So, I'm finishing studying for my final test, in which I need to know the different laws in history that protects the art of each country. Is interesting but intense, since I also need to know the different types of concepts and the history between those movements and why they did it.
My now regular photo dump of kitty induced serotonin before I hide it in the ever growing Pinterest Board from my therapist. Enjoy!
René Magritte, The Lovers II
Finished another piece last night. For the portraits I was actually tracing over the base silhouettes, but with this one I drew it without tracing. It's so weird that it's easier to draw a hand - the scourge of all artists - than it is to draw a face, the thing I spend the most time drawing. 🤷🏻♀️ I still take the colours directly from the photo though.
Anyways here's the finished piece, with the reference below it.
Okay, so today's exam was weird, cause the teacher didn't put any of the art we technically had to study for today, so we had to be guessing in an interesting way. The only good thing is that I know like half of the paintings and can be saying weird facts I know about the rest because the painting can give you a lot of information.
quotes from exam week:
"you look good for someone who got dragged to class at 7 am"
"can I take a nap on your boobs? just a little nap?"
"TWINSIES" *clink celsius cans*
"have you tried the Beverage?" "I can hear the ominous capitalization there."
"ladies we are crying dying and whining out here"
"so I know it's 9am-" *class groans* "-but I believe in you all!" *class groans louder*
"coffee! monster! tequila! death!"
"where are your shoes" "what is this, a restaurant?"
"is it too late to seduce the ta"
*pulls a mini stapler out of bra* "REJOICE! YOUR SAVIOR IS HERE!"
"that's it I'm changing my major" "to what?" "whatever's easy" "cops?"
"shawty got that dark circle sexiness"
"after this, we PARTY!" "dude, after this, I'm taking a fucking nap"
So my best friend and I are planning to live together when we finish studying, the problem? He loves minimalism with very sober decoration but a little bit of funny touch, and I love the most tacky and strange things you can find. So I only can do the curtains and under the condition that he has to see them first. They are going to be by crochet.
It's hard finding a balance but somehow we are doing it.
For reference, this is a gag photo I sent him.
It might be amazing for some people but for my best friend and I is not that amazing.
Norman Rockwell (American, 1894 - 1978), Wet Paint, 1930, oil on canvas.
I like how the one dude had to sit down twice he was so overwhelmed
Kind of not doing notes, I'm working on some crochet, but I've finally learned how to take chemistry notes,so I'm quite happy!!
