I stopped being a Christian right around 2 years ago. And I can't truly express the rage I feel when I go to church now. To think about all the things that that church did and said and preached to me since I was THREE! Telling me that I was disgusting and sinful and unlovable just for being born. How all the good things I have done are as worthless as dirty rags, but if I'm not good the god that loves me SO MUCH will send me to be tortured for all eternity. And my father being praised for being abusive because "spare the rod spoil the child". And when I told the pastor's wife that my dad had hit me with a shovel she asked me what I had done to deserve it. When I got the courage to tell another pastor that my boyfriend SA'd me multiple times he shamed me and explained that men have weakness that women can't understand and that sometimes they just can't resist the temptation. And when we broke up the pastor told me no man would ever be able to put up with me and MY sexual transgressions. 4 of the men that went to that church have either harassed or SA'D me. And to this day they are all welcomed into that building with open arms and I'm insulted and shamed every time I come.

To them I will never be anything but broken.

Why did I have to have this body?! Everything is wrong. Everything is too big and I feel like I'm suffocating in my skin. Why do I take up so much space? Why am I so loud? Why can't I just be small? I'm a foot taller than all my cousins my age. My feet are bigger than my dad's and he's 6'4". Why is my nose so big. And my hands. And my chest. And my stomach. Why the fuck is it that I got the short end of the deal and now I'm huge?! I wish I could cut it off. I wish I could evaporate until I don't exist anymore. Maybe that's what I have to do.

All of this is GENIUS!

Things I do when my chronic pain flares.

So like many many people, I have chronic illnesses. That comes along with the fun little bonus of chronic pain. I have skin conditions that can make moving incredibly painful, but I also have other conditions that make frequent, quick movements very painful. Sometimes I just don't have the physical energy to move around a lot for my craft, so... I have to get a wee bit creative.

One of my favorite cheats is so stupidly simple that I hate I didn't think about it sooner. It's an easy cleansing method that I've been using for a few years now, and all I have to do is hold my burning smoke cleanse behind a rotating fan with the window open in my room. If you can't walk around, this work fine too. Just be careful.

I know I've said this is a few other posts, but lemons. Lemons. Lemons. I love them so much. Slice one up, pepper around your space, constant negativity absorption. Sometimes I sprinkle on some salt, or cloves, maybe a few pinches of basil. As they dry over a few days, they absorb negativity and leave my space feeling nice and light. Once they're dried up, my flare has usually calmed down and I toss them into the fireplace to burn.

Cat purring is extremely comforting and charging energy. I use my cat for charging crystals, spells, candles... pretty much anything. I lay down, give her a few pets, and we both take a nap as she infuses whatever-i-need-charged with a calming energy.

Here's a bulleted list of just a few more ideas:

Stick a crystal to your Roomba or pet's collar

Use an electric wax melter instead of a candle so you don't have to worry about getting up to put it out

Put dried herb leaves in your phone case

Keep a spray cleanser by your bed so you can very lightly mist yourself/your bed if there's too much pain to smoke cleanse

Light incense on the opposite side of the room as the window, and keep the window open to spread the smoke

I know it can be hard to keep up when things are bad, but keep in mind that resting is just as important as practicing. You're not a bad witch for needing breaks, rests, or pauses. There's no 'minimum engagement requirements. You're allowed to recharge and recuperate whenever you need to. Please take care of yourself, and good luck <3 Blessed be.

Ok so this post is extremely long and I put it all together for my blogs Feeling sad page but as I don’t have a huge amount of followers I realize so many people are not seeing this information so I’m posting it here too!

alternatives without harming yourself:

holding/squeezing ice.

splashing your face with water.

getting a rubber band and snapping it against your skin (this could hurt, though it’s better than other ways that people usually choose to self-harm).

take a hot shower or bath.

eat something sour. it will take your mind of the urge. (lemon, sour lollies)

massage where you want to self-harm.

get a red pen or red paint and draw/paint over where you usually self-harm.

remind yourself as to why you shouldn’t do it. (scars, harms organs, leave memories etc…)

describe what you are feeling. (is the urge/pain in your chest, fists, legs, arms, head).

killing yourself will not help. it is not a solution.

you have your whole life ahead of you. you have so many more years that you can accomplish things in. for example;

having a family.

getting married.

to watch the sun rise.

to watch the sun set.

to save someone else’s life.

finish school.

get your dream job.

to laugh.

to smile.

to go camping.

travel to new places.

to wake up every morning to the person you love.

friends.

family.

to keep that promise you made.

to accomplish a goal.

to meet your idol.

to listen to new music.

theme parks.

video games.

chocolate.

to be able to look back and say “i made it”.

what you’re going through is temporary.

in case you need to hear this:
