the more peaceful way to do it
scam bots that say "⚠️‼️PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE⚠️‼️ my family is dying 😧😧😧😧" I am not ignoring you babes, don't worry.
I am blocking and reporting your ass 🥰
no you have to contribute to your fandom if you don't want it to die. most fandoms die because people say 'it's so sad watching the fandom die when the hype dies' without doing anything about it. I'm not saying you have to push out 100k word slow-burn fic, I'm not saying you have to make fan art or gif sets or edits or anything. I'm just saying we as a community should contribute to our fandom if we don't want it to die, and by contributing, I'm talking about giving kudos, commenting on your favorite fics, reblogging your favorite art and just talking about your favorite characters. that's enough to keep a fandom alive. that's the most effective way to keep a fandom alive in my humble opinion.
fandoms die because people stop talking about it, fandoms die because people stop engaging with fan content once the hype is gone. what I'm saying is, mainstream media's hype may be gone, but our fandom can stay alive and thriving if us as a community don't let it die.
so embarrassing when i forget im checking someone's blog and i start scrolling through and liking and reblogging shit as if it's just my dash. it feels like wandering into someone else's apartment and not noticing and making myself lunch
heyhey, for those who don't know, i plan on being an author. the only problem is.. i never got my vision.
yk.. j.k.rowling got hers when she was on a train (a boy in a cupboard i think) and soman chainini got his when he was visiting london (he saw two castles, one for witches and one for princesses, and a witch falling into the good castle and a princess falling into the witch castle)
untill now ofc. I GOT MY VISION. after a year of waiting, i finally know what my story is going to be about.
this is what i imagined:
Sword and dagger gleamed in the air.
The two danced, stabbing and slashing at each other in the moonlight.
One male. One female.
The man wore a black suit, his face hidden in the shadows.
The woman's hair had come loose, and it flowed freely alongside her haunting gown.
Only the sounds of their weapons could be heard, slicing through the soft wind.
Not a single word was spoken as they glided through the night, each in sync as they lunged at one another.
i plan on making on making this a fantasy book that takes place at a school (the male is the school master, the woman is the evil queen that is corrupting the world) and a girl sneaks out with her friends to stop this queen.
the only catch.. evil wins in this book.
#justiceforladylessoandalltheotherhotfemalevillainbossesoutthere edit: is anyone even gonna like this book-
everyone deserves to see this masterpiece
(Because how someone dresses says so much about who they are.)
Polished — Sleek, well-put-together, and clean-cut. Grungy — Worn, layered, dark, and deliberately messy. Bohemian — Flowing, artsy, natural fabrics; lots of patterns. Minimalist — Clean lines, neutral colors, nothing extra. Sporty — Functional, casual, often branded or gym-inspired. Vintage-inspired — Nostalgic, retro cuts, old-school flair. Dark academia — Tweeds, layers, and mysterious literature major vibes. Streetwear — Trendy, oversized, edgy with a splash of attitude. Gothic — Dark colors, lace, leather, often dramatic. Soft girl / boy — Pastels, gentle patterns, dreamy aesthetics. Preppy — Polos, cardigans, and a “top of the class” shine. Business casual — Professional, but relaxed—like they could go from meeting to martini. Careless / wrinkled — Looks like they got dressed in the dark, and kind of did. Eclectic — Mix-and-match chaos, but somehow… it works. Utilitarian — Functional over fashionable, lots of pockets, maybe ex-military.
@queenofquestions if u havnt seen this already then i recommend you archive lock your fics so only signed in users can see it (hearbreaking, but the only option) and resend this to anyone else you know with fics on ao3, stay safe (also anyone else that sees this)
Since AO3 has been scraped due to Hugging Face, I have officially decided to change the visibility of my AO3 fics from "Show to all" to "Only show to registered users". This is something I have been thinking about for a while. I did a poll about, "What are you doing about you fanfics on AO3 and AI stealing them?" over a year ago.
The poll can be found here: https://www.tumblr.com/stars-forever/748514895577939968/what-are-you-doing-about-you-fanfics-on-ao3-and-ai?source=share
I have enabled comment moderation on all my fics for a while, but after having pretty much all of my works effected by the Hugging Face scraping, I feel like changing my fics visibility is the best thing to do at the moment.
I have been putting this off for so long because I was once someone without an FF.net and AO3 account, and read fics as a guest, but I don't want to take the chance of having my works put into an AI again.
Thank you to all the guests who read my fics, left kudos, and comments. I couldn't have gotten here without you guys. Thank you also to all the users who also read my fics, left kudos, and comments. I couldn't have gotten here without you guys either.
At this time, I am only changing the visibility of my fics on AO3 and not FF.net. Most of my fics on FF.net are older ones and are not posted on AO3. I don't think there is a way to change a fic's visibility on FF.net, but if someone knows how to please let me know.
If you need an invitation for AO3, please let me know, and I can send you one.
I'm really sad that I have to do this, but it is best for me and my work. These changes will take effect within 24 hours. Thank you, everyone, for understanding.
if I could meet one character, I think a would pick Lady Lesso from the school for good and evil (movie & book) because well.. its Lesso. Not only can she mentor me to be better at evil and whatever, I can also learn about what she likes, her passions, arics father, dovesso, etc. and just like- spying on her. studying her breathing. her movements. all that stuff.

a writing competition i was going to participate in again this year has announced that they now allow AI generated content to be submitted
their reasoning being that "we couldn't ban it even if we wanted to, every writer already uses it anyway"
"Every writer"?
