Hi! Idk if my qn got sent before (tumblr mobile yeesh) I wanted to say i really really love your blog and art style! I was wondering if you have tips to draw Dean's and Cas's hair??
REALLY LATE REPLY BUT UM Dean’s got a hair parting on either side but his hair kinda all comes out from a spot on the back of his head. Keep the sides short but flip up the hair in the front
And here’s Cas again! Recapping: part on one side and have the hair come out from the parting and flip up in front as well. He’s got a longer fringe than Dean’s
your art are amazing and you're so talented! I would like to ask how to draw Castiel's wild chaotic sex hair:)
LMAO umm I think it’s easiest to part it on one side and then have it fan out from there with the front flipping up.
thank you!!
Could you do a tutorial on how to draw body hair? like chest hair, arm hair, facial hair? I can never make it look right : (
here’s a short little one:
I’m sure there’s better ways out there, but this is how I do it!
can you show us your painting steps?
I start with a base of sketchy lines (on grey so i can see the lines better)
2. Then I put down a base skin tones
3. From there I create a new layer and start adding shadows/highlights/other tones (i call them roughs)
4. I add some overlay/soft light layers to help me figure out the mood (I change this A LOT)
5. Then I work on refining/ smoothing
6. My final steps are all cleaning up/adding details/texturesHere’s the finished work!
Idk if this may help anyone BUT here is a very quick and stylized way I group muscles together. I usually start with the head, neck and shoulders then work down from there.
JUST SOME THOUGHTS! I don’t really like the “go from the top up” advice on drapery/clothes - if you’re having difficulty try it like this!
YES I see the typo… I’m so sorry folks… I was in a frenzied rush to make this…… and I’m too lazy to fix it……
Couple of tips on some bird things for art! Some which people rarely touch on in their own tutorials or tips, mostly the first and second one! If there’s any specific things you’d like some tips on just let me know with an ask~
Ay yo binch, how you draw teeths so good. They look great
Thanks! :^)
Usually I just start by filling in the mouth (all black since I mostly sketch in black and white) and then I use an eraser to make the shapes for the insides of the mouth (teeth, tongue). Since Ruby has monster-ish teeth, I draw them pretty sharp.
Draw different shapes and fill them in!
Anonymous said: Your art is so natural and expressive, I love it! I was wondering how you go about cuddles?? Or just fitting two people together so it’s not awkward or stiff looking, it’s something I’ve struggled with but look to your art to see how you solve it. I was wondering about your thought process when organizing a drawing like that (I hope the English is okay!)
Thanks! ^^ When I read your first question I thought you’re asking about real cuddles :’) Anyway, this is how I go about it, sometimes I alredy have a pose in mind, but then it’s just trying until I get it right. Sometimes I use references. But this technique is really relaxing, I love to draw this way :D Hope it helps!
Some drawing tips previously posted on twitter. More drawing tips on my patreon. Hope some of these can be helpful.
Sorry if someone has already asked this but can you show us a colouring tutorial please?
ya take a babi
color da babi
make a fuckin uhhh multiply/shade layer then u take ur fuckin sai marker brush
pick a shading color or something
cel shade that motherfucker
but be messy with it, literally just go fucking ham, dont be too precise and don’t make it look so clean
ysee that residue there? yea man, it looks really messy but it also kinda looks like a painting right
make a screen/luminosity layer on top of the multiply layer
then ya pick a lighting color
then u do the same thing as earlier
bam you got,,, a child
this is the simple n easy way i do it, i got more complicated ways but hewe u go
OH YEAH HERE’S MY PEN SETTINGS
well I just got here and all but I'd sort of like a tutorial on how you do shading and highlights? yours is really good, and I can't really shade or anything, so if you could explain how you do that, that might be cool? no pressure of course!
It’s been forever but I did this ajshaj
Quick notes:- I use Paint Tool SAI 2- some of the tools and layer names are in Russian but it all should still be understandable I hope
So here’s a tutorial on I do my simple coloring
There’s not much to it but maybe this can help someone
Yep… So this is what I think might be helpful. Check this tutorial by Sinix [x] it’s super helpful for drawing faces from different angles. Generally, if I can imagine a head in 3D I’m able to draw it and drawing eyes first helps me visualise everything. (It’s super sketchy but hope it’s understandable anyway :))
Made a quick Male torso/ Abs tutorial! hope you like it!

Weekly anatomy tip!
This week I tackle feet. I know how many of you asked for it.
It is hard topic indeed. It’s hard to draw nice looking character with feet that doesn’t look believable.
A lot practice is needed. I just presented few ideas and now you have to put it to practice.
Hope this helps !
Weekly art tip: Drawing folds!
Hope you guys enjoy it I’ve put a lot work to make this ^^
I tried to make it as simple as possible :)
Tuesday Tips - With a Twist! Add some vitality to a pose by twisting parts of the body. A little or a lot. Give it a shot. #Norm #100tuesdaytips #WithATwist #grizandnorm #arttips #arttutorial
NOTE: one type of fold will rarely appear on its own - they interact with each other quite a bit! for example, spiral folds might define the outline of a pant leg, while the interior folds might be zig-zag folds.
i’m trying to re-learn how to draw clothing, so i made this little guide to the most common shapes of folds that appear. hope it helps someone else too!
Did a total revamp of Teru and changed up his back story. He still likes to felt animals though! Also, I just got an iPad which means TIME LAPSES YEEAAH. Takes way less steps than when I do it on my desktop.
Hair Tip #1 - When drawing hair, start with the hairline and hair part(s). Then keep the flow and volume in mind while you add details!
I’m not the best at drawing or painting hair, but someone on instagram requested that I make a post about it so hopefully this will help someone! This is the first of 3 tips I’m going to share.
