Another waterfall stop during this past weekend. This time Sherman Falls. #hamont #discoverhamilton #discoveron #shermanfalls #waterfallcapitaloftheworld #photography #nature (at Sherman Falls)
The sun finally came out a bit and the temp rose a little above freezing, so I decided to get out for a hike. Went down to Bayfront Park and the Waterfront Trail. The breeze was chilly however the sun felt nice. Stopped by the nesting mute swans that are there each year. My friend Janine had posted that they had laid their 1st 2 eggs. I was curious how.more had been deposited since they take 2 or 3 weeks to lay the full clutch. Fortunately mom didn't make me wait too long. I saw she had at least 9 eggs so far as she stood up after preening and turning the eggs. Not sure if she is finished with laying. The photos were only taken with my camera phone but the eggs are clear in some of the images. #muteswans #nestingswans #swaneggs #bayfrontpark #waterfronttrail #hamont (at Hamilton, Ontario)
3 and a half bags of donations prepared for 3 of the community groups I frequently attend and receive so much from. Time to give back a little. Mostly art related supplies. Though I've also included some personal care products that are always in need by MHRC. #sitelines thru @centre3_ , @thelostorganization and #mentalhealthrightscoalition I will also be making a small cash donation to @harrrp since I do pottery there. And they offer a lot more programs. My thanks to all of these organizations who have helped me and many others in our community, especially those dealing with mental health issues. All of you are very much appreciated. I hope that others reading this post will also consider making a contribution. #hamont #hamiltonontario #arttherapy #charity #charitydonation #mentalhealth #mhrc (at Hamilton, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnJrjzknVel/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=kgsfec91y4vz
Finally decided I'm finished an art piece I had been working on a few hours a week for about 8 or 9 months. #sitelines #artforms #centre3 #hamont #arttherapy #winterart I got to the point where every time I tried to fix a line, I'd mess up another. I realized I can't improve on it with my limited skills. Lol I wise person told me (@titaniumchild ) that "art is done when you feel it is finished, not when it's perfect. If you wait for perfect, it will never be completed." But it was a learning experience. I have progressed a fair bit from when I started. And it was a good mindful activity to keep me focused for a few hours each week. (at Artforms) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnAF99_nqfX/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7n4k5thda39e
Well that's a kicker to ruin a quiet night. Fire alarm went off. Looks like we rated a 2 alarm. Appears to have been someone fooling around and pulled an alarm at 10:30pm tonight. Most of the building evacuated. A few stayed inside - not particularly smart. Most took their pets out. I tried to get mine but she got in such a panic from the noise, I wasn't able to reach her. Glad it ended up being a false alarm. (at Hamilton, Ontario)

Crescent moon over Bayfront Park. I'm at the park area trying to catch the sunset (not really) and check on the status of the 3 swan pairs with nests in the area. Sadly things don't appear to be fairing well. One nest near the Bayfront boat launch apparently has lost 1 egg (down to 5??). One pair near the macassa marina has lost all their eggs and have abandoned their nest. I couldn't find any shell fragments. They were out in open water several hundred metres away with no young. The third pair seems to be still intact. The mother is still on the nest but I could not see the father. #hamont #Bayfrontpark #pier4 #crescentmoon (at Pier 4 - Bayfront)
James St N artcrawl. A few local artist friends have some of their work on display in the Hamilton Artists Inc gallery. Nice seeing them getting recognition for their creative talents. #hamiltonartistsinc #hamont #artcrawl #discoverhamilton #jamesstreetnorth #jamesstreetnorthartcrawl (at Hamilton Artists Inc.)
