A drawing of a humanoid character on a stony path lined with bushes, smile on her face. Her light skin is wrinkled and her tied back hair is silver, both signs of her age. She walks with a cane, and has her giant purple dragon wings and tail spread out behind her, slightly torn at the edges. Here she is adorned in a loose black shirt, gray pants with a blue wrap loosely tied over them, and large black boots.

First time drawing one of my pal @nerdwingarts‘s characters for ArtFight. The outfit was probably the most challenging to come up with (you can tell my expertise lies mostly with modern Western fashion) but I had a lot of fun just drawing those giant wings.

A drawing of a dark-skinned satyr woman sitting on a brick wall. She has red and black dreadlocks, many scars and silver piercings, and is dressed in red and black punk attire.

Artfight attack for @food-with-ghastly-rice of their punk satyr Kinsin. Had fun coming up with the outfit.

A four panel Murderbot Diaries fan comic.

Panel 1: A depiction of ART/Perihelion’s consciousness, represented as a floating black sphere surrounded by criss-crossing blue rings with black and white spheres lining them. Across the main sphere is binary code and ART saying “Hi SecUnit, Miss me?” as it hovers over the humanoid cyborg Murderbot (also known as SecUnit), who is laying on the ground wounded and bleeding. The background is faded binary code.

Panel 2: A close-up of Murderbot’s face, injured and with an expression of intense worry. There are a few lines of red binary code floating above its head.

Panel 3: Still a close-up of Murderbot, but its expression has shifted to one of relief and the binary code is now green.

Panel 4: Murderbot’s expression has shifted to anger as it shouts “Fuck you ART!” ART replies, “Well fuck you too.” The binary code is now gray.

Fun fact, when one of my friends got to the part of Network Effect where it’s revealed that ART died(?), I played along that it was dead for good and then immediately after started drawing this for when she got to the part where ART came back.

Nother fun fact, ART is based partly on an ophanium, those angels that are just wheels/rings with eyes.

Extra bonus fun fact, if you want to see the full binary and translate it, go here. Warning, it is long. So long I had to make a Dropbox account for it.

A digital painting of an Earth-like planet as seen from outer space. In the background, the planet’s star and a faint blue nebula can be seen.

Taking a bit of a break from designing furries and diving into something I haven’t done since high school, space art. I would usually just manipulate photos to create such images, but I wanted to try my hand at drawing and painting instead (especially since I use Procreate now instead of Photoshop). There’s a lot of areas I know I can improve, but it was nice jumping back into an old favorite art genre of mine.

Drawing of the cyborg character Murderbot. It is looking down with a sad expression, as if about to cry. Its sclera and artificial seams along its face are dark red.

Felt like drawing a sad Murderbot. For a fourth time.

A reference sheet of a humanoid furry character. The reference sheet has two drawings of the character standing, one with clothes and one without. The character has tan fur, shaggy medium length brown hair, the face and ears of a lion, a short brown beard and mustache, a thin hourglass body, a long tail ending in a brown tuft of fur, and dark brown hooves for feet. In the clothed image she is wearing a black t-shirt with sunset colored stripes, blue jean shorts, black leggings, a pink flannel shirt wrapped around her waist, and a silver hoop earring on one of her ears. This is her main casual outfit. Between the two drawings are information on the character and her color palette.

Character Info:
Name: Matonne Anderson
Birth Year: 1998
Pronouns: She/He
Height: 5 feet, 6 inches
Gender: Female/male genderfluid
Orientation: Bisexual
Species: Lion/Horse
Career: Drag king and fashion designer
A reference sheet for Matonne's fashion style. There are two drawings of Matonne, one in her main casual outfit and the other in a drag/party outfit. Her drag/party outfit includes a large black blazer with a large collar, with sunset colored gemstones lining the collar and ends of the sleeves. There is a sunset-colored cravat around her net. Underneath her blazer is a pink vest and a black jumpsuit with a glittery sunset-colored swirl pattern on it. She is also wearing, sunset-colored nail polish, gemstone earrings, gemstone ring, eye make-up, and horseshoes. Her hair and mustache are curly.

Between the two drawings is text that reads:

Casual attire is a mix of kidcore, art hoe, and punk

Common Patterns: amorphous shapes, dots, gradients, fruit, anything nerdy, plaid, stripes

Common Colors: warm hues (especially pink), black + another color, bright colors

Common Clothes: Graphic tees and tanks, Button ups, Jeans, Leggings, Circle skirts, T-shirt dresses, All bottoms must have pockets

Common Accessories:Ring and simple shape earrings, Pendant necklaces, Beaded bracelets, Bows, sashes, and charms on tail, Pins/buttons, Nail polish

Fashion Don'ts:
Rarely wears hats and make-up
No rips or holes (cut-offs and patches ok)
Cleavage is never shown

Drag and party attire
pulls largely from dandy and rave fashion

Outfits often themed on a specific concept
Outfits can be more revealing or erotic
Hair is more deliberately styled

Common Patterns: dots, floral, glitter, gradients, paisley, rhinestones, spirals

Common Colors: achromatic colors, bright colors, pastels, black + bright colors

Common Clothes:
Suits
Jumpsuits
Collared tops
Frilled clothes
Capes
Bralettes
Horseshoes

Common Accessories:
Make-up, nail polish, and jewelry are a must
Ties and other fabric neck accessories
Gemstone jewelry
Three full body drawings of Matonne from different angles, front, back, and the side.
Seven drawings of Matonne’s head from the front, back, and side. In three of the drawings, Matonne has facial hair and longer hair. In three other drawings, Matonne has no facial hair and shorter hair. In one of the short-haired drawings, there are blue X’s on Matonne’s ears. In the last face drawing, she has facial hair and a ponytail. There is also a drawing of her mouth slightly open, showing her sharp teeth.

The image includes text reading:

Usually has facial hair and mid-length hair
Sometimes clean shaven and/or has shorter hair
X’s indicate where piercings are
Hair is occasionally tied back
Long sharp canines
Five drawings of Matonne expressing different emotions: happiness, amber, tired, sadness, and sultry. There is also a drawing of her tail resting on the ground.

Beside each picture is text reading:

Happiness:
Ears perk up
Mouth open when elated
More animated

Anger:
Ears curl backwards
Shoulders tense
Teeth bared
Growls when really angry

Tired (due to chronic pain):
Ears fall
Slight furrow in brow
Shoulders slack
Slight frown
Eyes half lidded

Sadness:
Ears fall down
Body tends to curl up or sink back

Sultry:
Becomes more theatrical
Hands fall to chest
Eyes half lidded
Speech is softer

Tail falls when sad or low energy

Decided to make some changes to my fursona and make some more extensive references for her. Wanted to give her facial hair and make her ears smaller to better show off her earrings and allow her to emote with them. I also removed the extra colors from her hair cause they were a bit difficult to work with at different angles.

Drawings of the abstract form of the Murderbot Diaries character, ART/Perihelion. It typically looks like a black sphere with binary code on its surface, surrounded by blue rings lined with smaller black and white spheres. In the main, image ART is saying, “Do not attempt to hack my systems”.

However, its appearance changes slightly based on the situation.

In one image, ART is a black sphere, surrounded by three blue rings. Where the rings intersect is a black eye. It has four wispy blue wings and a ring of white spheres surrounding it.
This image is labeled with the text: “If it looks like this‪, RUN!‬ Or watch several weeks worth of TV with it, I guess. I mean, it’s your semi-artificial consciousness on the line.”

In another image, ART is a blue sphere with six wispy pale blue wings and a ring of dark blue circles behind its wings.
This image is labeled with the text: “Oh, so you did watch TV with it…‪Cool.”‬

‪In the image labeled “Quiet/Focused”, ART’s rings are lying flat around the main sphere with the smaller dots inside the rings.‬

‪In the image labeled “Compressed” ART is a sphere wrapped in black feathery wings. When the wings are unfurled, the sphere underneath is bright blue with binary code flowing through it.‬

‪In the image labeled “‬Number of rings varies from 1 - question mark” ART is a black sphere surrounded by four blue rings.

Some drawings of ART/Perihelion, or rather what ART looks like to other machines. ART usually takes the bottom middle form, but its appearance varies based on its mood and/or what it’s doing.

Do augmented humans see it like this too? I’m not sure yet, but right now I am leaning towards “some of them”.

Based on an ophanim (those wheel/ring angels), planetary systems, and Bohr atom models.

Bonus spoiler character from Book 5: Network Effect under the cut

Murderbot 2.0

A drawing of the Murderbot Diaries character Murderbot 2.0. It is a white sphere with turquoise binary code on its surface. It is surrounded by a segmented turquoise ring.
