does anyone wanna hold hands until we feel a little braver
This isn't fair
I haven’t seen this on tumblr, and I feel like it needs to be said.
We already ask too much of our teachers. Why are we expecting them to give their lives now?
Sooo I did my first fan art for a challenge/art bingo in the Stiles Shipping Central Discord Server. It was both a color palette and an incorrect quote. There was only one ship I felt would fit the quote, which was If you’re not at least a little bit gay for your friends, then what kind of friend are you? So of course I made this Sciles fan art.
Actually Ginny seems more like the most single person in this in my opinion.
Harry: On his side, hands tucked under the pillow, making himself small to maximize the space he can take up. Falls asleep quickly. Favorite thing to wake up to: red curtains, so he knows he’s somewhere he loves, and not under the stairs.
Ron: The starfish. On his back, hands both flung up over his head, completely out of it, all gangly and stretched out. Usually one or both feet out from under the covers.
Hermione: On her side, stretched out, rubbing her legs against the soft sheets, hands tucked under one another after just reaching out and putting the book on the nightstand.
Ginny: Half twisted like she was stretching her back and left her legs to flop around. Usually moves incessantly all night. Bed hog 100%. Almost never under any covers, though she starts off with them.
Luna: Arms over her stomach, but feet pressed botoms together. Whether to stretch her back or to dance in her sleep, she always makes a diamond with her legs, a sort of silent slumbering butterfly.
Neville: Half side. One arm up under the pillow, the other across his stomach, half turned on his hip, legs usually crossed and nudging the other side of the bed space, head turned always to the clock on the nightstand.
Draco: Pillow queen. Minimum four pillows needed, extra body pillow preferred. Two pillows under his head, one on either arm to prop him like a throne. At least three types of blanket coverings (sheets, quilt, comforter, or something like).
my blog is, and always will be, a safe place for people who are not confident in their english speaking abilities. you will never be judged or mocked here.
Welcome to Full Moon Ficlet, the weekly prompt community for Teen Wolf!
In order to sign-up, just reblog this post or fill out this form and get writing a fic or ficlet that is inspired by this week's prompt. There are just a few rules:
Be inspired by the prompt of the week!
Reblog the original prompt post to sign-up for the week in order to be included in the masterlist or fill out the form above. Do this by Tuesday morning at 10 am Eastern time!
Your creation must be a part of the Teen Wolf fandom. Crossovers and fusions are welcome as long as TW is the primary focus.
Starting 07/03/2022, RPF will no longer be allowed as part of the challenge.
To be considered a ficlet, your story should be at least 200 words minimum and a maximum of 1499 words.
To be considered a fic, your story should be at least 1500 words minimum, and there is no maximum!
Art is art, and we love it! We will not be reblogging art, only a link, so please just make sure we know to mark the link NSFW if it is.
New chapters from a WIP or series are welcome, but please post your story or chapter in its entirety! Posting a chapter or story that is incomplete just makes readers sad. Choose the closest proper category (fic or ficlet) when you submit your completed work for the masterlist.
You can post your fic(let) or art ANYWHERE. If you post on AO3, please feel free to add it to the collection for this week's prompt (FMF_531).
Use the submission form to tell us about your fic by Saturday, April 08, 2023, by 10 am Eastern time in order to have it included on the masterlist.
There is no limit on the number of people who can sign up! Every prompt is a new week and a new event; you only sign up for one week at a time. There is no consequence for pledging to write and being unable to submit a fic that week. We understand that life interferes!
Now go have fun and create new fanworks for Teen Wolf! Art, fic, ficlets; everything is welcome. Enjoy, and get creative!
It's darkly amusing to me that some people thought my mom didn't "discipline" me enough as a kid, were not shy about making sure both she AND I knew it, and now as an adult I'm one of the only people in my friend group who still wants anything to do with their parents. The proof is in the pudding, as they say.
When I was a kid, I broke a ceramic soap dispenser. I burst into tears and was terrified that I was going to be in trouble. My mom told me that it was okay, because accidents happen sometimes, and the important thing was that I didn't do it on purpose and apologized.
When someone else I know was a kid, they broke a dish on accident and got screamed at and guilt tripped. To this day, they have to push down a panic attack at the sound of broken glass, and have had to actively work on healing from that trauma. They will always have to carry that.
I think maybe it's not MY mom who fucked up in the "how to discipline your child" department. Quite frankly, I think the idea of "disciplining children" is fucked up and deeply harmful on a fundamental level.
When a kid does something wrong, you have to teach them how to fix it and do better. Humans are messy and complicated and we don't know everything there is to know just by being born. Children are learning how to be human beings, and that's a really hard thing to learn.
Kids question and fight back against authority that mistreats them, but someone treating them like a human being with human emotions is usually going to have a lot of success. Kids just want to be respected, and it's our job as adults to give them that basic human dignity. The world is utterly terrifying, and made scarier when all the grown-ups seem to hate you and wish you would just shut up and go away, even the ones that claim they want you around.
Kids can be mean, because they're still learning how to socialize and communicate and collaborate. Sometimes you have to give them time to cool off, and sometimes you have to redirect them. Sometimes you have to be firm. Sometimes you have to be an adult, and hone your conflict de-escalation and resolution skills. None of that requires punishment.
And if a child does something truly cruel and fucked up and shitty, and it hurts someone in a big way? My first question isn't "what should their punishment be," my first question is always, "who taught this kid that, and is this child in active danger from them?"
Beautiful
I dont know too much about Dalmatians or what they were bred for so the other day i was talking to the security guard on campus about em and decided to google why they’re so aggressive and hard to handle and apparently its because they were bread as coach dogs, which means that they were trained to run alongside a coach or carriage and fucking attack anything that wasn’t their carriage. Like they were bonded to the horses used to pull the coach and to their handlers and other than that they would just jump anyone who came near em. If you had coach dogs you actually had to have someone who rode ahead and warned anyone coming toward you that you had coach dogs so they could move out of the way and not get attacked. So thats a mystery solved for me.
This also fits nicely with a post I made yesterday
