Yayyy Hugo headcanon time!!

He’s a bottle blonde, whether it’s cuz his natural hair is brunette or another shade of blonde

Hugo cannot swim at all. Like, my guy was PANICKING during the water trial

He sees Donnie as his mother

Doesn’t like sweet things because he doesn’t have a sugar tolerance after spending so much of his life in poverty (got this from the silent opera)

Unlabeled in terms of sexuality. I feel like he either wouldn’t care or wouldn’t have time to figure out a label for himself and settles for “I’m attracted to the person, not the gender”

Him wearing his hair down around the others is some kind of metaphor for letting his guard down (will die on this hill)

Knew about Varian being the Alchemist before Varian told everyone

This ^^ being said, he also freaked out once he found out/realized because he idolized the Alchemist the way Varian did Flynn Ryder

Sees Nuru as his sister (I LOVE THEIR FRIENDSHIP)

Nuru is his maid of honor at his and Varian’s wedding

Yong is his best man ^^

Dropped a piano on Eugene’s head when they were on a thieving job years ago 😼

Born to wear his heart on his sleeve, forced to keep it locked away. He’s such a lover boy at heart

Almost left Corona after the trials were over because he thought it would be “better for everyone” but Varian convinced him to stay

keep forgetting how much i love season 1 and 2 cass. like, she had her toxic moments, but that was okay because i believed she’d get character development. plus, she had those sweet moments like helping eugene even though she didn’t like him, and when she basically just wanted to spend time with rapunzel. i usually picture season 3 cass when i think of her, but i need to remember how great she was in the first two.

Honestly as a blind person I’m so tired of seeing fictional blind characters who don’t use white canes or other guides. “They have special powers so they know what’s around them” or “they’re confident enough to not need a guide” are common tropes, and I’m tired.

Are people scared that using a white cane will make their blind character seem weak? They can’t use a cane because they’re so special that they already know what’s around them, and other blind people who use guides are inferior because they’re not special?

I’m tired. Give your blind characters white canes and other guides. Let them hold onto their friends, let them have guide dogs. Don’t make white cane users feel ostracized for not being “strong enough” to go without.

Another thing that pisses me off is when a sighted character comes up with the fantasy equivalent of braille and teaches it to the blind character. Braille was invented by Louis Braille, a blind man, in 1824. The blind character should be the one coming up with it.

Tldr I’m blind and tired of sighted people lol
