Guys, I just had a great drarry fic idea. So I was watching The Greatest Showman right, and I thought that would be a great drarry AU. P. T. Barnum would be Harry:poor, orphan, great ambitions. Charity would obviously be Draco: blonde, come from old money but gives it up for Harry/Barnum. And Jenny Lind could be Ginny: redhead, loves Harry/Barnum, doesn’t come from much and then becomes famous.

This probably doesn’t make sense but it was just what popped into my head while watching the movie.

Does anyone know if a fic like this already exists? Or if someone would like to write it? Could someone please let me know? It would be greatly appreciated.

48hr tumblr blackout proposal

tumblr mobile has seadily become near unusable these past few updates. not just from a user experience perspective (which is important enough in itself) but also from an accessibility perspective.

examples include the new way the image viewer works (if you can call it "working"), the tumblr live button replacing the profile button, and that newly created blogs will be forced to have their main dashboard tab be the 'for you' page.

the demands of the protest would be along the lines of:

reverse the recent image viewer update

scrap the new users 'for you' page default setting

let us turn off tumblr live indefinitely

increase efforts against spam / porn bots

make reporting abuse and hate speech as easy as reporting as reporting spam

let us go nuts show nuts again... for real this time

commit to improving usability and accessibility, and listening to users!

to protest against these usability issues, and inspired by the recent reddit blackout, i propose a 48 hour blackout (where you don't use tumblr at all). preferably of both mobile and web (since web has problems too) but mobile is the focus here.

I suggest the 48 hours between the 30th of June to the end of the 1st of July.

this marks the end of pride month (for the "queerest place on the internet") and the start of disability month (since accessibility is a massive issue here).

tumblr office is in San Francisco, USA, so the times and dates will be calculated using their time zone (PDT).

Guys I am in a reading stump. I just can’t find a fic to stick to. Can someone please recommend me a fic? I love reading drarry, sterek, merthur, and firstprince. I am especially addicted to drarry ones where Draco is cute and innocent and harry just can’t take it. If anyone can please recommend me a fic it will be very much appreciated.

I'm beyond proud to finally present Mink's official guide to Parseltongue, created with the invaluable help of @creature-of-insomnia . This guide wouldn't be what it is without Ana; I couldn't have done it without her.

We've both worked incredibly hard to develop the Parseltongue language, not only for my story but also for you, dear readers. Now, instead of relying on mindless hissing or made-up words, you have a structured language to use in your fanfictions. The guide draws from the Parseltongue used in the films and is influenced by Greek words. Unlike the existing Parseltongue alphabets I've seen on the internet, which feel unrealistic and are often just based on the English alphabet, as well as entirely too long to be used in actual sentences, we've crafted something authentic and concise — something that can be used naturally in sentences.

It fills me with immense joy to finally share this with you all. I'm incredibly proud of what we've created.

The majority of the spreadsheet is complete, although me and Ana are still working hard on it to be as perfect as it can be.
