I know you call hiccup “brother” a lot, and after you guys made up, is there a good friendship there? And if something were to happen, where he needed help would you be there?

Dagur: Well duh! Obvi! I'm still pissy about Hiccup not telling us about Drago so we could help! We could make a difference there! And believe me that I told him that. Also made it clear that next time Berk and dragons are in danger, we want to be there.

Dagur is definitely a bandit that steals from wagons even though he comes from a rich family 😁. That or he's taking care and riding bulls, that would suit him too.

Eret is definitely a Native American enslaved by Drago (branded and possibly forced to have his hair shortened and tied), forced to steal wild horses while his tribe used to protect them and guide them (coming from his original Saami culture where they take care, hoard and help reindeers to migrate).

Honestly I guess it mostly depends on the timeline, if we're talking true wild west with bandits, natives and slavery, OR it's a modern timeline and they actually join western games! That would be so cool. Rodeo, bull riding, possibly Equestrianism performances (classy Viggo), all that kind of stuff. ❤️

Howdy Train Your Dragon??

HEAVILY INSPIRED from @tragisbawls western AU and also I believe that one “Howdy Train Your Dragon” post by @wardenofdragons

please let me know if I’ve made any mistakes in crediting but these guy’s posts were my main inspiration fr

enjoy some WIPs, currently I’m making them for reference so I can draw the gang doing some scenes

might have gone a bit insane over the festive season and fallen head first into this western AU. basically everything is the same but instead of Vikings it’s cowboys! I’m gonna colour these all and want to do more art/drawings of this too bc it has been occupying my thoughts lol

- set in a fictional Old West, similar to how the canon treats Viking lore and accuracy, assume this is the same 😂

- in this AU, Hiccup loses his leg before he meets Toothless in some sort of stampede/horse-related accident, which makes Stoic, the cheif of the town, more protective of him/not want him to go near them

- Hiccup finds Toothless as a wild mustang, trapped in a gorge. Hijinx ensue, Hiccup saves him, and they bond.

-Hiccup and Fishlegs live in the same town. Astrid, Lout, Ruff and Tuff are part of a group of travelling cowboys from out of town or somethin lol. Something happens and Legs and Hic have to travel with them for a bit. Haven’t worked everything out yet but if people have ideas feel free to let me know!

- Ruff and Tuff are in charge of the supplies wagon and they often confuse Barf & Belch with their arguing. The poor horses go in different directions or one of them might stop while the other keeps going 😭

- Meatlug is usually seen pulling a little wagon with extra supplies/Fishlegs rides in the wagon sometimes when they go on adventures so she ends up being the slowest in the group, similar to how she is the slowest of the gang’s dragons

- Hookfang is an Arabian horse and he has a really firey temper and has a similar relationship to Snotlout as in the canon. Snotlout made Hookfang rear up on his hind legs once, but Snotlout fell off and Hookfang left him in the dust 💀

- Astrid is the leader of the cowboys. Stormfly has little braids in her mane as that’s Astrid’s way of showing affection.

What’s ur opinion on kids?

Dagur: Oh I want kids! They're like mini copies of ourselves but they are also different! It's like watching a seed grow! You will never know what would the little plant grow into!

Viggo: That is very nicely said. I do like kids at some specific ages when they are most curious and their minds can be taught many things they might remember in their growth. But I don't handle them when they are at their early stage.

Dagur: You mean you don't like babies? But those are the most joyful and innocent versions of them!

Viggo: Also the most depending on others help and would eat everything they find.

Eret: Fair points to all of you but as someone who spent quite a while around kids of all ages and even took care of them, I believe that unlike you two I have enough experience to actually handle the responsibility.

Dagur: What's that supposed to mean?

Eret: Kids aren't toys or pets to play and teach things. It's a lot of responsibility and a big pressure to lead by example when you have one. The way you behave towards and around the child, it will grow as pattern to them.

Viggo: Given what you told us about your younger self, I pray we won't encounter those you helped to raise.

Eret: Right and you will definitely rock as a parent when you will ignore the kid in its most fragile lifetime and care about them only when they start talking.

Viggo: That's not what I-

Dagur: Oookay, better stop before someone says something they might regret.

Eret: Fine.

Viggo: Agreed.

Dagur: Dangerous roomies? Hiccups big brothers? THAT'S US!!!!

BrynRet - is a ship with @skysiren41 's OC Brynja, one armed lass with Albinism (my art of her in an adorable mushroom overall). She is a healer like her mother but skilled hunter and a great fighter. She has a prosthetic arm that can summon: sword, crossbow and a dagger.

Topaz: Is Brynja's Goldscale dragon. He's a lazy but temperament feisty fella who loves honey and bugs and was separated from his mother as a hatchling.

Avalanche: A halfbreed of Shockjaw and a Stormcutter. He has a big appetite for fish but loves his rider and would never betray him. Unless you have a tuna.

Blizzard: Eret's very first dragon. A blue Singetail he rescued from one of his traps on his journey to try to fix his mistakes before becoming a dragon rider.

Eret's cousins: He may not have a sibling, but he has 5 cousins who are just as annoying. Especially if you're the youngest.

Dangerous roomies: What it's like for Hiccup to live with his three friends, who each are a pain in the ass of their own. Characters: Hiccup, Eret, Dagur, Viggo.

Hiccup's big brothers: Hiccup's faithful and loyal bodyguards have to deal how to live with each other on one island, without Hiccup who can tear them apart when things get messy.

Eret: Eret Eretson..... It saves time than constantly repeating 'son of Eret' and avoids asking me how manyth I am.

Does Eret even have a last name or is it just Eret, son of Eret or like Eretson 😭

I’m making a silly power point for a college event, I think you guys will like what I have so far

Am I putting in more effort than I should? Probably.

My theory is that he- oh wait, he's here.

Viggo: Thank you deity but I'll take it from there.

Viggo: The process itself was quite dangerous but simple too. All we needed was to find its location, watch the whirl center to count down for how long it lasts before setting a couple of very long chains at the bottom of the sea and after drawing the Submaripper to the chains locations, all we needed was to pull to secure at least one of the limbs before making it eat a lot of substance that shall remain a secret to make it fall asleep so we could actually drag it to the Trader's shores. It was quite a struggle to pull but as you have seen, I've succeeded. And if you ask about how we tied it up, we used the chain and a high sea stack to pull the dragon up to finish the jobs before dropping the dragon on the bottom until it woke up and began its chaos.

Viggo: As for the Shellfire. Similar process but it required a lagoon, harpoons and strong ships. Also strong dragons. Good thing we had the Catastrophic Quakens to do the heavy lifting. After the ship was built, we pulled the dragon back into the sea and started with the plan.

How do u think viggo managed to chain a submeripper underwater or capture a shelfire cause thats running on my mind for a while now?

I can't say for certain how Viggo did it. I can, however, provide my opinion on the matter. I'd like to think that the dragon eye may have given Viggo a general location to the submaripper whereabouts. After he managed to find one I think it would make the most sense to take it out with a large amount of dragon root. He may have dumped it straight into the ocean or had his men fire arrows at it if it came close to the waters surface.

what is you guys preferred breakfast when you star the day?

(this question is for anyone, mostly Viggo and Dagur)

Viggo: All I need in the morning is a cup of hot brew to start a day. The food is only additional options since I begin with work early.

Dagur: And stays up then till another breakfast. Anyway, I like my breakfast like I like my dragon. Hot and spicy. It's that painful burn that really kicks me out of the sleep and onward whatever awaits me!

Viggo: However after sharing living with Eret, we've been getting a proper food and even still warm during a morning small talk. He had to take over the cooking after Dagur burnt down the kitchen.

Dagur: Wonder when that gets old. Anyway as Eret's making breakfast now, his favorite food is sweet pastry and a LOT of bacon. Once he made Saami pancakes. They were decent until we found out what it's made for.

Viggo: I knew that brown color was unnatural. And the metalic taste..... But I'll hand it to his people how talented they are in using every part of the animal.

Dagur: In short, NEVER letting that guy serve us pancakes made of animal blood.... NEVER!!!! That's too nuts! Even for the Nuts!
