Winn & Jasmine: my MLP AU Edition! ~*
Semi-complex designs for these two as their color schemes are unique, but easily clash. Had to find a fun way to mix them!
I usually base these mlp designs on the prominent colors of their most worn outfit or general color vibes. Utilized to its full extent here :]
Winn
- Winn is a hippogriff! Their hair reminded me of one & they seem to be the tallest of the trio, so this felt like a cool choice for them.
- They were the first in their class to get their cutie mark, in an assignment in which you had to write up a law / act and persuade people to vote in favor of it. Winn did this with both a good presentation and the power of cool as heck skateboard skills. Their cutie mark is a colorfully lined scroll and a skateboard on it! (This cutie mark is based on their answer during the career presentation.)
The whole class was in awe to see them earn it in class, and Dev was rather jealous at first. Ultimately respects them, though.
Jasmine
- Jasmine is a kirin! She reminds me a bit of Autumn Blaze, I think they'd be friends if they were in the same mlp universe.
- She dyes herself with magic to get those blue stripes, spots on her mane and tail, and leopard or cheetah spots (based on the print on her shorts).
- Her cutie mark has to do with her love of music / singing. Even if a bit scratchy & rough right now, passion for something can definitely lead you down plenty of paths you want to be on in the future!
AU Info
- The area they live in has a lot of different creatures living together
- Most of the main character names are easily fantasy names, so I'm keeping them the same for the most part unless the name is less mlp-like. Will likely give them different last names though!

The most intimate experience I’ve ever had with another person has got to be when my friend and I drove around for over an hour and she just patiently listened to my rant about House MD and Hilson even tho she had never watched it and it also wasn’t the type of media she engaged in. And half way through the drive she started constructing a playlist specifically of songs that were so Hilson coded “for inspiration” and once there were a few songs on the playlist we started taking turns explaining what exactly in the song FELT Hilson coded and it’s the closest I’ve felt to being understood
So very randomly last April I was pulled into a little friend group and I’ve had to lie to the two other people in this group about having other friends to hang out with!!! Like lol I was/am a friendless loser so you two are it!!!
Like the other friends I’ve had I talk to like once every six months and don’t hang out with in person lol
Invited just those two goons to have dinner w me for my birthday and they seemed shocked it was just the two of them so I lied and said that my other friends and I were meeting up another day >:)

The crusaders. I know the anatomy is wonky but I still kinda like it.
Cozy Glow as a character frustrates me. Moreover, how we never even sniffed in the direction of a redemption arc for her. (Outside of the shared one with Tirek and Chrysalis in S9 that lasted a whole entire 3 minutes). We never get to see her backstory, learn about her family, and we don’t see any motivation for her actions other than simply wanting more power. We see some other villains who do the same throughout the series, but as far as we aware, cozy glow is just a little girl. Literally just a filly. And she never gets a redemption, or help, or learns a valuable lesson.
She is a kid that hates for the sake of hating until eventually she is turned to stone. I can see from one perspective that this was intentional: having a character that is just bad to be bad can be a refreshing break in the well-built stereotype throughout this show that everyone and anyone can be redeemed. But also. She’s a kid. I don’t like it. I would even argue that that throwing a 10 year old into a horrible, vile, dungeon meant for the most vile criminals and beasts, and then turning her to stone, is inherently immoral. But that’s just me.
I’ve read around about theories that Cozy Glow isn’t actually a filly, and is instead some bigger more-ancient evil being trapped in a filly’s body, or just looking like one. When we first met her character, this is also what I thought. All things considered, she totally could be! In which case, I would probably like the way her story ended a lot more. But in canon, we don’t really get anything that hints this is true. She is a cunning and manipulative foal, and her cutie mark is a chess piece. It tracks. She is kind of just evil because she wants to be, and this little kid gets sent to a horrible prison, and then turned to stone
I have finished Friendship is Magic. I don’t think I will ever be the same. Horses bro.

This show writes sibling dynamics so well, and in a healthy way for children to understand and learn how to handle inevitable conflict. I think it’s fantastic.

I finished watching Equestria Girls: Spring Breakdown for the first time and I loved it 😭
Some of the plot lines didn't make sense to me, but overall it was a lot of fun and I ADORED how the eqg mane 6 got to visit the pony universe
But man oh man, when are these girls gonna catch a break?? Can't they get ONE vacation that doesn't go to shit, PLEASE😭
