That single episode doesn't define Chrysalis as a character, though. If you don't like her then you don't have to like her đ¤ˇ
I enjoy her as a character and moreover as a villain because out of all the villains we know of, she was the most justified. She is a creature who feeds on love. For as long as she has known, her and her give survived solely on feeding off of other creatures love. When she was pretending to be Princess Cadence at her wedding, during "This Day Aria", she said "no I do not love the groom, in my heart there is no room". In my eyes, it seems like she's a queen who was doing her best to provide for an entire colony in the only way she has ever known. As her character progresses through the series, we see her succumb to the loneliness of losing her hive. This leads her to "talk to logs alone in the woods". But she doesn't stay like that. When we see her with Lord Tirek and Cozy Glow, she is a complex character with more personality. Battling between her inherent hatred for friendship and the uneasy yet steadily growing relationship she has with Tirek and Cozy Glow. We see her do silly dances, be sarcastic, be afraid and angry, be vulnerable and so much more. We see her exude mass amounts of confidence while still being put in place by Grogar, where she cowers at his feet. Her "going insane" in that episode did not define her character. So yes, I think she's a pretty epic villain.
Chrysalis I love U (the way sheâs written is so fun. A pretty epic villain tbh)
They're all such cuties patooties!!
I just found something cool (and forgive me if this is common knowledge) but I wanted to share itâ¨â¨
The first image is Twilight Velvet, A.K.A Twilight Sparkle's mom in FiM. The last two images are Twilight from g1!
I think it's so cool when shows utilize character designs from earlier gens!
Also as a bonus here is Twilight Twinkle from g3!!
This art is absolutely stunning đĽšđĽš I love how you imagined her as a fully grown alicorn. Sheâs beautiful!!

S7, E9 of Friendship is Magic
Iâve gotta say, I really enjoyed My Little Pony: The Movie. I wasnât entirely sure what to expect going into it. I think the pacing was done well, and I like the depth that we got to see in Tempest. She was an antagonist, but she also wasnât a villain. She was just a hurt kid who wanted to feel normal again.
These two scenes really showed us how small and hopeless Tempest really feels, despite the fact that The Storm King seems like the most harmless villain ever. I mean obviously he isnât entirely harmless; but he doesnât seem very smart. Without Tempests help, he never would have been able to steal the Alicorn magic. Which makes me wonder why Tempests didnât just do it all on her own. Is that explained in the movie?
I also love that they didnât give her the horn back. She doesnât need to be fixed; the world needs to see her as she is, and she is learning to come to terms with that. I think the movie portrayed this message well. Itâs a good metaphor for any kind of disability in our modern society.
This movie also a had a lot of frames with all of the mane 6 together that were very pretty.
I also want to say that I really enjoy that the movie didnât have the same animation and art style as the show. At first it felt strange, but it quickly became refreshing.
As a little treat, here are some other frames I really super duper like ^^
Gotta get on this shi
