What if Atsushi knows sign language?? Like in the orphanage the kids would use it to communicate sometimes without the staff knowing, so even if Atsushi wasn't involved he gradually learned sign language to find out where to sneak food, good hiding spots if something happens, and how to get away easily if you do something. He knows how to sign fast too cause the kids would cut deals with Atsushi that if he used the fact that he was much scrawnier than the other kids to do something, then they would split something, mostly food though. So he can sign fast, fluently, and easily understand it even if it's rushed or unclear to most.

Please this came to me so randomly but I now have the headcanon that Dazai likes to draw. Not like full on pieces or artworks but he likes to doodle randomly. In the margins of his paperwork you'll see small sketches or doodles of things like the sign for bar lupin, the pen on his desk, just small little things he remembers or is looking at. Also he has a small sketchbook that is really just a re-purposed notebook (Kunikida probably gave the notebook to him to solve his 'fish like memory issues'(he was just ignoring heads up for meetings, deadlines, etc.)) where Dazai will just sketch things that look more similar to full on pieces that he uses as a way to vent cause God is he emotionally constipated.

Edit: I just realized Chuuya would DEFINITELY tease dazai about his doodles. If he found of Dazai has a secret portrait drawing of him... well, Dazai is never gonna hear the end of it

Something about how Fyodor offers to give Atsushi the page to save his friends. But the moment that deal breaks and Atsushi begs him to save them, Fyodor’s entire mood shifts.

Prior to that he was treating Atsushi like a (creepy) knight. Talking about how great his ability is and that Atsushi should join him.

Smirking and having a laugh at Atsushi’s expense.

But after Atsushi begs him for help Fyodor glares at him. He says now can such power dwell in someone like you. And just overall looks at Atsushi with disgust.

I guess Fyodor was okay with treating Atsushi (almost) like an equal. Because of his power and who he is but seeing him on the ground begging felt wrong.

Maybe? But it’s like sir (derogatory) your the reason this happened why are you surprised? Atsushi would’ve joined you to bring his friends back, why are you shocked he’d keep trying for them.

You’d think someone like Fyodor would delight in seeing Atsushi reduced to this state, but apparently not.

So my discovery of being aroace really changed my perspective on skk alot, so imma ramble about that.

I'll be honest, I saw those two as like, boyfriends, with an established romantic relationship and stuff. Now I kinda see them as having a queer platonic relationship. Partially because I feel like labels disgust them. They beat them back with a stick. Or gun. Or corruption. ANYWAYS, the point is that they are very close, but I don't think they're boyfriends. They support each other, be honest with one another (sometimes, Chuuya probably forces Dazai a bit), and just do a bunch of random stuff together, of course with a little arguing. So they're so close they have a relationship, but are they dating? No, they'd probably both stare at you in disgust I'd you said that. Then wtf are they? Partners. It's not really romantic, and that's kinda because I feel like at least one of them I'd aromantic. Which one? Who knows. Maybe it's both, maybe it's actually none and I'm just projecting. But also because I just think they aren't into having any romance. Can they have romantic feelings? Yeah, probably. Do they not want them and actively avoid them? Yes. So they're just soukoku, nothing more, nothing less. They are them, and frankly that little look back and a new perspective on them makes me really happy.
