Hand painting

Finished another piece last night. For the portraits I was actually tracing over the base silhouettes, but with this one I drew it without tracing. It's so weird that it's easier to draw a hand - the scourge of all artists - than it is to draw a face, the thing I spend the most time drawing. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I still take the colours directly from the photo though.

Okay, so today's exam was weird, cause the teacher didn't put any of the art we technically had to study for today, so we had to be guessing in an interesting way. The only good thing is that I know like half of the paintings and can be saying weird facts I know about the rest because the painting can give you a lot of information.

So my best friend and I are planning to live together when we finish studying, the problem? He loves minimalism with very sober decoration but a little bit of funny touch, and I love the most tacky and strange things you can find. So I only can do the curtains and under the condition that he has to see them first. They are going to be by crochet.

It's hard finding a balance but somehow we are doing it.
