The Lower Decks behind the scenes video on Paramount's YT with Mariner's and Boimler's VAs and Mike McMahan is hilarious wthš This is a bts video and they pull out COMEDY GOLD
I am getting wayyy too overexcited about them being at Madame Tussaud's and John mentioning how close it is to their flat BECAUSE I WENT THERE RIGHT AFTER HAVING VISITED THE SHERLOCK HOLMES MUSEUM IN BAKER STREET LAST FALL :D The Sherlock Holmes statue is actually RIGHT down the street from Madame Tussaud's btw like you can actually see it from there iircš¤ so that's a fun detail that they of course can't see haha
The Enola Holmes wax figure also probably isn't there lol, I do wonder if Benedict Cumberbatch is still there since Sherlock was the role that first actually got him recognition? Iirc? That's what someone told me once so I wouldn't put my hand into the fire for it but y'know, he has had some great other roles since then though so it's very very possible he's still there 𦫠Ahhh they'd be able to see the Ncuti Gatwa wax figure there that's so awesomeš
Isn't Jack the Ripper also in the horror section?
The funniest part about this for me is how John is like "idk why we didn't go here earlier, it's so closeby" and the only reason we went there was because it was right on the way when we visited the statue after having seen Bakerstreet like yeah it is pretty closeby and the only reason I've been to Madame Tussaud's in the first place lmaoš
So I made some Andorian OCs from the time before the Aenar evolved into who they are today, I mean come on! What was the origin behind a pacifist society forming from a militaristic society, but in a way where it came to the point of them becoming a myth, living so far offsite?? Who were those Andorians that left to build their own society instead of triggering a revolution? How was the basis for the Aenar layed out? Those are the kind of thoughts that have been feeding this particular OC (bottom left of the sketches and the one I practiced animating expressions with :]) and I figured I could use my interest in them to practice some shape-focused character design with Andorians :) I actually canāt answer any of those questions accurately of course lol but I think itās fun to fantasize about them anyway (finally got some more stuff done for my portfolio through that) The Andorian on the bottom right (and well upper right too lol) has been growing on me too tbh I might look for ways to include him in my speculation/thoughts about Aenar history šš¦«
Iām not a fan of how smudgy it looks tbh but I think Iāve managed the viewing order in this pretty well with the help of a friend :]
As much as I've got to admit that I'm lowkey very fond of this detail, it still doesn't make any sense to me. I've looked it up and V.R. is apparently supposed to stand for Victoria Regina, the queen during Sherlock Holmes' time
But Sherlock isn't interested in politics at all. Why would he be patriotic enough to shoot the queen's initials into his walls?? Maybe it's just something random cause he didn't have anything better to use instead, but I doubt that the queen would be of enough significance for him to even use it randomlyš§ I mean why would Sherlock feel the need to pay homage to her?
I realized I donāt draw Splinter enough so I did a quick drawing of 2012 Ratdad (plus they boys bc how couldnāt I draw them hehe). Expect more rats from me
Closeups under the cut :)
Hello everyone, I am having to prepare to write a speech for my literature class concerning the quality of movie adaptations of novels. So I wanted to ask: Do you guys have any adapted scenes that you found remarkable in some way? Preferably a good one, but bad examples are welcome too of courseš«”
Maybe a scene from Arthur Conan Doyleās canon that often gets left out but you find important? Or a scene that you thought a certain adaptation absolutely nailed or really just butchered? I am specifically referring to specific scenes here and *not* to overall seriesā or movies. Please do tell me about what you find remarkable in relation to the original novels, I would really appreciate any help with this as Iād started to look for examples a bit late so I only have today and tomorrow to gather themš§āāļø
This doesnāt have to concern Sherlock Holmes, it can also be about Harry Potter, etc., anything really, I just used that as an example since I plan on using Holmes as a reference/example for my thesis anyway.
Fast replies would be much appreciated, as I donāt really have any idea where to even start right now :,)
another one from Instagram :]
Iāve really gotta continue this series manš
also ik this is just the sketch but his actual blanket being the colors of the Union flag is pretty funny to me
Cowboy-ify one/some characters!!
the one on the top left was my first attempt lol so ignore that, but yeah, Pike's already a horse guy so cowboy-ifying him seemed like the logical choiceš«”
Picked up crocheting purely because of a neat Connor pattern I saw on Etsy and got the urge to make it, so now I've been working on this since yesterday and am attempting crochet for the second time ever (the first time my best friend and I gave up at some point because I kept doing something wrong and we couldn't figure out what it was [I think it was just simple line stuff]) so this is my very first actual crochet project and I dare say it's been going relatively/quite wellš
In the game Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One by Frogwares, we can discover that Sherlock and Jon had put together a play for Hamlet with some other kids behind the Legacy Theatre when they were kids on Cordona (the island that the game is set on, they lived there with Sherlock's mom, her doctor and Mycroft when Sherlock was 10 until his mother died, which is basically the time and the place we're exploring and discovering new truths about during the story-relevant quests) He did this because he wanted to do a play but the man who owned the theatre didn't like children if I remember correctly, their Hamlet was so good that people had started gathering around them and the director came outside once the play was over to congratulate them on the good play and welcomed them into the theatre
Now this isn't necessarily some universal canon Sherlock or something, but I love this game and thought this was worth sharing :]
If Mycroft participated in theatre, it stands to reason Sherlock did too.Ā At least he took classes.Ā No one fakes all those personalities and cries on cue the way he does without training.
Now Iām envisioning them doing stuff like improv exercises where they have to pretend to be a bear stuck in a traffic jam or something.
