
Goodbye Queen Elizabeth. You where an amazing woman, and you inspired me a lot with your life.
I want to wake up, and know that there are tree spirits in the forests. I want to go hike across the countryside and see a fairy circle, and think "that means something." I want to see a rabbit and truly believe it can hear and understand me. I want the northern lights to have some meaning, to be the spirits dancing across the sky, instead of just sun spots.
this is your daily reminder to write that fic! who cares if itās a dying fandom, bring it back to life! who cares if you only have a sentence, youāll get there donāt give up! who cares if itās a self indulgent fic, we love to see it! who cares if itās an overdone trope, youāre making it unique in your writing style! who cares if it takes you a month to write a fic and then you dip, youāre still writing and sharing your work and thatās what matters! who cares if you write for yourself and never post it, youāre still writing and getting your ideas down and that matters just as much as if you posted it! just keep writing, you got this <3
Meal, in the sense of food, comes from the Old English mĒ£l, meaning measure, time, occasion or meal. MĒ£l comes from the Proto-West-Germanic *mÄl of the same meaning, ultimately from the PIE root *mehā- meaning to measure.
Meal, in the sense of the grain, comes from the Old English melu, meaning grain or flour. Melu is derived from the Proto-Germanic *melwÄ , meaning meal or flour, from the PIE *melhā-, meaning to mill or grind.

Okay so on the Pokemon official site they mentioned that fuecoco bathes in the sun to collect fire energy in the big square scales. So I'm thinking that it maybe based partly on solar panels? š¤
Bonus points for it being a cephalopod pokemon.

Neat.
Starting soon I will begin a new (very off and on) project of checking out the āUntold Tales of Spider-Manā anthology book from 1997 and providing my thoughts on each of the prose stories contained within. The book was inspired by the comic book series of the same name back when it was a hot property and was even edited by its author, Kurt Busiek. In fact a few stories in the book were written by comic book alumni.
The agenda reads:
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 01: Side by Side with the Astonishing Ant-Man ā by Will Murray
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 02: After the First Death⦠ā by Tom DeFalco
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 03: Celebrity ā by Christopher Golden and Jose R. Nieto
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 04: Better Looting Through Modern Chemistry ā by John Garcia and Pierce Askegren
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 05: Identity Crisis ā by Michael Jan Friedman
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 06: The Doctorās Dilemma ā by Danny Fingeroth
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 07: Moving Day ā by John S. Drew
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 08: The Liar ā by Ann Nocenti
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 09: Deadly Force ā by Richard Lee Byers
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 10: The Ballad of Fancy Dan ā by Ken Grobe and Steven A. Roman
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 11: Poison in the Soul ā by Glenn Greenberg
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 12: Livewires ā by Steve Lyons
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 13: Arms and the Man ā by Keith R.A. DeCandido
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 14: My Enemy, My Savior ā by Eric Fein
Untold Tales of Spider-Man 15: The Stalking of John Doe ā by Adam-Troy Castro
I will be covering the stories from the audiobook put out by Dreamscape and Audible and copying over the plot synopses from Spiderfan.org to save myself some time.
Hope you enjoy!
Nooo mr osborn dont commit atrocities + random otto doodles

One of my favorite fairy tales as a child!ššš
East Oā the Sun and West Oā the Moon, from Through Fairy Halls of My Bookhouse by Donn P. Crane (1925)
[ image: A mock comic panel of a Pre-Doctor Octopus Otto Octavius, standing in the foreground with a frightened look. A metaphorical mushroom cloud blows up above his head, turning into a red, hazy cloud haloing his head. Behind him, two lab assistants in protective gear look at him, one reaching over to touch his shoulder. The room around him is getting dark. ]
Don't have a meltdown now, Doc!
After considering @alchemicalmothās question (is Steve Roger Ra to Samās Horus?) Iāve decided to rewrite my original premise that Sam Wilson is Horus. Iām so dumb, lol, it was right there all along; Sam is Garuda, and Steve is Vishnu. In this context, the Shield is the spinning Chakram.
Vishnuās snakes represent human desire, and his ability to lay comfortably on them represents hisvictory over temptation. Garuda is also a snake hunter and rules over birds of prey. He represents the struggle between good and evil. The snake is marvelās Hydra, and the struggle is Red Skullās brainwashing. Also notice how Vishnu rests in the waters, where Steve was found encased in ice.
Thanks for your question, moth. It got me thinking š
[ image: a drawing of a young Otto Octavius. He is sitting, turned to the sides with his hands in splayed out in front of him, an eerie, blank look on his face. one of his glasses lenses shows a wide, circular eye, the other a radioactive symbol. the background is an abstract drawing of a nuclear bomb blowing away a city, deep red and orange and black. Otto is colored in a paler orange, but his glasses are deep orange, his pupil and the symbol deep red. ]
Oh... Oh... I see the sky. It's becoming a very very bright red.
